Vielle lifted her head to look at Savae from about three fox-lengths away, tail flicking. "Oh, right."[/justify]

She gave a soft sigh and burrowed her head under Meimei's chin, hoping to receive some comfort from the dappled coat of her smaller sibling. "We'll be okay, Mei." she whispered, ignoring the others. "She'll be back, she has to come back." She curled her fluffy tail around herself, ears flat to her scalp. Keep telling yourself that. a voice whispered to her, but she was too tired and her heart ached too bad to listen.

She was relieved not to find the suffocating scent of death on her mother, and began to weep profusely into her fur.
