[hr]Im flying! the fledgling thought happily, looking around at the sunrise lit cloud bank he was sailing through. The now Adult griffon flapped his powerful wings, relishing in the air passing through his feathers. His golden red eyes locked onto the castle below, and after a moment, he realized he was flying over Eden territory. but....where was everyone? Shouldn't there be patrols, people walking about, that sort of thing?However the next gust of wind blew away all his worry, aswell as lifting him up over the cloudbank and into the golden sky. A bright light was glowing inside the cloudbank, just next to the sun that was peeking out of the curve of the planet. With a tilt of his head, the griffon turned, flying towards the light, Before a large dragon burst from the clouds. The shining thing was drenched in blood, with golden scales. A shift in the wind picked up the scents off the bloody thing. Lucifer, Cas, Averice, Ratvision, Claudia, and a whole cast of his clanmates. Patches of fur and feathers and scales littered the massive beast's jaws."Ah. The little golden one. Wiped from grace by your parentage. Oh but don't worry. Your powers will be useful....to me!" The dragon rasped, before diving at him with his mouth wide.
Jace woke up with a yelp, Sitting in a pile of Grey feathers and light grey fur. He shook his head, looking back down at his natural tawny pelt. "Oh thank goodness." the kit breathed, poking one of the feathers with a claw. A claw that was glowing faintly. "What..." The griffon tilted his head, pecking his claw, which erupted in a bright yellow-gold light, shining directly in the chicks eyes. "OW!" The chick screeched, shutting his eyes to the not-so-dark-now room. Tears streamed from the chicks eyes as he rubbed them with the back of his other paw. With a sniff, he opened his eyes to see his tears glowing a faint yellow gold as well. "What is HAPPENING to me???" The child cried, leaping out of his bed and racing out of his room. Desperate to outrun whatever whas happening to him, he ran, sliding through the halls of the castle blind. Durring his panic, he ended up skidding into a wall, smashing his wing between him and the wall. With a cry, he tried unsuccessfully to move his wing, before collapsing into a faintly glowing pile of feathers, fur and tears.[/fancypost]
