Flicker lands painfully on three paws, the fourth snapping with a loud crack underneath him awkwardly. Along with the scratches from the other two cats on his flank, his body is flooded with pain.

He holds onto the finch in his mouth, and tries aim a large paw into Summerpaw's eye, claws unsheathed.

He doesn't look back to see if he landed the blow or not.

He then bounds away as best he can, diving into a hole that was presumed to be a rabbit den by everyone who looked at it. Indeed it was and still is, but Flicker can't climb up to his tree-nest with a snapped paw and a bird.

    (they'll meet again, I'd think?)

Hearing their voices begin to fade away, Flicker hauled himself out of the den after eating his catch. His paw was bleeding more now, and he began to feel dizzy.

Aware that he couldn't move past this point, he collapsed in the center of the clearing and didn't move.

    (no, he's not dead.)

Shade realised that an attack that way wouldn't work, so she leaped back through the trees and re-mud caked her pelt, tail + tail tip included.

She saw that the cat was only expecting a front attack, and that the cat didn't consider any other attack direction.

Shade fastened her thorn-like claws into the bark of an oak tree, which had a branch that was hanging over the stranger's head. She started to creep along the branch, still unnoticed. With all the mud, she looked like a piece of bark.

Shade waits for the loner to move slightly leftwards. If the loner didn't move, Shade will have to go to the end of the wobbly branch and jump from there, possibly giving away her prescence with the shaking of the leaves.

    Abyss walked along the cornfields.

Her paws were dusty, and she was tired, but she loved this place. It felt like home, after the mountain-den she had so painfully left behind her.

OOC: Since we're basically starting over, should we act like they've never met?

Hearing another cat, she yowled in response.

(Awesome! I love that song too :D)

"I think the question is, who are you?" Abyss mewed. She slid out from the corn and leaped, landing in front of the other cat.

A moment's pause went by. "I'm Abyss." she mewed reluctantly after a few moments. Her yellow eyes showed a flicker of wariness as she looked at the other cat.

"So...where do you come from?" she mewed awkwardly. "I myself am from the gorge near here, and I am temporarily here while I am on a journey."

Abyss looks somewhat suprised. "The gorge river has dried, and all the hunters and prey alike must leave there or starve. That is why I come this way as well."

"Then we should start as soon as we can. Your Clan needs you back at some point, after all." she mewed as she bounded ahead into the corn.
