It was moonhigh when the apprentice padded out of the barn, shaking her fur free of the straw as she started towards the creek close to camp. There was a purr in her throat to see the starshine reflect off the water, slowly trickling to the streams and rivers far spread. With the smile on her face, she lowered herself to the edge to take a drink. Nice cool water touched her tongue, and mid-lap the feeling danced through her pelt, causing her fur to raise and causing her to freeze up. Copper eyes opened wide, dilating with fascination as as the water came to a standstill, becoming a mirror for the moon above and other images came to her sight.
Serenadekit took a shaky breath as the images became clearer, and soon she was pulled into the still water, untouched and dry as she was brought into another world. There, sitting across from her all of a sudden was a cat; white but a little scarred up... At first she thought it was Winterretreat, but when she looked closer the felines eyes were a vibrant violet, calm and steady unlike the strange cloud that had possessed her mentor. When she tried to speak to the cat, she couldn't help but notice there was no scent.... Male? Female? She couldn't tell.... Was this StarClan?
The stranger met her eyes, and she felt warm, calm despite how strange this all was. When she blinked, she saw the land behind him. A large castle coated in strange stone, horses here and there with felines riding on their back, a large lake and forest surrounding the stone building....
Where was this? Surely not her tribes home.... Before she could study it more, the vision was gone. It had felt like an hour should have passed, but when she blinked once more Serenadekit found herself at the same creek, mid-lap, in the cool night air. She took a deep breath, realizing she hadn't in the ten seconds she'd been in her own head, stood up, licking her lips and twitching her whiskers as she looked around.
What had that been about...?
OOC: Just to clarify, she isn't seeing ToHM. She's visioned another group the Tribe hasn't come in contact with, another group of peace-seekers just like them.
