Santiago sent a smirk in the girl's direction, chuckling as she stuck her tounge out at him. She had made her first impression phenomenally so far, asserting her presence loudly and assertively; that was something he could respect. Curious to what she appeared to be cooking, he approached with a faint wag in his tail, sitting himself down in the group. He want really sure just what he was looking at as he peered into the bucket, though he was cut off by her bold question just as he was about to inquire about it. His smirk pulled further onto his lips as he answered with a wink. "You'll have to try a little bit harder than that, señora. Though, I cannot say the same about my clanmate here.", He joked, nudging the bengal with a laugh.
Yeah well ur a nerd
aND YEAH HES TRYING SO HARD
CAN RUN FROM HIS GAY THOUGHTS
Taking a moment to stare at his paw intently before Ghost had pulled away, he stared just a moment longer before he set it back down, head tilting slightly as he gazed up at the other with genuine facination in his eyes. "It is very impressive how quickly you became used to existing in this form.", he began, a small, friendly smile sat upon his lips, as if he had done nothing wrong at all. "Usually it takes spirits far longer to control themselves as well as you seem to, your spirit must be very very strong." Ideas of everything he had been taught about ghosts tumbled over in his mind, and there were a lot. He did not see this as a loss, no, a spirit as strong as Ghost's would have no problem inhabiting another vessel should he choose to. "Do you think there is anything else you can do besides floating and moving through objects?"

Regret of the past was not unfamiliar to Santiago, hell, probably not to anyone. Everyone had regrets of some type or another, all knowing painful sting of its haunting. However, the conviction and the absolute honesty in Jaso-, no, Fragilepast's voice held so much more frustration in himself than the average being could comprehend. Santiago no idea what it was that his clanmate had done, though he made it more than clear it had to be something heinous. The mutt intently to the speech until the end, sat near Gillian. "As far as I know, you don't have anything to prove to me.", he replied, sending the bangle a small smile. "Sure, I don't know what you have to make up for, but hey. Free clean slate, si?"

now you can sell him as scrap metal
The headache inducing, guttural noises that came from X woke Santiago in a near panic, smacking his head against the wall as he scanned the room for its source. "Ugh..", grumbling about his stupidity, the mutt pushed himself groggily onto his feet, headed outside to find out who was injured. There was really no other explanation for a noise so horrid. However, upon connecting the dots of the odd stripped hyena's small crowd, he was left unsurprising. "Good question.", he answered Ghost, stopping to sit beside him. God this guy was strange.
// You're fine, I'm the one who needs to apologize for late replies haha
Santiago look over his shoulder as the sound as lighter paws sounded from behind him, then turning around to face the small feline. He immediately recognized the other as the unknown cat who had stumbled into camp with poorly wrapped bandages adorning his battered body, claiming to have been a member prior to his intrusion. "Oh, yes, it has been an off day for hunting.", he responded with a small smile, sitting to look down at Edd. "Are you feeling better? Your wounds look very bad last I saw you."
/ No, it's great!
The oppressive summer heat fell hard onto Santiago's deep brown coat, his house had created an oven like quality that he could no longer bear to sit in, driving him out into the open territory. Though less claustrophobic, it was not much better, as even the winds held a humid warmth to them. A heavy sigh left the mutt, the weather seeming to be a close mirror to his current state of mind- suffocating. Figuring he may as well do something productive aside from brew in solitude, he pushed himself further into the territory, ears perking at a new sound that pushed away the scuttling of prey he had previously been focused on. He listened carefully to the whimpering, his pace shifting from a leisure walk to a quick jog the closer he got, senses alert for the source. Moving at the pace he had been, Santiago nearly passed up the girl all together, pushing his paws into the dirt for a hard stop before her. She looked pitiful, his ears laying back as he looked her over, giving her a small smile in an attempt to comfort her. "Hey, its okay, mija.", he said gently, shushing her softly as he lowered himself to her level. He had no question as to what he was to do with the child, his paternal instincts taking over completely. "My name is Santiago, may I pick you up? I want to take you somewhere very safe. We'll get you a good lunch and take care of your paws, sí?"
//uugh im so sorry this took so long! I've been real busy with work lately haha. please excuse the rush ren targaryen
The annoyed grumbling of the mutt was far less quiet than he intended, kicking stray sticks from his path as he walked aimlessly. Santiago hadn't the least clue as to where he was. All he had wanted to do was to get out of Thunderclan for awhile, its layouts becoming repetitive and boring every walk he took, but at least he was bored and knew where he was. The stresses of being lost made him flinch at every noise he heard from behind him, on edge and prepared for the the undesirable possibility he had wandered into enemy lands.
It was obvious the girl was frightened, after all it only made sense for her to be. She was young, exhausted from her lack of sustenance, bleeding from her paw pads, and alone. His number one objective was to get her somewhere safe where she could be fed and cared for, number two of course making sure she remained as comfortable as he could possibly make her throughout the whole experience. Santiago wasted no time once she had answered him, pushing himself to his paws, he explained himself before he made another move. "I'm going to pick you up now, okay?" He gave her a moment to prepare herself before attempting to gently grip the scruff of her neck between his teeth, moving at a steady pace until they would arrive at the entrance of the Thunderlcan camp. Before anything else, she needed water.
Not stopping to answer any of the questioning looks he was cast, the canine made a beeline for the stream that cut through their camp. Careful to avoid contact of the ground with her tattered paws, Santiago aimed to lay Raven on her side near the edge of the stream so that she could drink. Despite his fears, he quickly moved into the shallows of the stream, standing between Raven and its depths.
//yeah of course!
It was a wonder the child remained so calm and collected being in such a strange new place, though the shock was mostly likely minuscule in comparison to her abandonment. Santiago knew a thing or two about being left behind, his own abandonment being the only reason he was here at all. He remembered the fear, the panic, the guilt. He remembered it all too well, but in the moment Raven's remembrance and recovery were really all that mattered to him. The mutt watched her intently as she lapped up some fluids, careful not to let her slip into the stream.
Her question forced him to pause, sympathy growing in his eyes. What a feeling to be left behind by a mother of all things. He let out a small sigh, again lowering his head to her line of sight. "What is your name, mija?", he asked politely, knowing his next words would sting her. "I don't know your mother, and I don't know where she's gone to either. But, what I do know, is that I'm here and you're here, okay? Nothing is going to hurt you while I'm here." His words held a deep sincerity, a smile forming as he joked this time. "Think of my life your own personal bodyguard. I'm at your service, señora." Next she would need something to eat.
She looked old enough to eat soilds as opposed to milk, and he gestured for an npc to bring him a rat, nodding his thanks as the other dropped the meal at Raven's paws. Santiago tired his best to ignore the drag of the current over his paws as he moved to inspect her thron ridden paw pads. "I'm going to try and pull these out okay?", he told her carefully, though he would wait until she was distracted in a bite of her food to try and remove them.
