It was obvious that he planned to bolt. Raising from his seat himself, the ginger stood to confront him, this time in a much less violent way. Pale, bruised arms crossed over his chest without a wince, despite the pain, and green eyes turned stern and sharp.
"Not long at all. But it doesn't matter, since you have to be here for a while longer anyways," Devon warned, taking note of how the other boy's muscles twitched with the desire to run away. "Don't think I don't know that look. You sit your *ss back down on that bed and stay there." Strong but slim arms remained crossed, and Devon squared his shoulders to stand up straighter. "They only let me get away with that sh*t. You wanna know why? They don't care about me. I'm just a trouble maker. They can pretend they didn't know. They ignore it. But you? No, they'd notice you right off the bat. That, and you're so unstable and so unused to pain that you would be easy to stop anyways. You wouldn't make it far," Devon commented, raising a red eyebrow skeptically.
"Besides, you need rest." These words were accompanied by a sigh, as though Devon was weary as well. The ginger glanced at the crowded office, eyes flicking back to the other boy in understanding. "You know, if you want to get away from this chaos, go hide in the nurse's bathroom for a bit. They they won't have to hunt you down and send you to a hospital. Don't think they won't." Devon shook his head. "You just can't leave the room. And if you try, I'll have to stop you. And honestly, I've had enough for today."[/fancypost]
