A single universe has a frequency somewhere within the range of 0 - 3 (decimals as well). And all beings within a universe will have frequencies of similar numbers. In order for something to exist within a universe its frequency must be similar or match. If your frequency were to raise or lower to be beyond the range of a universe you would fade from there (gradually, as your frequency gets farther) and end up in the closest universe of your new frequency (if none are close enough you simply begin to drift in nothingness)

That being said your frequency must raise to preform magic, as this world is physical (FR 1) while magic is within the range of FR 2 (Astral).

As the FR of something increases further from your native FR you will find it harder and harder to understand the concept (One reason it is believed a 4th FR could exist and not be understood by physical beings). If somethings FR is lower than your own it will seem to simply be part of your reality, like how matter seems to simply be a part of physical existence.

A living being or spirits FR can never change its primary number. A physical being can only ever exist within an FR of 1 - 1.9. However an FR of 1.6 is all one needs to enter an FR 2 world (although they wont be able to perceive all things there)
(2.6 is all needed to enter (barely) a spiritual world)

the closer you are to a worlds FR the more rooted you are in that world, if you lower too far you'll snap back to your previous world (if it hasn't moved away) and if you raise too high you'll start to leave to a higher reality

the higher you go in FR the more energy it takes to do so

things such as light and heat are the closest things to an FR of 2 in the physical world and can interfere with similar FR magics such as ghost communication and necromancy.

FRs of #.6 - #.7 will technically place you in the world higher than the "#" shown but you are technically in both worlds at once. ghosts often enter this range and this is why they can interact and be somewhat seen but still not fully be there (as their FR is naturally a 2)

a soul is extremely complex in its FR, it exists in all FRs technically (although most strongly in the physical with your body) until you die, then it transitions slowly into being centered in the astral where it then "dies" and transitions into a being of only FR 3.

Frequency Range 0 - Inert nothingness, almost like an energetic black hole.
Frequency Range 1 - This is the level of reality you are experiencing now, it is the physical world.
Frequency Range 2 - This is the Astral level of reality. This can be the realm where spirits, and magic resides.
Frequency Range 3 - The Spiritual level. This realm is poorly understood by earth humans but it can be said to house god and angel-like beings. Entities of creation and destruction.

There are five types of universes

Isolated - The Energies of these universes are almost completely held within them. Although those universes which are often extremely close by (perhaps orbited the isolated world) can be effected or effect it, the smaller worlds frequency raising or lowering to match the larger.

Influenced - The Energies and FR of these worlds are easily manipulated by larger (and smaller) wolds approaching them. They are prone to extreme energy shirts and can be highly unstable in many ways.

Extroverted - These worlds are essentially the opposite of the influenced worlds. They change the energies and FRs of worlds around them very easily and are the best ones at influencing Isolated worlds.

Standard - The energies and FRs of this world are effected by others as normal, no major changes, yet still changes, occur when other worlds approach / receded from them.

Intertwined - When two worlds (which can be any other types as well) are connected with each other in a way that when they approach each other they effect each other greatly (both could even be isolated worlds). They could effect each other equally or it could be a one-way relationship.

Those humans born with natural magic ability (or use artifacts to work magic) know that each energy they manipulate has a FR (which must also stay within the range of the world its in [# - #.9] This creates some interesting interactions...

Sensory Magic - FR of 1.6 || light and heat do not effect it as it manipulates them

Necromancy/ Ghost magic - FR of 1.65 || light and heat must be removed as much as possible as they effect this magic (being of similar frequency)

Physical magic - FR of 1.67 || example: telekinesis

Healing/ Body magic - FR of 1.76 || Although light and heat CAN effect this magic it is not only less common but also usually more helpful than harmful for the work

Elemental magic - FR of 1.81 || Air, Earth, Fire, Water

Divination - FR of 1.89 || This is a very difficult frequency to reach as it must be exactly this number

Pure Energy Manipulation - FR of 1.9 - 1.99 || Very very difficult (especially 1.99) and extremely rare, it can be used to do all the other magics as well)

To explain the magics of the astral world (FR 2.6 - 2.9) would be impossible.

Several years ago a world now known as Terra Arcanus strayed close to our own (Terra Mundus) and caused a great change. Although the world seems no different many humans (the younger the more likely) became suddenly able to use magic (not usually an innate ability on Terra Mundus) Since then classes and businesses have been made from it, although there are many who claim these abilities evil and fight against them. Those who weren't given magic can use magic artifacts made by others (although the more powerful artifacts are more difficult or even impossible for them to use, some have killed non-magic users while trying to tap into energy that just wasn't within them.) Many of the anti-magics groups have been known to get violent as well. Since the waking a "magic council" has been made which communicates with the people of Terra Arcanus and establish our own magic laws, and even has the ability to revoke you magic ability if a law is broken.

The strangest thing though is how those who have magic took to it. Many have natural abilities in one of the magics (telekinesis, invisibility, etc) without effort, while still having to work for even similar frequencies of magic. And a few individuals have been known to have extraordinary world hopping abilities, moving between universes quite freely.

These powers are able to interact with people and things around the individual.

These powers can only effect the individual with them.

The user's body always appears human, and has taken on no characteristics from their speciated creature.

The individual may always or at times share some but not all physical characteristic with their speciated creature.

The individual may physically become their speciated creature and lacks any form of in-between phase.

(Disclaimer: Powers often depend on the specific speciated creature, a speciated canary individual will have quite different abilities from a speciated ostrich individual, yet both are birds. This list provides typical abilities, traits, and weaknesses, not all speciated individuals will have all traits listed, and may have more.)

Amphibians - can climb walls, produce specialized mucus, fast regeneration, extended breath, loves water, must be well hydrated

Birds - sings well, flock instinct, nesting instinct, motherly instinct (monoform speciated birds often don't know they have powers)

Canines - physically strong, strong sense of smell and hearing, pack instinct, impulsive

Cats - stealthy, able to move silently, quick reflexes, aggressive, loner

Fish - able to breath underwater, fast swimmer, schooling instinct, often acts before thinking

Fungi - fast regeneration, can eat about any organic thing without illness, needs lots of water to live, most comfortable in dark places

Insects - (depends greatly on insect) skilled hider, can climb walls, stronger skin, super strength, swarm mentality, easily manipulated, often acts before thinking

Mammals - (depends greatly on mammal) motherly instinct

Microorganism - (depends greatly on microorganism) fast regeneration, easily manipulated, often acts before thinking

Plant - gains energy from the sun, fast regeneration, needs lots of water and sun to live and function

Reptiles - tougher skin, can climb walls, cold blooded

Trees - tougher skin, gains energy from the sun, grows taller than most people but very slowly, needs lots of water and sun to live and function, slow thinking

Angels - light manipulation, light weapons, strong sense of morals, strong leaders, cannot lie, cannot break the law, needs a lot of light to be well

Demons - darkness manipulation, fire manipulation, magical contracts (debated), difficulty with authority, difficulty with developing a moral code, too much light is painful and makes them ill

Dragons - fire breathing, fire manipulation, super tough skin, super strength, loner, hoarding instinct, aggressive, always one vulnerable point on body which is easy wounded (serious if damaged)

Elementals - (depends greatly on element) affinity towards an element, needs a lot of that element to live, often acts before thinking

Elves - tall, serious disposition, affinity towards nature, plant manipulation, animal communication, needs proximity to nature and light to live, artificial things/ lights can make them ill/ uncomfortable

Ents - all traits of trees, all traits of elves, reduced intelligence, made very sick by artificial things, cant eat meat

Fairies - happy disposition, short, plant communication/ manipulation, animal communication, needs lots of light to live, produces odd dust from hair, physically weak

Ghosts - invisibility, intangibility, inaudibility, levitation, telekinesis, rarely has control of powers, too much light makes them ill, hates change

Liches - communicate with/ control the dead, death touch, telekinesis, immune to/ can control speciated ghosts, telepathy, almost always obligate duoform, nocturnal, light makes them very ill, aggressive, physically weak

Sirens - singing creates mind control (works best on people who find them attractive), always physically female, loves water, flock instinct, aggressive, physically weak, needs lots of meat in diet

Trolls - physically strong, very tough skin, tall, can eat almost anything, reduced intelligence, bad odor, poor senses of sight and hearing

Vampires - physically strong, fast, fast regeneration, can take energy from those around them, look young longer, pale, needs to drink blood (human or otherwise), invisible in mirrors, sunlight harms them, (cannot convert others)
