Soon enough, she spotted a bird, but she wrinkled her snout and purposefully let it go. Ew, no. She was kinda half bird, so that would just be gross. Though, her large ears pricked and her mouth watered as she caught sight of a smaller, younger buck, and her pupils shrank as her canine instincts kicked in. With a growl, she launched herself at the buck, digging her back claws into its sides and tearing her front talons into it's throat. As the buck collapsed, she briefly bent her head over the fallen prey, mumbling her thanks for the food to whoever was listening. Snapping back to attention, she carefully gripped the deer's neck in her jaws and started to drag it away.

Why? Well, she had abandoned most of her belongings there, in the tattered remains of her tent squeezed in the shelter of the ruins.
The hybrid trudged through the thick snow, squeezing her eyes half shut against the bitter wind that threw itself in her face, teeth gritted and scarf pulled up over her face. A thin blanket was thrown over her wings and back, as she had started to molt a few days ago (sadly), and now she was freezing cold with her new feathers still growing in. She finally breached the top of the hill, and was thrown back down as a screeching wind blasted her off the top. Yelping, the Vlieghund pinwheeled half down the slope, snow covering her patched pelt. Now, positively soaked, she finally teleported up to the top and in the shelter of the broken and burned house.
With her head spinning slightly from the power usage, she stumbled around into the snow-covered flat space that used to be the main room of her house. But the thing that saddened her more than the ruins was the frozen, dry, and rattling plants that speckled the yard space. Sorrow, inexplicably, filled her chest as she stumbled over, taking a wilted and browned flower in her talons and watching it crumble to dust. Noel shook her talons off, and got back up, wiping away a few childish tears that had pricked her eyes. They were plants, for the gods sakes. Why was she getting so emotional over them?
