Letting her down as carefully as he could he he set her bag next to her and threw his near that. He kneeled in front of her, "Any better?" Making reference to her leg. He already had an idea of what the answer was but wanted to make sure. "I swear I didn't know that was there. I never thought they went out that far." He bowed his head looking at the ground, actively avoiding eye contact.

Scott rolled his eyes at the 'survivalist' comment, he sat back to go through his own bag and opening the first aid kit, "We can change the dressing on your leg with whats left. Nothing to dull it with though, sorry." He said closing the kit. He pulled out his lock picks and held them up to his face, "In case you didn't hear them: name's Scott. Davidson if you want to be formal."

With a nod Scott stood up and took the tent. He flinched when he heard the howl, setting up the tent he looked over his shoulder time from time. He was lucky enough find instructions on how to set it up and it was simple to follow. He looked over at her when it was almost done, "You hunted before right?"

He shook out the thought of the wolf, he moved to get the last side of the tent finished. When it was done he went over to her, "Think that'll do? The only time I ever camped it was me in our backyard." He rubbed the back of his neck and ran his hand through his brown hair, he tried to make it sound less embarrassing than he felt.

"Karmin eh?" He threw himself back and rested the back of his head on his arm. Staring up at the ceiling Scott shifted his eyes to her, "What do you mean 'guess it wouldn't hurt'?" He felt one of his hand clench, "We could have died today and you can't trust me still? I know life is hell right now, but I did risked a lot more than you think to get both of us out of there." He didn't want to sound angry but before the End he grew up knowing two big ways to not get noticed. The cold expression he forced to go unnoticed, or be mad at everything so your left alone.

Scott's face turned red, realizing he got mad for no reason. He sat up again and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Sorry. But you know what? That city we left had some problems too. No one respected brain over brain, it was always 'might equals right' back then." He bowed his head and looked back up with a slight grin, "Strange as it may seem there was one thing I respected, a biker gang. The way they took charge, the devil may care appearance, I wanted to join them when I was a kid. But I grew out of that, for the most part."

"Burning store on the same block, hearing motorcycles outside your window every night, and your dad given ya a good smack on the back of the head." He said then pulled out his lock picks from his pocket, holding it out for her to see he stated, "He got me into working with these, it was kinda the family business. We made keys and helped idiots you locked themselves out of their cars."

Noticing the remark, "I don't steal." Then remembering the events that day he smiled. He fell back and put his head on the jacket. He close his eyes, facing upward with his arms under his head. "G'night, I guess." It was strange, he felt more comfortable in the tent than a building. Away from his 'home'.

Having been awake for a while, Scott sat there looking blankly forward. Elbows on his knees and his arms covered his chest. He was in drowsy state almost having a somber look to him. He yawned and softly cursed the morning, not yet realizing that Karmin was awake. The mornings were never that enjoyable to him, sometimes the morning was beautiful but it was too much effort to get up.

"Huh? Oh, right. Got it." Standing up he threw his jacket over his shoulder and walked out of the tent. He took the bags down from the tree first then started to take apart the tent. The weapons were back on his person before the tent fell athis feet. As he fumbled around with the tent he talked to himself, "Greens? Whatever that means, probably won't kill me."

"Guess we should be going then, huh?" He said but then remembered that she was hopping to get around he got closer to her side, "Just to ask, why do you follow the river? Seems a bit unorthodox." He was facing her to talk but he had to smile, it was like she was becoming more of a friend than a partner that he had to work with.

"I'll try to remember that." He said before he brought his attention to her, "I want to know something: what happens when we see people? We already been in a firefight, we know how guns work, but I mean people who are just trying to survive like us?" He had reminded himself of the group he left and had a small twitch in his face. He was holding Karmin closer and the way he supported her, he did so without realizing it.
