Garnet realized she was staring at Jack and so she reverted her eyes to Summer. The young gem looked scared, but all of a sudden her face changed into a look of courage. Garnet watched as she stept forward in front of her two friends or family.
"Stop! If they wanted to kill me they would've when I was asleep, but I'm alive! See?!" Summer said pointing to herself. She looked up at them, and realized she's never seen them before on home world, or anywhere.
"Pearl we have no need to fight!" Said Garnet lowering her fists, and reverted them back to normal.
Summer ran in front of Jack. "Jack Stop!!" She yelled summing a ball of light. "I dont want to have to hurt you!" She said with tears in her eyes.
Garnet looked at Pearl with a stern look. "These gems seem to trust him, and if he's like the other cursed gems they would be dead." She said flatly.
"I'm sorry Jack! I just didn't want anyone to get hurt or worse die!" Summer yelled after him as she diminished the light at will. She then ran up and hugged Kyrie. "I'm sorry I ran off! I just didn't want to cause anyone trouble, so I left." She said solemnly.
Summer smiled as she gat rid of the large light sphere around the other gems.
"Thank you. We are the Crystal Gems protectors of Earth." Said Garnet.
"We normally tend to stay on this side of Beach City, so most humans don't interfere or get scared." Replied Garnet.
Summer made a small chair of dim light, and sat down on it.
"What do you mean?" Said Garnet calmly.
"Steven go inside!" Said Garnet to the boy around summers age. Garnet watched as he walked up the stairs into the house. "Yes I am a fusion of Ruby and Saphire, but we prefer to be one." She said flatly.
"Rose had a child with a human, and Steven is that child. Unfortunately Rose isn't alive anymore." Garnet said with a sad tone.
Summer didn't quite know who Rose was, but by the way the crystal gems talked about her she was important.
"Is as well" Garnet said as she and the other Crystal Gems headed back to their home.
"Well this has been an eventful morning!" Summer said trying to be optimistic.
"O-ok... But only then! I don't like hurting my friends!" Summer said as she walked back to Kyrie's house.
"Yea... Unfortunately lights what I do best." Summer said half jokingly. Before jumping up the steps to the house.
"And I'm sorry for blinding you.... twice, and every time in the future!" Summer yelled as she ran around trying to find Jack. She found him lying on the couch with wrapper after wrapper of cookie cats beside him. "Hey!" She said sitting next to the couch.
"You can do that!!!!" Yelled Summer excitedly! "That's Flipping Awesome!" She yelled once again.
"Yeah, but you get unlimited stuff of whatever you want! That's amazing!" Summer said grabbing a cookie cat for herself.
Summer took a few bites of her cookie cat and smiled. "These are really good! Why'd they stop selling them?" She asked taking another bite.
"Who that?" Summer questioned. Standing up and throwing away her cookie cat wrapper.
Summer gave a small nod before she sat down on the floor once again.
"Sure what game?" Summer replied.
