"If I can, a way to get the water flowing." she mewed as they made their way through the final cornstalk.

"What is it like being in a Clan?" Abyss mewed curiously.
-
"Sometimes, not being too reliant on other cats is good. You learn who to trust and who not to, and can fend for yourself." she mewed. "To the honest, I can see why some cats leave. You've got to look beyond the borders someday, right?"
-
"Rosie?" she mewed curiously.
-
Abyss's eyes darkened with sadness. "I made a promise to my five littermates. And I failed them..."
-
Abyss didn't respond, instead sprinting ahead and stopping in front of a frothing river. Without second thoughts, she dived in and paddled her paws easily to the other side.
-
She sighed. "Don't like water?" she mewed.
-
"This is the only way across.." she mewed sullenly. "Now what?"
-
(yeah, it is. sorry...)
-
She dived in with ease, and reached the other side within a minute or so. "I rather enjoyed that, but we should keep moving." Abyss mewed as she bounded through the undergrowth on the bank and vanished,
-
She stopped, hissing, and turned back around. She followed his scent and ended up in a small clearing. "Tornado?" she mewed angrily. "This is fox territory, and wherever you are we need to leave."
-
"Yes, fox territory...speaking of which, it's almost dark, so we need to run." Abyss mewed.
She hared off into the undergrowth again as fast as she could possibly go.
-
She slid to a halt in front of a thunderpath.
-
"Tornado, get back!" she yowled. "Don't you know what this is?"
-
She couldn't speak, her eyes widening in terror.
-
Abyss hissed with frustration. "Unless you want to possibly die, I think we should stay away from Thunderpaths." she mewed angrily as she continued walking.
-
"A thunder-path is what those monsters run along. Nobody except for them likes walking on it, because most of the crossing cats, like us, die by getting crushed under their paws." she mewed.
-
"Is that what they are called where you come from?" she mewed curiously.
(Sorry for long inacitivity...I was in Central America for a community service thing. How is/was Texas?)
