'go on, it's just snow.' slowly, scourge wandered out into the snowy wonderland as well, looking up at the puffy clouds. snow marked the middle of leaf bare, but he hadn't minded the cold and aching weather. it was actually rather comforting to be experiencing snow once again. he stuck his tongue out slightly, feeling the cool snow flakes land on his tongue and melt.

he simply blinked at her for a few seconds, drinking in the question before giving her an honest answer.
'no, i don't think many girls are interested in the icicle of a music teacher.' he laughed softly, believing that she only intended the question to be of good nature, but when she hadn't joined him, he realized she was serious.
'are you?' he placed his half empty cup on the floor, sitting with his elbows propped on his knees and his head on his palms.
-
'maybe we should go out sometime, on a date i mean.. i suppose it won't be appropriate, but no one ever follows rules to begin with.'
he shrugged nonchalantly, looking towards her for a response. in all of this, he now found himself being dead serious and a bit flustered for acting so. he was ready to take whatever she would throw his way; rejection or acceptance.
ooc: sorry, very low muse :(
-
'why would i ever make the girl ask first? it's traditional for the male to court the female, not the other way around.' laughing, he gave her hands a squeeze back.
'i know exams and such are going on right now, and i'm not going to force a specific day on you.' extracating just one hand, he leaned over to his desk to grab a scrap of paper and a pen. he scribbled down a few letters and numbers onto it before handing it to her.
'it's my number, just give it a call whenever you'd like.'
-
joshua's eyes widened, his gaze flickering to the clock then back to the girl standing in the doorway. he had completely forgotten about his lesson he managed to squeeze in with his other student, a slip of the mind.
regaining his thoughts and composition, he was slow to his feet before letting out an exaggerated cough, clutching his chest in effect.
'i'm terribly sorry mina, i was just discussing important upcoming events with a student of mine. this is jasmin, her lesson is up and we were just about to part. come in.' collecting both of their cups, he walked into the backroom, all the while mentally cursing to himself.
'jasmin, we can pick up on your next lesson, yeah?' peeking his head out, he gave her an expectant look as the other student seemed oblivious to their exchange.
-
'you usually ring before dropping by on visits like this. i'm sorry that i totally forgot about today, i had the lesson plans and everything set up, i just got carried away.' e quickly shuffled through the items in the backroom before quickly coming back out and sifting through folders on his desk.
he was still mind boggled from the previous events that had taken place just a few seconds earlier. flustered, his fingers gripped a few music sheets, moving them onto the stand of the piano.
it was one of the days he dreaded the most. because mina had been one of his more advanced students, there was always time left before the lesson was completely up which usually led to more interrogation on his personal life. just the thought sickened him further.
'have a seat, warm up if you'd like.'
-
'i suppose i'm just trying to seem more casual with all my students. the 'cold' reputation is making me lose a few students, or they just won't show up at all so i decided to take on another approach.' he merely shrugged off her suspicions before placing the music sheets in front of her.
'but she's just a student nonetheless. unless you're suggesting something...?' looking over to her slightly, he couldn't help but raise a questioning eyebrow. the sudden turn of the conversation made joshua feel extremely uncomfortable but he had to play along if he didn't want her to make up any conclusions that were true.

It's that time of year again, where the weather is hot and the sunlight is plentiful. Of course, with more heat, the amount of people visiting cooler places increases over time.
Collier Dean, an older boy who has managed to work in the same ice rink for 5 years. Although he's gotten used to helping out others and seeing people stumble around the rink in the cold, he feels as if dreading work is more appropriate.
But a new group has started coming in with teenagers who think they've gotten the complete hang of it all. Being a hockey player himself, Collier learns to ignore their ignorant attitudes, but a single girl stands out from the rest in the group. She's an eye-catcher, that's for sure.

ignoring her last comment, his hand worked quickly to write down a few notes on a blank sheet of paper he had in front of her. starting from her posture, he create a list of things he used to evaluate her overall playing, but all seemed to be normal.
checking a few last things on the list, he placed it on his desk and continued to look at her fingers moving across the keys, spacing out once more.
it wasn't as if he had intended to focus out of her perfectly pitched spiel, but the illness and lack of immense thinking had caused him to feel, in better terms, terrible.
-
ooc: alright! :)
ic: slowly, a steady stream of individuals made their way into the rink as evening approached. he yawned slightly at the sight of younger children, teens and adults enter the icy area dressed in thick clothing. hugging his own windbreaker closer around himself, he took off from his previous spot on the wall to make a few rounds. everyone so far had been a stumbling mess, tripping over their laces or chunks of ice that hadn't been smoothed over.
-
nodding his head slightly, he made no effort to make eye contact. he merely gazed back to his own hands as they lightly pressed the keys down in a soft, melodic tune as to give their upcoming conversation a backdrop.
'what would you like to talk about?' the idea of speaking with another one of his students was already a bit tiring for him, seeing that the day was nearly over.
'it's not like you to ask before talking either.'
-
as a group of meddling teens had entered into the ice, collier let out a groan, trying his best to avoid the entire lot. it was an understatement to say that cocky teens had irked him, especially when trying to one up him in something he clearly knew how to do. instead, he picked his way over to the tiny children and began to help them up as they fell one by one from the slippery ice.
-
before completely gaining back complete balance, collier accidentally bumped into a young girl with fair, blond hair. he steadied the both of them from falling onto the hard ice beneath them.
'i'm sorry, i should have looked up.' he shot her a smile before standing tall, wiping away some of the ice that managed to get on his jacket. he stuck his hand out for her to shake.
'the name is collier. what's yours?'
-
hiya, i was wondering if i could join in on this thread? :)
-
'do you come here often? this is the first time i've seen you around...' glancing up and around the arena, he tried to spot out the group she had arrived with. as he spotted their stark contrast with the majority, he figured that they had just left her without noticing.

ooc: alrighty :) here's my form if needed..?

name: collier masonage: 18
personality: flustered easily, easy-going, kind hearted
appearance:

||ic: he scrambled into position, trying to find out where his hands or legs should be for an appropriate stance. it wasn't everyday that he had had shown up to his neighbors house, clad in sweats with a giant packet of cough drops in one hand. then again, it wasn't as if he had shown any of tenants this 'pleasant' side of him, he was just feeling overly generous, maybe too generous for his own good.
he knew that staying in the comforts of his own unit was a better idea than bothering his next door neighbors. using the cough drops as a cover up, he merely wanted to understand how it was possible for someone to sneeze 10 times in a row without having their nose fall off. it was a fact that his slumber was disturbed by eerie noises around the complex, but the cough next door to him couldn't go unnoticed. he had to do something about it.
sweat began to accumulate in his palms as the door was opened, revealing a young female on the other side. straightening up his posture, he took note of her rather miserable expression, twisting his mouth into a frown as well.
'ah-em. well, i just wanted to stop by and ask if you were alright. i've heard your coughs and sneezes from next door, and i figured you were probably just ill but-' shoving the bag of unopened cough drops towards her, he stuffed the other hand in his sweatpants pocket.
'here, i realized you needed them more than me.' collier gave off a nonchalant shrug, avoiding eye contact with her as he understand the humiliation of the situation. a slight pink tinted his cheeks.
'the name is collier,' he added quietly.
-
simply nodding his head, collier gave her another quick smile before slowly trying to move in the opposite direction.
'you're pretty good, yeah? do you skate on your free time or are you an ice skater...?' he stopped in his tracks, coking his head to the side in curiosity.
-
'wa-well actually, i was wondering if you needed any help. laundry, getting the mail, deliveries you couldn't make today...?' slowly, his gaze drifted over her shoulder to the interior the house, not wanting to seem too nosy but still caring enough.
'is everything alright in there?' pointing a finger into the small unit, he began to concern himself over the slight sounds. there were no chances that anyone else was living in the same room, right? the possibility of a roommate or possibly a significant other seemed unlikely but the slight shifts and creaks had left no other choice.
he knew the moment he saw a glimpse of gold flash behind her, that smoking a cigarette first thing in the morning was not a good idea. rubbing his eyes, he tried to clear his mind of the impossible. it wasn't happening.
-
'ah, i see. what team does your brother play for? i'm just curious, i play hockey as well.' explaining, collier scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment. his eyes scanned the floor once more, looking out for others which still speaking.
-
'how's life...?' trailing off, he furrowed his brow in concentration, trying to find a logical answer that didn't seem to be too rude but still managing to answer the question thoroughly. truth to be told, he really hadn't liked where this conversation would be going. especially when she was the one instigating.
'i suppose it'd be better without this cold.' he released a weak chuckle, slowing down his tempo but increasing the sound quality.
'then again, life is pretty monotone anyways when you're a piano instructor.'
