Oh... Like staff. Sorry I'm not actually hiring... Anyone. This is kind of a slow thread and it would just cause fuss spreading out jobs and stuff. Besides, i'm not actually making FK here. Just me, just helping.
After a few minutes, I finally stopped crying and put my head up. I tried to avoid looking at him, but every little move he made brought my eyes back to him. There was no use watching the street anyways; I wasn't going to be able to pick out anything that could help me get home in this dark. He started talking to me. I guess he was trying to offer reassurance or something, but it kinda made me mad.
I was still scared as hell, so I couldn't really say anything in my head. I let my legs slide down the seat. I crossed my arms in front of myself, shifting over slightly so I could look out the window instead of at him. It didn't help. My mind projected half the night into the empty road. I could still see everything. Right down to the face this guy had been making when he was hitting that guy. Killing him. My stomach lurched again at the memory. And then there was the alleyway. I'd been so sure that he was just going to kill me then and there. I still didn't know he wasn't. The images were starting over again. I turned away from the window. Looking over at him again,
I turned over what he had said to me. Didn't matter if it hadn't been his objective, I was kidnapped now. The last comment struck me as oddly redundant. What did he think, I didn't know this whole kidnapping thing was dangerous? I wanted to say something, but what do you say to someone who just kidnapped you after beating a guy dead with bare hands? I still felt like crying. Perhaps I still would. I just didn't want him to see anymore. I still hadn't responded to anything he said. But I couldn't think of anything, either. I knew lots of cool things I could say like in a movie, but this wasn't a movie. This was real and he was real and he probably had some very real weapon on him. Didn't really need one though, did he? The thought made me shiver. "Yeah. Okay."
I glanced around he dimly lit cul-de-sac, only half paying attention. My lips tightened when he parked the car. Was he just going to kill me there, now? I brought my eyes back to him reluctantly. Only when he started talking did I calm down a little bit. Not for long, though. The scowl was as unsettling for me as the rest of his words. Listening to him about 'others', I did recall there being other people in the alleyway. I hadn't picked out any faces but his. Perhaps that was for the best. God, how could he be so casual about this? Great choices. Stay kidnapped, possibly live. Go home, most likely not.
"If this is lenient, I'm not going to risk the others." I spoke slowly, but it still shocked me. What was I thinking? Agreeing to stay in a criminal-a murderer-'s house, under his protection with only words to trust, it was nothing short of crazy. It almost hurt to agree to staying. Every time I blinked I could see his face as he got up off that man. That dead man. I swallowed hard. This would have been easier had he just stayed cold. I could've just run off or something and actuAlly felt all right. All the way up to the second I was shot. The thought was bitter.
"Just for the love of god, don't be lying to me." I crossed my arms in front of myself, kind of slouching back into the seat. I knew I'd probably have to get up soon, but it didn't matter right then. My heart was still doing bAckflips in my chest, but it felt like I needed to make up for being so scared. Or at least for looking it.
Hi terrible. It's good, but I honestly don't know enough about the cats thing to understand what's really going on. For conventions I'd suggest starting a new paragraph for every NEW person... Cat... Thing comes in and talks. Not for the story, but for the one coming in at the end and the little baby person... Cat... Thing. Sorry I can't be much help. I don't want your writing to be a victim of my inexperience on the subject presented.
No problem. Thank you for being such a great sport! :)
is this thread dying? I don't want it to.
Oh okay!
Sorry if i'm coming off as impatient I've just had a lot of people ditch roleplays early along... ![]()
[Yeah, this is another one of my pretty boys. Please stop kissing the screen.]
With the arrival of the seemingly too-soon morning came a strange, unnatural thumping sound, followed by a couple of curses. Daxton was awake the second his head hit the second stair, and knew right away which boy to glare up at for it. He glided up to his feet, appearing to keep calm all the way up the short staircase to the top deck area of the vessel. Upon which he gave Thorn something-or-other an amiable grin and a right hook to the jaw. They'd been moored at Tortuga just two days now, and already the new boy had forgotten his place at sea.
Daxton easily caught a kick the other boy tried to hurl at him, stopping him dead and then shoving him on his well-dressed a$$. He had a weird way of attacking. It'd be easier to just punch back. Spindle-legs made fighting look like dancing.
"Listen, fairy boy, and listen closely." He snarled, pushing the kid down by his chest with a booted foot when he tried to rise, "I don't like you. Probably never will. You might see the rest of the crew beat up on me a little, but that's different than this. Here's what I'm going to do next time you pull a stunt like that." He grabbed the other boy by the front of his poorly made leather vest, lifting him off the ground so they were nose to nose. On Thorn's side, it may have involved a bit of dangling. "I will run you bloody well all the way through with your own bloody sword."
Thorn rubbed the side of his face as Daxton shoved him away, looking a bit like an alley cat that'd just been kicked. He was slender for a boy, on the short side for his fifteen years of age. He looked younger, with the soft, babyish features he had. The boy wore mostly dark clothes, pants that stopped halfway down the calf and a red button-up shirt instead of the common white. Boy didn't talk much, except to bark 'aye, captain' or ask for odd things from shore like glass buttons.
They'd been left by captain and crew as night guards against whatever thieves there could be lurking in Tortuga. Both boys had fallen asleep with nothing to do, Daxton at the top of the stairs, the little snake Thorn curled up in an empty basket meant for whatever goods the pirates could get their hands on. Likely, the men were sleeping under deck now. Meant it was their opportunity to put their faces in a drink or catch a good fight. For Daxton, anyways. Thorn's idea of down time seemed to be playing at cat's cradle with a bit of leather cord or sitting up as high as he could climb on the ship.
Two. "Thorn" is actually Rose Thorn. My girl. Sory I probably shoulda cleader that up. If you read again you'll se e it now.
Daxton whirled on her the second he recognized footsteps behind him. It was a bit of a shock to see two more boys when he'd been expecting one. A familiar scraping sound told him Thorn had bared blade already. A skittish one to say the least.
"Y'know, I'm not in the right temper to deal with trespassers right now. Thank you kindly if you'd just shove off before I decide to do something drastic." He gave the taller one a twisted smile, unsheathing a rather wicked looking dagger with a flick of his wrist. "A lot of bodies turn up in these waters," he threatened, "So what's two more to the grand scheme of things?" He hoped the threat would be enough to drive them off. He was positive he could take the one in front of him. Didn't look quite so tough as he must think himself. Dax put three fingers on the handle of the gun at his belt. He never really used the thing, mostly because he seemed to have irreversibly terrible aim.
He'd barely noticed Thorn for most of this. Difficult not to, now. The boy's left hand glinted with one of the gold chain bracelets he was so fond of utilizing in fights. Wrapped around his fist, they'd cut up anyone's face just as bad as a knife. Knife in the other hand, he'd be quite the menacing sight. If it weren't for being three inches shorter than the kid he was sneaking up on.
Thorn pressed her knife into Turner's back, just enough to serve as a warning and possibly rip cloth. Her fist was tight around her bracelet, raised for a quick attack if the boy tried something stupid. Under the gold chain, her knuckles were white. No matter how she could convince anyone else, this was a real boy. She was not. "Just stand still." She growled, mimicking Daxton's tone just a smidge.
Mmkay. :) *.* [=(|)--<---<
That last one may be a monkey.
So... Hoping this'll work. *hem* Alright, I'm low on roleplays right now. I'd like to fix that with a few good, advanced ones that I can be dedicated to. Not just a bunch of quick plots, please! I've been having problems with people leaving my threads after like twenty posts and then not replying to Pms asking why. Im off topic.
What I Will Roleplay:
Medieval
Modern gang war
I guess spiderman :)
Runaway person (not the lame just running from scientists or whatever the crap is like realistic people)
Guy cheating on girl (guy me?)
Hunger games (maybe)
Any magic, superpowers, psychi baloney, etc.
WHAT I WILL NOT ROLEPLAY
Alright, flat out no celebrities. No justin bieber, no onedirection, just no.
Animals (wolves, birds, spiders, dogs, animals, those weird hybrid person anime dog things, etc etc.)
Angels
ANY KIND OF SCHOOL

My little pony
Disney movies
Most movies
So yeah that's aboutit.
CHILDREN UNDER A VERY MATURE THIRTEEN
Si, the list finally ended. The only theme I really won't do is horror. Everything else I'm down. Come to me with plot ideas!
Daxton gave Tora an easy nod, seeming to settle into a more relaxed standing position. He looked more like one of the dogs the pirates would let loose on each other in Tortuga. Dogfights were events he liked to watch sometimes. He looked the other boy over more carefully. Looked as if the babyface thing Thorn had going on was more common in pirates than he'd thought.
He'd just about been going to sheath his knife and tell Thorn to do the same, but the fairy boy seemed to have other plans. Daxton cussed, twirling his own blade back into a ready position and giving a sour look to the older one. If these two cut the kid's throat and left, he'd take the blame for it for sure. "Call the little twitchblade off." He growled, angrier at Thorn than he was at the other kid. These two could already be leaving, but no. Of course the idiot had to get physical.
Thorn took in a sharp breath as she slammed down on the deck. Clenching her jaw, ignoring her own knife pointing at her blade-first, she brought herself up to her feet facing Turner. Anger was predominant in the mix of emotions roiling about inside her right now. There was too little fear to keep her careful, enough adrenaline to make her believe what she did next was a good idea.
She faked a small stagger to the side, darting a hand out and pushing his knife hand wide with the back of her right hand. "Y'don't want to be putting your chances on my height, friend." She lunged forward at him, throwing a solid punch toward his jaw with the skin-splitting gold bracelet wrapped around her left fist.
That's cool. I don't have much experience with hem but I think it'd be cool to have that character dynamic going on. What person would you want to play? (Cheater, cheatee, cheated, etc) i like playing guys, i can play girls, so yeah. I also like doing a hit of planning. Not hardcore like at this time we'll do this and next that i like putting ideas out there and just letting it flow into them randomly. You?
@Fragment, for this I think no younger than 17. I dunno about you but nothing ticks me off more than little kids (14 and under) being dramatic because their "boy/girlfriend" "cheated" on them. If they're older they could be a little more make-sense ish. That's just what I think. Where should we start in the relationship? I'm thinking a couple days before he starts being naughty.
@Frisson, It actually is pretty fun but if you’re not into the harsher stuff I’d step away from it. I’m totally comfortable roleplaying it so I wouldn’t have a good sense of when to back off. But if you’re all right with it being a bit harsh I would suggest our characters not being on the same side. I’ve done the same side thing before and it kinda sucks. What kind of characters are you good at playing? I’ll give you mine after.
