Slowly, the azure dragon approached the border, holding its head high. Although it hardly doubted that there would be any real danger upon being here, Jacki was still nervous. Sniffing the air, it huffed out a small sneeze and then settled down into a sitting position, folding its wings upon its back. "I mean no harm."it said. [b]"I'm only here to join this clan. No funny business."

The dragon just snorted at the adults words, giving a small nod towards them. "I am Jacki. Honestly, I was hoping to calm you all, considering that dragons are usually not taken as friendly creatures. I guess that did fu-... Nothing at all to help."it said, keeping itself from slipping up and cursing in front of the young kitten that arrived.

At the sound of a kit talking to himself, Jacki made its approach. If it had eyebrows, it would be raising those things like the son it never had. "Who are you talking to, youngling?"it asked, plopping down near the kit. By plopping down, it meant flopping to the ground in a lazing position. Sniffing the air, it smelt no one nearby.

The azure dragon didn't fail to notice its clan-mates unease toward it upon its arrival. Most of all, it had noticed the vice-leader's. Although it normally didn't care about things so trivial as who liked it or not, it did not like the feeling of having those that were supposed to trust it being a bit fearful of it. "Polarispride, right?"it said, approaching the small feline. Well, small relative to its size. [b]"I think we need to talk."

Huh. Well, that was a blunt answer, but it guessed that it should have been expected from a kit. "I guess. Sounds like a classic haunting. Those happen every once in a while. I've never had one."Jacki said, shrugging its shoulders.

Growling, the dragon approached the camp, its wings pressed tightly against its sides to keep it from being blown around. "I could help with the building."it offered, shaking water off of its scales as it sunk its talons into the soil to ground itself. [b]"You would probably need some brute force on your side."

The dragon moved itself behind Lavapaw and Inkkit, blocking off a bit of the wind as they walked. Although Jacki couldn't do much to help, at least its large form would provide a little bit of shelter from the worst of the storm as the others headed toward the caves. It would enter after everyone was safe. "Be careful. I'll keep a little bit of the wind off, if I can. I'll head in after ya'll."it said, looking toward the storm with narrowed eyes.

At the sound of happiness among all the dread that had been around recently, the dragon perked up a bit. It headed toward the sound, surprised to see the general dancing in the rain like a child. Huh. It guessed that even those who were supposed to be the most adult could still be kids at heart. A smile tugged at Jacki's lips. "What are you doing out here? Aren't we supposed to be... you know... inside?"said the dragon. That was kind of redundant, considering that it was not inside, either.

The dragon was a bit surprised to learn that there was a hatchling here. Although Jacki had seen other dragons before, it had not expected there to be another of its kind here, honestly. Especially not one so young. So, it made its approach, folding its wings upon its back in an attempt to look less huge and threatening. "Hello, little one. I think we have a few things in common."

The dragon softened its features a bit at the feline's obvious nervousness around it. "You don't need to be afraid of me, you know. I have no intention of causing any trouble. Well, maybe for enemies, but not for this clan."Jacki said, sitting down and folding its broad wings against its sides. Basically, it was just making an attempt to look smaller and less threatening, if possible.

At that, the elder dragon was definitely a bit surprised. While, in its lifetime, it had never laid eggs, it felt a bit guilty to tell the hatchling that and ruin its day. Ugh, why did that have to be the first question asked? It was hoping to get questions about how to fly and what its scales were for.

"I... Possibly."it said, unsure how else to respond to the situation. Clearing its throat, it shifted its eyes away, gathering itself. Don't ruin the kid's day. Jacki wasn't exactly... the best caretaker when it came to children, but it had no intention of causing the child distress. [b]"I'm Jacki. What's your name, kid?"

At the sound of the kit's voice, the dragon narrowed its eyes. "It would probably be best to get to the tunnels, then. The underground needs as much help as it can get in protecting those down there. They are short of help in there. You think you can handle it?"Jacki said. Although that was total bull, it hoped that the kit would buy it and head to safety.

Damn. The dragon quickly thought up more to say. "We're good here. The more kits helping out down there, the safer they are. If you're out here, you aren't helping those in need. We have this under control. Down there, they need a leader to tell them what to do."
