Zeyd cocked her head at Luka's strange behavior before darting into the forest after Ash and the others. She'd think about it later, right now her focus needed to be on prey. sending a backwards glance at Less, Zeyd trotted into the forest with all senses on high alert.

(( srry guys, i havent posted. my school schedule is just really busy so ill try to do better
Ash and Jack watched the whole episode with mild amusement. "Rookies." Ash snorted, "If they knew what they were doing that wouldn't have happened." He said. Jack nodded in agreement, "And if they'd have enough sense to know that a loose horse is likely to get injured, they wouldn't be entering the horses in a race so soon." He added, striding to Red's stall where he waited impatiently to be exercised. "Put Chaos on the hot walker and come tack Red up. I don't know how you like your stirrups." Jack said, patting the big chestnut stallion on his neck. Ash complied and helped with Red. Once they were finished the pair took Red to the track with Chaos in tow, fully cooled down and just enjoying the walk. "Ok, warm him up and come back. Ill give you the next task afterwards." Jack said to Ash who strapped his helmet on.
-
Terra gave the silent cue for a bit of speed and Calamity broke into an even canter on the correct lead. They circled twice and then began to jump. Terra made exercise routines in her mind and preformed them easily, each jump coming out smoother than the last.
Calamity never tired and never made a mistake. of course, that was only because the height was familiar and commonly practiced. Her ears pricked with interest and delight as she and Terra moved together as one.

Jack and Kat silently peered down at the shack with curious expression's. wordlessly they leapt onto the roof of the shack and ducked into a roll. Their dark clothes melted into the fading sunlight and only the gleam of weapons could give away their location. Kat's ears perked, the girl from earlier was below them(Ava), trying to keep quiet. she dropped down to the floor and gave the girl a lazy grin, leaving Jack behind with no explanation. Jack nearly growled with frustration and stayed on the roof. His sister was fully capable of taking care of her self. voices murmured inside and he caught a hint of conversation, enough to get a gist of what was being said inside.
-
"Yeah." Ash sighed. "Lets go, you want that trail ride?" he asked her, standing up to brush imaginary dust off his pants. "If we wait any longer we'll be riding in the dark."
-
Wolfe sped up to the front of the pack, her long legs worked overtime and her powerful lungs gulped in air. Her heart didnt miss a beat and the wind rushed to her ears. mane streaming and tail flowing, Wolfe sprinted towards the lake, adrenaline coursing through her veins.
-
Red tensed at the bit and was barely restrained by Ash's grip. as they rounded the final bend, he pulled Red to a halt. The young stallion snorted in frustration and toyed with the bit, its cool temperature flooding his mouth. "Okay. lets do wind sprints. sprint the straight away and jog the bend." Jack said, leaning across the railing with Chaos beside him. Ash nodded and clucked the horse to a starting point. Jack gave his signal and Red was off. Ash gave Red a bit more rein, allowing him to stretch out and lengthen his stride. The horse got his rhythm and finished off nicely, jogging the curve. Once they were finished with the session, Ash stripped off his helmet to reveal sweat soaked hair and Red's own pelt held a sheen of sweat. oblivious to his exhausted appearance the chestnut stallion gazed around him with a keen eye and his head held high.

Zeyd crouched in silence, her ears pricked towards the rabbit in front of her. She killed it quickly, its blood glistening on her muzzle. The trees fractured the moonlight, casting eerie shadows and a chilling wind sent prickles across her spine. But...that couldn't be wind, the trees weren't moving. suddenly aware of a looming danger zeyd left the rabbit and sprinted back to the clearing. adrenaline rushed through her veins and blood pounded in her ears. the forest no longer seemed like a safe haven, but rather a claustrophobic trap. Zeyd's muscles worked overtime, her long legs racing over the forest floor at breakneck speed and her powerful lungs gulped in air. her fur stood on end and a cold sensation crept up the back of her neck. Zeyd's amber eyes glowed and she burst into the clearing, her muscles tense and coiled tight as a spring.
-
Ash raised his face to the sky and let raindrops pelt his face. after a few moments Jack began walking to the wash rack with Chaos following and Ash trailed behind with Red in tow.
-
Zeyd stared at the she wolf, a blank expression in her eyes and her lungs heaving. "I dont know. something is wrong, something is so horribly wrong." she gasped, out of breath. she looked at her paws, then up again. "I think Seryth was involved in something." Zeyd whispered.
Seryth gazed at the forest one last time. without a word he turned away from it and bowed to his master. at his command the wolves streamed towards the forest, black fangs gleaming and their pelts melting into shadows. the howls and battle cry's could be heard for miles, terrifying their prey before any blood was even spilled.
((these plot ideas/prompts ok with everyone?
-
Jack reached the wash racks first and let out a yelp of surprise when he saw the girl, Caitlyn, unconscious and sprawled on the ground. "Ash! Get over here!" he yelled, gently pushing the silver horse back a few paces. Chaos skittered to the side and as Ash came skidding to a halt, took the lead from Jack. "She breathing?" He asked calmly. "I think so." Jack replied, checking her pulse,"She should be alright." he said, scooping her up in his arms. Ash approached Silver, gently murmuring kind words to him and stroking his neck. Chaos and Red were surprisingly well behaved and put up little fuss as Ash took Silver's lead to walk with all three horses.
-
"Woah, easy there. nothing to get so worked up about, see?" Ash patiently let Silver work out his nerves and then began leading him again. Jack carried Caitlyn and tried to figure out where Amy was. He finally found her in the doorway of a barn.
-
Jack set Caitlyn down on the ground. "Not sure. we didn't see it happen...but i wouldn't blame the horse, he's good at heart." He said, running a hand through his hair. Ash nudged Silver forward gently and led him into the barn.

((hey guys, srry for such the late posts on my part
Zeyd breathed in once. twice. she prowled the edge of the clearing, all her fear suddenly gone. she knew Seryth was behind this, she knew he was the one who had betrayed her...again. a snarl formed in Zeyd's throat and her wicked long canines flashed menacingly. she would kill every threat, turn every predator into prey; because she was nothing else mattered, not when she was here. and not when she was youre worst nightmare. Zeyd had nothing to lose. and if she were to go down fighting...so be it. as long as everyone else got away safely. Then the howls came closer, and Zeyd turned her jaws towards her future, and fate.
-
Ash arched an eyebrow at her pace but said nothing. instead opting to walk down the stairs. once they were out Ash saw his sister directing a rider. Cora nodded in the direction of a new trailer and Ash immediately got the message. he was supposed to talk to her. "Give me a sec." He said to Andrea before trotting towards the new girl and her horse.
-
((srry, yeah was going to get to that and then lost my train of thought. thx for the reminder
"Do you have any bandages? and we should probably get her to a med ward." He said briskly, motioning for Ash to take care of the horses. Ash complied and led the three to the pasture where the sun was currently peeking out of the clouds.
-
Ash flashed a smile at Silver's obvious delight and let him loose in the pasture, turning his attention to Red and Chaos.

Finished!

((Sure, it could be Seryth or one of the shadow wolves which btw are about to launch an attack. Happy surviving! ;) ))
Zeyd caught a glimpse of the first wolf before it came into the open. With lightning speed she brought it down swiftly. The wolf clawed at her pelt and let out a choking sound as she saw the light slowly die in its eyes and the body went limp. Zeyd let go of the body and snarled into the night. She was lucky to have caught it by surprise, next time she wouldn't be so lucky. Dark blood stained her muzzle and glistened in moonlight and the others stood bravely beside her.
Seryth gave the last orders before turning to face the howling woods yet again. A part of him still couldn't believe he'd actually been able to betray her again. And a part of him knew that she, and those other wolves with her, would give the legions of shadow wolves a run for their money.
