Link nodded. "Yes. I do. I know a few interesting facts. One is that the land wasn't evened before building. There are paths within the outer walls that you can follow, and it has not a single step. But if you follow it far enough you'll find your suddenly much higher than where you started. Also, Winterfell was built on hot springs. The water flows through most of the walls and works as a heating system. See?" He pressed a paw up against one of the walls, feeling the warm current of the spring water underneath. Not all walls were like this, but the nicer areas were.

Link's goats seemed to get more and more agitated, especially shown by the few that were fighting. Their horns met with a mighty Clack! as the two head butted each other, while another few roamed close to the fence, knocking their heads against them.

Suddenly the thundering of hooves and the bleating of about 15 or so goats. They trampled a section of fence and escaped, running around the already disheveled farm in a panic. These were strong and stubborn goats, too. The only way to stop these buggers was to literally stop them by grabbing them and throwing them to the ground, or letting them run themselves tired.

The goats did indeed run away from Rook, back towards a small barn that looked like where the goats were kept when not grazing. However not all of them went that direction. A few ran towards where the Exilers were hiding, threatening to trample their hiding spot. And another ran towards Rook, towards escape or trampling the Targaryen if it wasn't stopped.
There was a very specific way these goat needed to be handled due to their stubborn nature, and Link had knew how well. The only other person that had seen Link tend his goats was Strider.

The popping balloons scared the goats even further, causing them to stampede away from the barn and the sound. Too bad these weren't the kind of goats that fainted when scared. However, luckily, the flame had a hard time catching to the wooden barn. The north was cold and the wood was damp, making it hard to set on fire.
