Skystripes watched over the camp as the party of cats who had gone after dog returned. Some were injured, including Jaystar, but the leader went straight to his den instead of going to have his wound treated. The deputy frowned. After making sure that everyone else in the camp was being attended to, Skystripes cast her attention back to Jaystar's den and saw that Ashfur and Littlemoon were padding over there now. She followed them, standing at the edge of the den as Littlemoon examined their leader's wounds. "Will he be alright?" she asked quietly to Ashfur.

Darktail chuckled and shook his head as he watched the apprentices rush off towards the freshkill pile. He was about to follow them when he caught sight of Cinderleaf in the corner of his eye. "Hello, Cinderleaf," he said with a smile, turning around to face her.

Meanwhile, Skystripes looked on with worry as Jaystar sat up. She felt concerned for the leader. It was important that he kept us his strength. "Are you... Are you okay?" she asked.

Darktail nodded as he listened to Cinderleaf's words. "Yeah, Tigerpaw sure does seem eager! If it was me... Well, let's just say that swimming is not my favourite activity. What about you, though? Do you enjoy going the water?"

"Okay," Skystripes replied to Jaystar. "Any ideas on how we will achieve that? You're right, of course. The last thing we want is a dangerous dog on the loose around camp, especially since we have many apprentices at the moment." She still felt worried for the leader and wondered whether she should just leave him alone so that he could sleep.

"I haven't eaten all day," said Darktail to Cinderleaf. "I've been too busy worrying about the dog to think about eating." The tom started walking over to the freshkill pile, waiting for Cinderleaf to follow him.

OOC: @DragonNadder- I always loose track of my characters too! I just start them off somewhere else :)

Darktail nodded while Cinderleaf talked about a previous incident with a dog. He hoped that dogs wouldn't cause them too much trouble whilst they were living on the island. Seeing that Cinderleaf had already chosen her food, he said, "Mm, a mouse seems like a good choice right now." Darktail looked over the pile of food before selecting his own mouse to eat. "Life is normally peaceful on the island though, isn't it?"

Darktail joined Cinderleaf in the grassy area. He sighed with contentment, finishing up his meal and enjoying the relative peace of Clan life.

Meanwhile, Skystripes had left Jaystar alone in his den so that their leader could rest and recuperate. She wandered around the area, greeting other cats and looking for someone to talk to. "Hey Lakeshine," she nodded as she passed the other cat. Then Skystripes stood looking at the apprentices with a large smile on her face. When she saw the apprentice medicine cat, she said, "Hello, Leafpaw. Do you need any help?"

"Okay," said Skystripes to Leafpaw. "I can come with you if you'd like. Lead the way!" The deputy smiled at the apprentice encouragingly.

Skystripes hoped that Jaystar wouldn't mind if she accompanied Leafpaw into the forest. Quickly, she ran over to where Cinderleaf and Darktail were sitting. "I'm sorry," she said, smiling at the two cats knowingly, "I don't want to interrupt your conversation, but I'm just going to accompany Leafpaw so he can retrieve some catmint. We should be quick, but please let Jaystar know where I am if he is looking for me."

Seeing Darktail nod, Skystripes smiled once more at the two cats and ran back to Leafpaw. "Sorry about the delay," she remarked. "As I was saying, feel free to lead the way, Leafpaw!"

Skystripes followed Leafpaw into the forest. She kept her eyes open and her mind focused in case they ran into any trouble. Hopefully the journey would run smoothly and they would be able to return to the camp with some fresh catmint.

Darktail nodded at Cinderleaf. "It's probably wise since some cats will still be shaken up due to the dog incident. I'm glad that it's all blown over now and that no cats were seriously hurt." Darktail fondly remembered being young and feeling as carefree as most of the apprentices probably felt at this very moment. To them, Jaystar would definitely seem over-protective. However, he was a good leader and the Clan was lucky to have him in charge.

IC - "Alright," said Skystripes to Leafpaw. "Let's look around a little more and see if we can find any more clues. Then we should probably go back to camp before the others start worrying about us."

OOC - Eagle , do you have any idea as to what you want to have destroyed the catmint, and are they going to fins out what it is or will it stay a mystery? I don't want to say anything that will go against the story with your character Leafpaw :)

Username: Ilinga (will create a subaccount if accepted)
Have you read the history?: Yeah, the extended version. It's pretty complicated and quite traumatic, isn't it? But I guess that makes for an interesting character.
Will you keep/pass on the Cor Leonis name?: Sure thing :)
Characters Current Name: Freekit Cor Leonis
Characters Future Name: Freepaw / Freefall Cor Leonis
Characters Clan: Loner > Riverclan > Church (eventually)

Characters Personality: Freekit is headstrong and stubborn. For the most part, he is proud and arrogant because he has been used to getting his own way. Lately, however, Freekit has been slowly developing a streak of humility and graciousness. In the future, he will become more patient and respectful, but he will always be headstrong and fierce.
Underneath his unfriendly facade, Freekit is actually very lonely and insecure. He still grieves over the loss of his mother and his brothers, and he blames himself for not being strong enough to save them - especially Lotuskit. Freekit knows that he should have stayed with his brother instead of wandering off. It is very rare for Freekit to fully trust anybody, but when he does learn to make real friends, they are his friends for life. He is a very loyal cat.

Characters Looks: Freekit is a grey marbled tabby with turquoise eyes. He is slightly big for his age and has a strong, muscular body. Freekit has a prominent scar on his left shoulder from when he was attacked by a creature shortly after being separated from Lotuskit.

Characters History: It's all changeable if you think it doesn't fit in with the history of Lotuskit, and it's sort of a work in progress, but here is what I have so far. The morning that Freekit and Lotuskit were separated, Freekit had woken up early and decided to go out hunting. He hadn't bothered to wake up his brother because he was so confident in his own abilities. However, he had only managed to walk a few steps away from the warren when he was pounced on by a large creature (maybe a fox, or do you think that this is too similar to Antoniokit?). He was quickly knocked unconscious. When he awoke several hours later, he found himself in the company of a much older cat named Aspen. Aspen was a loner who lived in the area and had seen the creature attacking Freekit. Aspen took pity on the kit and rescued him from the creature and took the kit into his nearby den. When Freekit woke up, he wanted to return and look for his brother Lotuskit, but Aspen told him that his brother would probably already be dead and that there was no point looking. Freekit was too weak to argue with the older cat.
Freekit lived with Aspen for a while whilst he recovered his strength. When he felt that he was able to move again, he decided to go look for the Clan that his mother had told him about. Aspen decided to accompany him in order to protect him, because he was still a young kit. This frustrated Fallenkit, because he was still sure of his own abilities and lacked any real humility. He didn't know where his mother's Clan was situated or even what it was called, so he wandered around for a while with Aspen, asking various Clans if they had known his mother, Rainsong. Eventually, someone had told him how to travel to Riverclan.
Currently, Freekit and Aspen are at the border of Riverclan. The pair will say their goodbyes and Freekit will enter the Clan territory. He will ask the Clan if anyone knows anything about his mother, Rainsong, or if they know what happened to his brother, Lotuskit. Secretly, Freekit hopes that his brother is still alive.

Would you like to have a Character Bond?: Yeah, that'd be awesome!
Would you like them to meet?: Absolutely!

Roleplay Sample: It ended up being longer than expected. In fact, this whole form is really long. I hope that you enjoy it anyway.

Freekit stood at the border of Riverclan. This was it. Once he stepped into the Clan's territory, he would hopefully find out some more about his mother, and maybe even the fate of his lost brother, Lotuskit.

The young marbled tom forced himself to take a deep breath. He reminded himself that he was in control - that he had to be in control. He had to remain cool, calm and focused. Mistakes happened when he let his emotions show. He'd learnt through the death of his mother and his brothers that no show of emotion would change a situation. They were all long dead, except maybe Lotuskit. Freekit felt his tail flick involuntary. He couldn't allow himself to think about his brother, not now, not when he was so close to entering their mother's home.

Freekit turned to the older cat who was standing beside him. "Are you sure you don't want to accompany me into the Clan's territory?" asked the young tom.

The older cat chuckled deeply, "No, kit. I keep to myself. It's better that way so as not to be come attached. Attachment only leads to heartache, you remember that, okay?"

    "Aspen!" growled Freekit.

"Don't pretend that you don't agree," said Aspen. "I found you as a young kit, alone in the forest, half dead and about to be killed. We've spent days looking for your dead mother's family. Don't tell me that you haven't lost people you cared about."

Freekit hissed at Aspen. The older cat's words hurt him deeply, but as usual, he was right. It was better not become attached. To Freekit, life seemed unfair and brief. He had lost people that he cared about. It took all of his courage and strength just to continue living - but here he was, alive, health and strong, about to find out some information about his mother's Clan. Freekit pushed Aspen's words to the side of his mind.

"So long, kit," said Aspen after a moment's silence. "It was nice knowing you."

The young tom nodded in farewell. "Goodbye, Aspen. Thank you for saving my life. I will always be indebted to you."

The loner gave Freekit one of his rare smiles, and turned to leave. Freekit was surprised that he felt no loss, but he supposed that he must have done his best to not become too attached. He'd have to keep up his guard as he entered Riverclan. Even if he met someone who had known his mother, he must force himself not to become attached. Attachment was never a good thing.

Nervously, Freekit stepped into the Clan's borders. He waited a minute, but heard no sound. Looking back over his shoulder, he realised that Aspen had vanished from sight. Even though he couldn't see the cat, he was willing to wager that the loner was hidden somewhere amongst the foliage, waiting to see if Freekit would be accepted into the Clan. "Don't get too attached," muttered Freekit under his breath. Aspen's words seemed almost hypocritical considering the fact that the loner had followed him around for the past few days under the pretense of "protecting him."

Turning back to face the territory of Riverclan, Freekit called out, "Hello? My name is Freekit Cor Leonis. I believe that my mother may have come from this Clan. Is anybody there?"

    CHARTER ONE: The Beginnings

Rainsong left Rivertribe in shame when she discovered that she was pregnant as she did not know who the father of her kits was. Alone, she gave birth to four sons, Antoniokit, Freekit, Chalkkit and Lotuskit. Antonio and Free were strong and stubborn, while Chalk and Lotus were weaker but kind hearted.

After three moons, Rainsong became sick and eventually died, leaving her four kits all alone in the world. Antonio was killed by a fox due to his arrogance and Chalk died soon after as he was weak.

One morning, Freekit had woken up early and decided to go out hunting. He hadn't bothered to wake up his remaining brother Lotuskit because he was so confident in his own abilities.
