I had been out on a border patrol by myself when I heard the commotion o voices welcoming another. It had seemed like a good way to repay some of Riverclans kindness while giving myself some time to consider what my next move would be. Ever since I became seperated from my ffriends I haven't had the luck of finding so much as a single clue as to where they would be. GB, Mel, Jerome.. Everyone. I couldn't even go back to the Paradise to look for Father anymore, so far from home I'd wandered. It left me with a very lonesome feeling whose only combatant was my hope that we'd all be reunited one day.

With a soft sigh and gentle shake of the head to clear my thoughts, I decided the best way to cheer myself up would be to head over and greet whomever was at the border. The wind wasn't in my favor today, so for all I knew it could be a complete newcomer or an ally visitor. Hastening my pace I stepped out onto the path to notice a rather large crowd had gathered. I noticed Guts right away seeing as he was the most familiar to me, along with Killua and Marco, who I was also fairly familiar with. A few more were there to, some I recognised and some I didn't.

"Hey guys!" i greeted brightly as I made my way to join their little huddle- only to stop dead in my tracks as the canine they were all standing around became visible.

I stopped mid step in a moment of pure shock. I hadn't been expecting this, not in my most hopeful prayers even. Blue eyes went wide and I felt my jaw drop somewhat, because there standing on the border, alive and well and perfectly safe, was a face I had last seen in the chaos of my fathers Paradise when the humans invaded with their machines to level everything. So many had been crushed or captured for experimentation.

But not me. And not him.

"Jerome!" I cried as I ran forward, tail wagging harder than it had in a long time. I could feel my eyes fill with tears of sheer happiness. I wasn't alone anymore! One of my friends was safe! Perhaps it was too forward of me, looking back on it, but I was a child and overjoyed, and so I didn't think twice about nuzzling into the shepherds chest.

"Where have you been? Is anyone else with you!?" I asked, my hope rekindled at the thought of everyone being together again. Stepping back to look up at him, I'm sure this hope was visible on my young features as well as in my words.

Hmm, maybe she was a bit more perceptively written than I'd first thought. It mattered little though. No amount of knowledge could change anything. That much I knew from experience. "A bad feeling, huh? I guess your right about that." I mused shamelessly, not caring in the least that I'd admitted to being a bad apple. Instead I let another confident grin spread on my lips, and said. "That's probably what you like about me."

"Anyone wanna play truth or dare? I gots food!"

I had never smelled pizza before. Hell, in all honestly I'd never come into contact with any human food before this. For whatever reason though I felt my mouth watering at the smell of all the food. Though I didn't consider truth or dare to be my idea of fun, it wasn't exactly boring either, which was enough incentive to drop the two hare's i'd caught while hunting onto the fresh kill pile and make my way over. The bonfire was pleasant as I drew near, not only to look at, but to fight off the bitter chill brought in at night from the winds of the desert beyond the jungle. Since Awol was the only one a recognized he naturally was the only one my attention went to, and I promptly made myself comfortable in the seat next to his own- after grabbing a slice of cheese pizza. "Your quite the party planner." I mused aloud, willing to let him take the compliment if he chose to. Time to see where the night went. Fun, fun.

Spottign the white feline raising his paw, I grinned and gestured for him to come on over. We would probably need one more person, maybe two max to come along. The nets could be heavy after all. "Hi there! I'm Weed."

Who.. Who could do something like this? I was in shock, and not the kind of shock I'd felt when I'd spotted Jerome on the border. No, this was something far, far worse. I felt too cold and too hot, sick to my stomach and utterly enraged. The bristling of my fur was beyond my own control, but how could any reasonable part of me remain in the face of such a terrible things. That poor person, those poor babies. This, it was unforgivable, and I would never forget the smell of the one who did it. That person, they would pay for what they'd done here.

    "W-What does that say?"

The words, small and soft, snapped me out of my thoughts, and I turned to realise with some horror that I wasn't the only one here. A kit was clutching his stomach, peering at the mess of a scene just to my left. "Don't look!" I said as I quickly ran over to stand in front of him, hoping to block his way. I had noticed for the first time the words though, and would now have a name to put to the face of the she-cat. Wingspan. "I-it doesn't say anything important." I reassured them, though I'm sure Wingspans family would disagree. Still, I had to say something. "We have to find someone, we have to tell them what's happened." I said, trying not to sound as shaken as I was. The truth of it though was that this grisly sight was something that would stay with me for some time, and the sheer rage I felt at the situation was just as great as my disgust that someone so sick could even exist.

I had been standing there, waiting for the instructor to carry on with their lesson, when the distinct feeling of being watched came over me. At first I shrugged it off, shifting lightly on my paws as i tried to focus on the lesson being spoken before me. I did fairly well- until a random lillypad bloomed before me. I didn't have powers, nor was I overly familiar with them, so this sudden appearance was quite baffling. Surprised I glanced around, blue eyes sweeping the woods beyond when I spotted a pale figure. Was she..spying on us? My nose said she didn't smell like the other Riverclanners. No, this was far more of an earthy smell. Nudging Oceanstride gently, I asked, "Who's that over there, watching us?"

"Nice to meet you." I said in response to Loki's introduction. He seemed like a friendly enough person, probably one of those types that didn't cause many problems. What was the word for them again? Model citizens? Yeah, that sounded right. I didn't think I'd have a problem with him- not because I favored 'model citizens', but because they tended not to bit s.hit starters, which meant unless I was feeling particularly cruel, there usually wasn't a reason to bother with them in a negative way.

Hearing that we were about to head out I quickly ducked out of the group to snatch a satchel hanging on a rock. It was big enough to suit my purposes, so after slinging it over my shoulder I made haste in joining the group and setting off. Hopefully this would be an interesting experience. I didn't know what things I might want to take after I went for the medical stuff, but I was hoping there would be something good in the random crap I grabbed for.

I hate to repeat what's already been said, but as someone who just joined Riverclan the other day, compared to what I've experienced in other clans, this one tends to ignore normal/new members. I've posted about half a dozen open threads and the only ones that's gone anywhere is my hunting thread, and even then only half the people are actually replying (keep in mind there's only about 5-6 people in it to begin with). I types up a nice little plot based thread where a kit fell into the river, as well as an open supply raid yesterday, and I think they have one reply each, and I think they are from the same person.

Maybe a posting competition would inspire people to post? Or an OOC competition, where over the course of 1-2 weeks new members could PM HP's with members who are being particularly helpful/welcoming, resulting in the most mentioned people being rewarded?

Well, it was morning, and there was work to be done. With a yawn that stretched my jaws wide I got to my paws and shook out my coat. I could hear the birds chirping and see the sun shining in through the window, and knew it would be another good day. To be honest I was feeling quite optimistic. My friend Jerome had shown up on the borders yesterday, and if he'd managed to managed to make to make it this far than others might have as well. We might all be together again soon.Pausing outside my den a took a moment to stretch out my tired limbs. It was still early, probably close to seven in human terms. Gazing around, I wondered what I should do first..

After stumbling across the horror left for Riverclan on the border earlier I was a bit apprehensive about heading out alone. Someone had been sick enough to skin and crucify a she-cat by the name os Wingspan, but not before cutting her children out of her womb and mutilating them into a crown. It had been the single most disgusting thing I'd ever seen in my life, and I dreaded the idea of finding something like that again. It would have been far wiser to head out with a patrol, but I had desperately wanted some time to myself. This place... As kind as the Riverclanners were, this place wasn't home. The enemies here weren't just a threat, but sick. Why kill without reason? I just didn't understand it. With a sigh i would continue padding along the border, an eye out for any newcomers who may want to join.

    Capture/minor injuries okay, no kill/maim please :D

My hunt was successful, and as I came padding into camp it was with three ducks clutched in my jaws and a smile on my lips. It had taken some time, sure, but with the River out of comission these guys had been easy enough to catch since they'd wanted to linger near the pond. Padding over to the freshkill, which was still looking a little low, I carefully deposited the trio of birds before licking my lips clean of any blood that may still be on them. I was a bit hungry to be honest, but I was determined not to eat anything else until after my hunt this afternoon. Besides, I'd had a really decent sized breakfast anyways, so it wasn't like I was going without anything.

My character Fourthwall has been tasked with holding a clan-wide training session in Bloodclan regarding torture. To help him out I am willing to give 2000 Silver each to three individuals who are willing to let their characters be tortured. I'd like active, semi-advanced people, preferably well established or HP's/Semi HPs. I know it's not a lot of Silver, but I'd really appreciate anyone helping me make my thread awesome.

Your characters would basically just play the role of the tortured captives. You must be okay with extreme torture and eventual death. I am also open to plotting afterwards if anyones character wants to hold a grudge again Fourthwall or something. Payment will be sent upon completion of torture thread. Thanks in advance!

OOC; Alright guys, I had to bring this up.

So all the other frontboard clans- or most of them at least- have a third sub- board usually for the warriors/nursery dens. I ice Bloodclan doesn't have a third board. So, what if instead of an apprentices den/nursery/etc, why not get a Prisoners Quarters board? You would not only open up an entirely new part of the camp, but you would give members and prisoners alike a place to post. All those captives that sit around doing nothing, tortures sessions, slave based tournaments. Even the slaves themselves wouldbe able to RP without cluttering boards or escaping. The suboard could be like 'in this area of bloodclan there are three main areas for the slaves.' One is the arena, where slave tournaments and such are held. The second is the pit, which is a massive hole in the ground that slaves and captives are kept in. It could have steel nets guarded by eleentals draped over it to keep people in, and would give prisoners a chance to rp with each other in threads to keep their muse up. Lastly there could be a torture chamber where Bloodclans can go to destroy and torture slaves. bloodclanners would also be able to post in the board to give prisoners tasks and such.

    Just a suggestion ^^

OOC Are the boards free? It could be worth a trial run. The slaves might not RP much because there's nowhere to rp. We could try holding slave competition/tournaments and such, and give them a general reason to rp. It's not like they can jump in to open threads around the board since it would be considered an attempted escape. If it works out, it might even open up potential for a Slave Master rank, someone who specifically looks after the slaves and gives them stuff to do. Or it could be a title maybe?

This was exactly what I needed. I had come to Bloodclan looking to open the many windowns of oppurtunity around me that had been closed before. With a flaming torch in jaw I set fire to what had to have been my half a dozenth tree, and as you can imagine that had spread rather quickly. In my wake was a roaring inferno of tree-eating flames, and when I finally found satsifaction in lighting the last one I abandoned the idea and set off for the camp after the rest of them.

I was sure my eyes held a hint of insanity as I slammed the the flaming side of the torch into and NPC's skull. They went down with a yelp, clawing at the side of their charred face where no doubt I'd left them with a busted head. And then I was looking for fresh blood, lips twisted into a smir around the wooden torch. SOmebody was going to really regret crossing paths with me today.

    [/justify]

Oh, I see. I didn't realize staff no longer made them available for free, lol. When you guys say 'buy' do you mean with Silver or real cash? If it's silver maybe a 'donations bank' could be opened where people with extra silver can donate to it- if enough people like the idea of course? I know I'd be willing to throw in once I am a bit more established on here and have some Silver to actually spend.

Anyways, thanks for hearing me out!

"Ah, yeah, they are. Cool, huh?"

Cool? I supposed so. I mean, I liked the sound of my name, and I'd already admitted to myself that Awol had a decent ring to it. Strange, but decent. "Very." I agreed with a small smirk, "Great minds think alike though. Your mom, or your dad give you that name?" I asked, completely aware that it might have been neither. I had named myself after all, and it was also entirely possible that he'd been raised and named by a guardian of some sort. Oh well.

I had meant what I said about being hungry though, and was about to head off when Awol decided to take me up on my offer to have lunch together. With a wide grin he stuck his tongue out in my direction, and with a raised brow I debated throwing a scandalous remark his way on what he could do with that tongue. Instead, I opted for mirroring him, sticking my own tongue out in a sarcastically playful manner.

"Gee, thanks, mista'." he said before reaching down to collect his kill. "Sure, I'll tag along. Got nothin' to do, now, anyway. I'm free for a bit."

Yeah, and I'm sure my general awesomeness had nothing to do with it. Momentarily I wondered what could be wrong with this kid that he'd choose to spend his free time with some stranger he'd just noticed rather than his friends, but I shrugged it off just as quickly, not really caring what little quirks and oddities he'd been written with. At least he was interesting, and I could always work with interesting.

"Only for a bit, huh?" I asked, wondering what someone younger than me could possibly have to do that was so important. "Better not make too good of an impression then. When I get bored I have a tendency to develop 'puppy-dog syndrome'." I said with a laugh, though the joke held some bit's of truth to it. Weather it was to harass someone and get a rise out of them, or just because I wanted company, every now and then I'd play the part of tag-along and follow a person of interest around for a bit.

Only once in a while though. I wasn't that pathetic[/i].

I waited only long enough for him to sling his kill over his shoulder before heading off toward the fresh kill pile, though my languid pace would be easy for him to match. Yeah, this guy would definitely be left with the impression that I was lazy. Oh well- it'd be all the more fun to catch him off guard later with my general 'liveliness', which always seemed to manifest in different ways.

"Where'd you come from, then, before this place?"

For some reason, this was a question I hadn't really been expecting. It wasn't that I had something to hide or anything like that. I didn't even really hate anything from my past other than my own inability to grasp what was right in front of me. I guess I'd just spent so much time telling myself to move forward, that looking back hadn't crossed my mind.

"I doubt it's any place you heard of." I warned, just in case he was hoping for some epic backstory. There really wasn't one. "It's at least a month North of here, a little pack by the name of The Fenrir. It was a pretty normal place I guess- way smaller than this though. They were to conserved for my taste though. We clashed in a lot of ways, so I left." And that was that. "What about you? Were you born in Bloodclan?"
