Shila awoke to the smell of smoke filling her nostrils. Alarmingly the girl sat up with ears pointed high. What She saw was chaos. Blue eyes grew wide as she tried to her her paws under her feet. This was bad. She didnt like the humans, but they were on this earth for a reason. The girl moved at a fast pace out from behind a trashcan where she was sleeping. The smell only got worse. As she began at a sprint across an open area, she stopped just short of the ugliest thing she had ever seen. Shila let out a snarl and dove between its legs continuing her race to safety.

Taint was training to become a police dog. The malinois sat when all of a sudden he could hear explosions and loud crashing sounds. The humans in the office went to go see what was happening, when a creature started tearing them from inside out. He saw the creature come down the row of cages, and he let out a series of loud barks. He was stuck in his kennel. He could hear small whimpers of the dog in the kennel next to him. She was called Brisk and very young. She had just begun her training. Brisk? Hey, I'm going to get everyone out, okay? He said loud enough for the pup to hear. O-okay. Can you hurry? Something fell on my leg. Brisk said from the kennel. He left the air silent as he worked to open the kennel. Once he succeeded, he went out and helped Brisk. Taint saw that a beam from the ceiling had fallen on her leg.

As Taint helped her, she smelled fire. The pup hadnt seen anything go down, just woke up to pain. As soon as the beam was removed from her leg, she stood hastily on three good legs. It had been a hind leg that was hurt, and even though Taint advised to not get up straight away, she didn't listen.This whole place is gonna go down we have to leave. She said. Taint nodded as she hobbled out with him in tow. They travelled avoiding large groups of the creatures. When they got to one of the creatures, the only way for both of them to survive was for them to split. Okay Taint, im going this way and you go that way, okay? She was off before he could protest, as she hopped along she kept her head up, she would do fine.
