[color=black][size=7pt]Akisuka woke slowly, stretching out and snuggling back under the blankets. Despite popular beliefs, she was not actually a morning person. After a couple moments, she opened her eyes, rubbing them in a futile attempt to wake herself up. She looked towards Whistle, who had apparently woken up by now. She sat up, trying to get a better look at what the other girl was doing. "What's going on?"

Remembering Whistle's jacket, she unzipped it, shrugging it off now that it was a bit warmer. She'd probably still be a little cold, but she could live with that. Whistle probably needed it, anyways. Unsure of what to do with it, she set it on the edge of the bed. She couldn't really toss it to her, since the Dane's back was turned.[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]Izan waved, confused by the sudden departure. He shrugged to himself, pulling a granola bar out. He had one or two other food items in there, but it was probably best if he conserved his food as much as possible. He unwrapped the bar, taking quick bites. He wasn't sure whether or not he should save some for Alvise, but he decided against it. He and Hikari probably had food.

Akisuka nodded, sliding off of the bed and grabbing her pack. "Is there a place in mind?" She asked, a little distracted by the fact that her pack seemed a little heavier than usual. She shrugged to herself, deciding that she was imagining it, and moved to grab her weeder from the desk. She couldn't believe she'd only gotten it yesterday - it seemed like years ago.

She relaxed as she realized what was going on, although she didn't appreciate the tiny claws poking at her skin. She turned towards Unikitty, moving slowly so that she didn't dislodge the small creature. "So, what about your family?" She asked, noticing that the other girl had stayed quiet during the conversation.[/fancypost]

She didn't have any other weapons, and she hadn't unpacked her bag. "And when do we leave?" She was a little conflicted on that point - she wanted to stay here, where it was safe for the moment, but she also wanted to be on the move.[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]Elodie bit her lip. Unikitty was always so cheerful, too - you couldn't tell she was an orphan just by talking to her. She started to respond, but it seemed everyone else around her had moved past it, so she did too. "I'll help," she said, responding to Yukki. She was glad she finally had something to do - just sitting around had gotten kinda boring.

[color=black][size=7pt]Hero, who sat by where Luffy had come back, peered into the bucket. He wondered if the guy was joking, or if he seriously hadn't noticed. "Are you absolutely [i]sure you have the water?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he gestured at the makeshift bucket.

Elodie watched Gnar bring back sticks as kindling. Well, at least he tried... She thought, noticing that he had only brought back a few. "Good job, Gnar."[/fancypost]

She wasn't exactly sure where everyone else was, but she could figure that bit out later. At least she'd be able to kill some time, searching for the others. He stiffened, letting out a small startled noise as something hooked tiny claws into the back of his shirt and scrambled upwards. He relaxed after a few seconds, embarrassed of his fear as he realized it was the small creature was the one he had seen Pyro Jack playing with.[/fancypost]

He hadn't meant to snap at the thing, but his survival kind of depended on the small, video game-like device he always carried with him. "I think it's kinda the fault of physics, you know?" He opened the COMP, making sure it had no scratches or cracks. Everything seemed to be in working order, so he took the chance to type out another email to his friends before shutting it and sliding it back into his pocket, shifting slightly so that it couldn't easily be grabbed.[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]"It's, uh..." Hero wasn't exactly sure how to explain physics to someone who had never heard of it. "Like... Like gravity, you know?" He picked up the bucket as an example. "And a liquid can't be held if its container has gaps, because it'll just drip out." He gestured at the sticks.

Elodie looked down at Gnar, surprised as he came scurrying back. She looked over to where Luffy and one of the newcomers were talking - had they done something to scare the small creature off?[/fancypost]

Elodie looked at Unikitty, hearing her sigh. "Are you alright?" She questioned, looking worried. The other girl looked uncharacteristically sad.

[color=black][size=7pt]"I don't really have anything to patch up those holes or anything, I don't think..." Hero said, standing up. Then, remembering his bag, he opened it up and started to rummage around inside it. He wasn't sure if there'd be anything useful in there, but this was a similar situation to the lockdown, minus the rioting and the demon attacks.

After about a minute or two of searching, he managed to find a plastic water bottle. They'd probably have to run back and forth a lot to get enough water for everyone, but it was a start. "Do you have anything to purify the water with?"

Elodie watched Unikitty, concerned, but decided not to push it. It was clear that the other girl didn't want to talk about whatever it was, and she wasn't sure how to help. She hoped that whatever Unikitty was feeling, she'd be able to resolve it soon enough.[/fancypost]

She had seen him last - she had a vague idea of where he was. After a minute or two of searching, she managed to find him. He had his back to her, looking out of a window.

"Seth?" She called out, standing by the door. "We're gonna be heading out soon, so you should probably pack up." She paused, waiting for his answer.[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]It was honestly a wonder that this guy wasn't dead yet. "Lead the way," Hero said, wondering if they would have to boil the water later. He doubted that a pure water source could be found here. He looked back at the camp, noticing that Gnar and Unikitty seemed to be in pain - Unikitty was covering her ears, and Gnar had let out a screech.

Elodie's hand flew to her sword, seeing Unikitty and Gnar's similar reactions. "Did you hear something?" She asked, wondering if it was something only animals could hear. She knew that they had sensitive hearing, but she wasn't sure how much it was by. Science was not heavily focused on in Nova, what with the abundance of magic.[/fancypost]

Akisuka wasn't exactly sure how far 'nearby' meant, since Whistle herself had said that she wasn't sure where they were, but she figured that at least one of them had to have been fairly close if they were going to make the journey.

"We're leaving as soon as everyone's done." She added, hesitating in case Seth had anything to add. From the look on his face, she wondered if he was going to disagree - he didn't really seem to like Whistle, and Whistle was going to be the one leading them to whatever haven she had in mind.[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]Elodie nodded, hurrying over to where Luffy and the newcomer were. She knew Zoro had said that Luffy could defend himself, but she still didn't want to risk any lives. They could do whatever they were going to do - which was collecting water, by the looks of it - later.

"Don't go out there right now." She warned once she was close enough. "Unikitty and Gnar can hear those things - whatever they are - and they're still out there, in the direction you guys were headed."

Hero nodded, glancing at Luffy. "Alright. We'll collect water later, then." He looked up, smiling a little as he saw Pyro Jack coming back. The creature floated down to face him, then relayed its observations.
Apparently there was nothing useful to report, other than the fact that it had spotted some more of the beasts, although only one or two relatively near this area.[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]"Well, even if it only adds a little bit of time, it's good enough for me." Akisuka said firmly, noticing that Seth sounded almost sad, like he had already accepted his fate. She hadn't yet, though - as long as there was the hope of safety, it was fine with her. Besides, if the haven had survived this long, they must have been doing something right.

"I'm gonna go let the others know." She said, excusing herself and leaving the room. She thought she knew where the newcomers had gone - there were only so many rooms in this small hotel, and they probably had chosen a place close to where she and Whistle had been.[/fancypost]

That's how we found Unikitty, him," she pointed at Hero, "and this one other guy that went hunting with Lucina and Zoro." She looked around, suddenly noticing something. Yukki was nowhere to be seen.

Hero opened his bag, putting the water bottle back in, since he didn't seem to need it at the moment. "The name's Hero, by the way." Sometimes he wished his parents had been a tad more creative.

He paused as he heard a shout for help. "Did you guys hear that?" It was possible that he had imagined it - the lockdown had made him quite paranoid - but just in case...[/fancypost]

[color=black][size=7pt]Elodie ran after them, wishing she could go faster. Luffy could stretch and Unikitty could move fast in her cat form, but all she had were normal human legs. She made it over to where they were, panting slightly as she observed the scene. Gnar - in some huge form she almost didn't recognize - was on the ground, possibly knocked out, although that looked like it was from Luffy. Unikitty was kneeling next to Yukki, who looked okay for the most part, other than being pinned under a tree.

Hero followed them, even more exhausted, since he wasn't used to running so far, especially not so fast. He took in the scene before him fairly well, immediately pulling out his COMP once he spotted Yukki. "Maybe one of these can lift the tree..." He murmured, scrolling through the demons his group owned. Maybe they had something useful, although he didn't want to take a more powerful one, in case one of his friends needed it. He wasn't sure how big some of them were, since the sizes on the COMP screen were misleading, but it was worth a shot.[/fancypost]
