"mhmm. I know how life works, sweetheart." bethan rolled her green-flecked orbs with a huff, "but capturing the killer might just help prevent any future murder cases, saving lives -- anyone with a brain knows that." the attorney responded with a flicker of her whiskers. she gritted her teeth with a sigh -- there was certainly a mess to clean up too. -
"oh please. don't even start with me, honey." the attorney retorted with a sheepish grin, a light-heated giggle arising from her throat. "what did manners ever do to you, horronzo? no wait, I'm not even going to bother continuing -- just get to work, you lousy codfish." -
bethan read the invitation with an ever growing, mischievous grin tugging at the corners of her lips. "hm. setting up a concert, horrorzo? I'll be sure to bring a few of my tomatoes along." the young cat smirked to herself before stepping out through the door way. because of her somewhat good heart, beth probably wouldn't be tossing any tomatoes at horrorzo anytime soon -- despite the fact she had dreamt of it many, many times. but she knew better than to anger the always angry horrorzo. -
"whatever you say, horrorzo." the young tabby huffed softly, inspecting the victim's paws. there were no traces of fur in between his paws, which made beth's heart sink low in the cavity of her chest -- some fur of the attacker would have been a good clue. "alright, alright, I'll help. just hold your horses." Beth replied, grabbing hold of the limp, heavy body. horrorzo was right, the victim certainly displayed a few extra pounds. -
Beth's ears were practically ringing after the song had ended. there was a quizzical expression displayed upon the young feline's face. "I don't know he could sing...? If you can even call that singing." the attorney's head was tipped to one side as she spoke, her voice soft with disbelief and confusion. she wasn't exactly a fan of screamo, or whatever they called it, but it certainly was something... Different. Horrorzo was definitely entertaining on stage, his style was unique and almost captivating. -
the little attorney was certainly no match for such a large creature, she was a cat after all -- not even full grown. there was absolutely no way she was going to throw herself into that mess, besides, the others seemed to have the whole situation under control. instead, beth just sat back and observed from a safe distance away. if the others did require help, she wouldn't hesitate. -
"I've got a question!" the little brown tabby interrupted, a wide grin forming her maw. her tail was swaying from left to right, similar to the wagging tail of a dog. "Who's your favorite out of all of the court?" the question seemed to spill out of her mouth, "~ better be me, horrorzo..!" beth called with her unmistakable, childish cackle. -

//zo you little squat! -
Beth joined Eco at her side, her head tipped to one side. Her brow was furrowed in a slight frown as her golden state focused on the new judge to listen.
//rushed! -
a gentle smile played the young cats lips, "thank you, sir." She dipped her head politely, a sense of pride building in her chest.
//mobile, rushed. -
the attorney was rather hesitant as she approached darcy's home, the lean muscles of her legs stiffened and her pace slowed as she anticipated what might lay further ahead - the still, lifeless body of the judge. beth was well aware of darcy's nearing departure, as cancer was a vicious sickness. falling in beside the others, the petite cat's golden stare appeared to darken in colour. the court's precious leader lay peacefully on her bed, a note written at her side. "what does it say?" Bethan asked, tipping her head to one side. -
the young cat was almost immediately intrigued by the floral shop. her eyes were lit with interest. she was rather fond of flowers, all sorts of flowers; they all came in different shapes and sizes, colours, and were all a rather pretty addition to her home. not to mention they always left a pleasant scent. letting her watch wander the store, she came across a colourful bunch of pansies -- they would look excellent planted by her window. "can I get these?" Bethan asked, blinking. -
bethan was definitely someone who enjoyed the outdoors. she wasn't the type to sit down at a computer, or in front of the tv, just to waste her precious life away. nope, she wasn't gonna be doin' that anytime soon. Bethan certainly got all her kicks being out wandering town or relaxing at the beach during the hot summer months.
wavy from the moisture and salt of the ocean -- her hair was a dark brown in colour, rich with natural highlights when the sun beamed down. on top of her head she wore sunglasses; ombre-brown aviators. the seventeen-year-old's kin was an olive colour. not pale, not bronze, but a shade in the middle of the two. pulling her shades down from her head, she rested them over the bridge of her nose and laid back on her beach-mat, observing the world around her. -
What the hell? What kind of question was that. the young tabby shuddered, she really wasn't interested the judge's biggest turn-on's. they would probably be something really weird that would burn anyone's ears if they gained the knowledge of horrorzo's sexual pleasures and fantasies, anyway. to break the awkwardness building up in her head, beth decided to ask one of those simple, friendly questions. "Horrorzo!" she called, "do you have a favorite memory?" -
with the bear laying limp and lifeless, bethan swiftly made her way over to the others. a sharp gasp escaped her lips to see horrorzo's bloodied face. "good god, zo! did you lose an eye?" the clerk exclaimed with her brow furrowed with concern, he looked pretty awful. "eco, elizabeth! I think we might need your medical skills." -
welcome back.
a little off topic, i know. but should we try and start building some alliances? -
with a gathering crowd, Bethan was certainly drawn by all the commotion. "what is it? what's going on? what happened?" the questions came spilling out of her mouth as she pushed through to see the collapsed morph. at first, she might've thought he might have just fallen asleep on the spot. but when she realize his flanks failed to rise and fall, beth knew he wasn't breathing. oh no, not another death. fuelled by concern and panic, she prodded the bailiff with a heavy forepaw. "morph, morpheus!" the clerk snapped into his ears. good lord, what happened?
