She was exhausted from the training group. All the apprentices were falling behind in their training, so the temporary deputy had said, and as such, they would be practicing their skills before an assessment. Naturally, Paintedleaf had been put in charge of the group; and she'd been fiercely determined to work them all to the bone. When they hadn't been climbing and jumping the trees, they'd been fighting one another in paw-to-paw combat. It'd been strenuous work, but in the end, they'd all been rewarded. By having to go for a hunt. Now, the sun shone above the sky and the apprentice felt as though she'd die.
Dropping her freshkill on the pile, she barely heard Risingstar, but followed Sedgepaw, Sorrelpaw, and Morningpaw all the same. The other apprentices were already gathering on the far side of camp, next to their den, where they always met when a clan meeting was in progress. Yawning, she sat down with a soft plop next to Morningpaw, rolling her eyes at the other apprentice's giggle. "Can it, we're supposed to be listening to Risingstar." She hissed grumpily, lightly swiping at her friend.

Morningpaw -- temping for bigby
[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 286px; height: 96px; overflow: hidden; padding: 14px 8px 14px 8px; text-align: left; font: 11px/15px corbel; color: lightgray][fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 295px; height: 114px; overflow: auto; margin: -15px 0px 0px -14px]Skipping merrily, the shapely red tabby whisked into the camp before Lynxpaw. She lay her freshkill on the pile happily, merrily taking the time to stretch out her tight muscles. They'd been training all morning, and now were home for some good old fashioned clan meeting. Nothing could dampen Morningpaw's mood right now. As she trotted after Sedgepaw, she playfully nipped at his tail, resulting in a natural reaction of a hiss. Giggling, she sat down and waited for Lynxpaw.
As the other apprentice practically dragged herself over and flopped down, Morningpaw giggled. Which resorted in an irritated hiss from her friend. This of course, only made Morningpaw want to giggle again. She was already Paintedleaf's apprentice, so she was in-tune for this sort of training; she wished she could say the same about the other apprentices. They all looked so tired. The red apprentice looked towards her older sisters, Moonfrost and Forgottensky, smiling a little at the thought of Moonfrost's kittens. Then a thought hit her, if Moonfrost was going to be in the nursery soon; then wouldn't someone else need to mentor Sorrelpaw?[/fancypost][/fancypost]
