Damn, that sucks. The small gym of my middle school was like that, too.
My school doesn't have a gym. But we have a bike shop class and everyone there goes on like, hour long bike rides across town together. XD

XD I do too, kinda. But with the eye dilation stuff it makes everything out of focus and your eyes very sensitive to light, at least for me. So it's very difficult to see things in general, no matter how bright or dark it is.
Or maybe that's just me having horrible depth perception. There's that, too.

I'm far sighted in one eye
Near sighted in the other
And I have astigmatism.
And I had a lazy eye for a while but it corrected itself mostly
So I sometimes have double vision and can't put the images from both eyes together properly.
And because of all that wasn't caught when I was little when the brain trains itself in seeing, I have trouble judging depth. Even with glasses/contacts.
I find myself stepping too high up stairs and I'll stumble down curbs cause I don't realize there's much of a change in terrain. XD
