The feline paused briefly, taking a breath of the fresh air. She had learned the hard way to be wary, as shown by a number of scars marring her previously clean black pelt. You could never know when you'd run into an enemy. A fox, a wolf... or a flipping superpowered dragon, knowing the state the world was in right now. The famed tactic of 'running away', while not glorious, had saved her life more then once.

She didn't have the sharpest senses - that came with living as a housecat so long, she supposed. Still, that wasn't an excuse for carelessness. She noticed the smell of another creature worryingly close to her. It was feline, but she couldn't tell much else... it could've been anything from a cat like her to a tiger. "Who's there?" She challenged, wary but not yet hostile. She didn't want to end up angering something that could claw her face off with ease, but she didn't want to look like a pushover either.

This guy... was a bit gullible, wasn't he? Still, Fusha was in no mood to argue with a free ride up. "If you're sure you can carry me. I'd rather not fall again because I weighed you down." She explained. She had gotten lucky she hadn't broken anything the first time, and she internally doubted she'd be that lucky twice.

"Fusha." The Ekans nodded in response as she climbed onto the Archen's back. She wasn't too sure if she'd introduced herself yet since Solarstorm had an awful memory, but no matter. The world wasn't going to end if she accidentally said her name twice.

It was a cat like herself, which was probably the best of bad options. He was a bit bigger than her, though - he was an adult, probably. Why couldn't this stupid body just grow up? "Blackout. Travelling." She answered the first two questions swiftly. And for you to go away. She thought bitterly about the third. She didn't like the way this stranger was circling her, so she turned around to face him. "And nothing in particular. Your turn now, who are you and what do you want?"

The snake braced herself, determined not to fall again. She had to admit, despite her hesitation, this was a lot faster then the pace she'd been slithering at. The bird-like Pokemon didn't seem to be struggling to carry her, either. It must've been nice having legs, and wings, for that matter.

Kittypet. She couldn't exactly say it was a lie. The collar was a memento of her old life, and she knew it was stupid, but it was just had too much sentimental value for her to toss away. Still, she hated that word. It meant someone weak and stupid to these feral creatures, and Blackout didn't want to be known as either of those things. "You don't normally see 'kittypets', as you call them, with this many scars." She mused.

Although she wouldn't admit it to anyone, least of all herself, the Ekans was mildly impressed by how quickly Clay was climbing the mountain. It was much faster then the pace she was going at, at any rate.

"Hmph. Fair enough, I did." The black cat nodded, trying to keep the steadily growing smile off her face. This guy didn't seem that bad. He was quick witted, at any rate, which was something she would grudgingly respect in a person. He was still mistaking her for a kittypet, though, and since he was offering to fetch her some food... well, Blackout wasn't going to correct him just yet.

"Heh. Thanks, Fang." The younger cat nodded, a sly smile on her maw as she picked up the mouse. She ate it quickly, practically scarfing it down, surprising herself with the knowledge of how hungry she had been. For the longest time, she had been puzzled by how anyone could manage to survive off of scraps of food like rabbits and mice, but eventually she fell into the lifestyle herself. She had learned to ignore the gnawing feeling of hunger. It was practically a mandatory skill.

She stood up after a minute or so, absentmindedly stretching her tired limbs. "So, you said you live around here." She noted, then abruptly paused. "You're alone, right?" What if she accidentally ran into one of the clans? This guy seemed okay, even offered her some food, but... even the worst of clans had nice members. She couldn't take that risk. When there were groups out there that killed, tortured and raped on a daily basis, it seemed wise to stay very far away from them as a whole.

"I just..." She paused, would it be wise to admit she didn't like the clans, either? ... he had revealed something about himself, so it only made sense for her to do the same. "... I needed to make sure you weren't a clan member." She said simply. "My humans... er, 'twolegs', as you call them, were killed by one of them." It had been maybe a month ago, but the memory still struck a raw nerve. She closed her yellow eyes, shaking off the suppressed memories that came rushing back. At least that might convince him I'm not a 'kittypet' anymore.

The Ekans looked over at the Ralts quizzically before replying with a brisk, "No." The Archen was doing an alright job with carrying her, and they were making pretty good progress - she wasn't going to accept any more help then she needed, and end up being indebted to even more people than necessary.

Caliburn hovered near the edge of the mountain top, his gaze darting around at the gathered Pokemon. He was never the best around crowds. He was never quite sure what to do or what to say. He already wasn't great around people when they were alone, nevermind when he was stuck in the midst of ten others. The sword drifted over to the nearest Pokemon he saw - A Venipede - and decided to strike up a conversation. Might as well get to know his allies, right? "Hello!" He greeted, forcing some energy into his voice, although he might've overdone it a tad. "My name's Caliburn. Were you visited in a dream, too?" It suddenly occurred to him that on the off chance this Pokemon wasn't one of the chosen, he just made himself look crazy. Whoops.

A small ghost type floated through the tree tops, his red irises darting this way and that as he checked for any danger. He was supposed to be the one surprising people, not the other way around! It was rare for him to get to be a ghost Pokemon, too, so he wanted to make the most of the opportunity. The little Misdreavous hummed a soft tune under his breath. He remembered the rhythm to this song, but the lyrics were long forgotten.

Unconcerned, he continued to drift along. He wasn't used to floating, either, that was another downside to this form. Oh well - he could just copy another one later, right? He supposed that being able to literally be someone else made up for his true body being a blob of purple goo. The 'Misdreavous' continued to levitate along, it's gaze swiveling this way and that as he passed through the trees.

The young feline was about to answer before she suddenly turned around at the sound of a nearby yowl. The words were lost on her, thanks in part to her dull senses, but she picked up on the urgent tone just fine. The glare of orange fire and the scent of smoke spoke for itself. "We can talk later, come on!" She yelped to Fang, and took off running, not caring to check if he followed. Her already tired limbs protested as she suddenly burst out into a sprint, but Blackout forced herself to ignore the dull ache.

The Honedge nodded - once more, it as more like just bobbing up and down, since a sword didn't exactly have a head. "Nice to meet you, Erebos." He chimed. He noticed she was lowering her voice a tad, so he took the hint and did that same. Had he overdone it with the enthusiasm, or was she just naturally softspoken? ... talking to people was tricky. "Hmm... yeah, I'm not sure if I could turn off the levitation even if I wanted to." He said absentmindedly. He could lie down when he was sleeping or knocked out, but he wasn't sure if he had ever tried to land on the ground while he was awake. He made a mental note to try it sometime, when he was in safer terrain then a mountain he could accidentally roll down. "Seeing as you didn't just call me crazy, mind if I asked which legendary you were visited by? No other poison or bug types have shown up yet, you see." He paused, beginning to go off on another tangent. "Then again, maybe nobody will show up for poison types? There aren't any poison type legendaries, as best I know..."

Fusha mentally cursed as she glanced behind her. Two avalanches in one day; spectacular! "You might want to speed up a tad!" She hissed, hearing the rocks rumble behind her. That idiotic 'Virus' character better be happy I'm going through all this for his sake... I swear to all that is good, there better be an emergency when we reached the top of this thing...
