Shadowchaser dipped her head respectfully and headed to the apprentice den to wake Lightpaw. She stuck her head in the doorway and called out softly for Lightpaw. "Shrewfoot wants us to go on the border patrol," she said when she heard the answering groan.

Shadowchaser waited for her apprentice, then padded out of the den. "Who else will go?" She called to Shrewfoot as she padded up to him.
-
"Yes," Shadowchaser answered her leader. "Border patrol."
-
Wait isn't Dappleclaw a queen?
-
Shadowchaser dipped her head and shot Lightpaw a look that said, Behave. Then she turned her attention to Moonstar. When the leader joined them, Shadowchaser turned to the entrance and padded toward it.

Hopefully yes.

OOC: New NightClan RP!
IC: Fallenstar lounged on a rock and patted lazily at a beetle that scuttled past. She nudged the half-eaten wood mouse that lay on the rock next to her and took another bite. The stringy meat reminded her sharply of the famine her clan was enduring, and she heaved herself to her paws, laziness forgotten. Well, she thought. I'd better hunt. She jumped neatly down from her rock and padded to the entrance, which was hidden under a large hawthorn bush. She wiggled through the burrow and emerged in the midst of a bramble thicket. After much grumbling and cursing, Fallenstar finally pulled herself free of the last spiky tendril. And, with more dramatic flare than was necessary, lifted her nose and scented for prey. Almost immediately she caught the scent of rabbit. She purred; she didn't usually scent prey this easily, let alone in the middle of a famine. Maybe StarClan was taking pity on them at last. With more dramatic flare, she lowered her tail and began the game of stalking. -

"What I saw out there," Whisperstar began gravely. "Was a collapsed wall. As you know, the walls in the trenches are almost impossible to collapse. The Spirit Trail runs through them, so the only way to collapse the wall would be to have a giant creature purposefully collapse it."
-
"I don't know. Shrewfoot didn't say. Let's go to the Raven Tree then, if that's okay with you," Shadowchaser suggested.
-
Fallenstar trotted back to camp, her jaws laden with her rabbit, two starlings and a mouse. She was pleased. If she had done so well, surely that meant the famine was coming to an end? For the first time since the start of this horrible blight, she had hope. As she padded to the entrance, she suddenly realized she had a problem. How was she supposed to get into the camp? The burrow was too small to fit both her and her catch. She was stumped. As she sat thinking, she caught a flicker of movement in the corner of her eye. It was a squirrel. Dropping her prey as silently as she could, she dropped to a crouch and crept up on the squirrel as she watched it haul its bundle of nuts to a tree root. Suddenly it struck her that the squirrel was in the same situation she was. But it came up with a solution. As she watched, it tossed one nut over the root, then the next and the next. She was impressed. She thought that if she could throw her prey over the barrier, she would wriggle through the burrow, and all would be fine.
She thanked the squirrel by adding it to her catch and using his strategy to get into her camp.

Cool! I might join with my new character Trailfire, if that's ok with you.

Whisperstar purred with amusement. "Mountain lions don't live up here, Vixentail. No, I'm thinking more of a grizzly bear."
-
Whisperstar leaned out of the den and fixed Robinpaw with a stern glare. "Robinpaw," she began. "Never eavesdrop on your leader when she is discussing an important problem. And, Vixentail, none of our warriors can take a grizzly bear. Not even Lionleap." She said this with a smile to Lionleap. She sighed. "I suppose I must announce this now." Whisperstar leaped to the ground and took a deep breath. "One of the walls in the trenches has collapsed." Ignoring the gasps of shock, she continued. "As you know, the only way to do this is to persuade a large enough creature to do it purposefully. And as you also know -" she glared at Robinpaw as she said this -"we believe it is a grizzly bear."
-
"Yes, we are. But we'll do the Raven Tree first," Shadowchaser informed her apprentice, shooting a questioning glance at Moonstar for approval.

Just let me know when you're done. :)

Name: Trailfire
Age: 21 moons
Gender: male
Rank: warrior
Personality: Trailfire is kind and gentle, and he tries to please everybody. When someone is sad, he cannot help comforting them. He does everything in his power to keep a group together, and he is sort of like the mediator in a fight. He reasonable, loyal, and trustworthy, which helps his reputation as the dependable one, which, unlike most cats, he is okay with being called. He always keeps a promise, and he tries not to get to close to any cat, as he had his heart broken when his mate, Badgerslash, died in a battle. He is rather gullible, but almost impossible to embarrass, as he just laughs it off. He is sensitive and quiet, too, but not sensitive as in he gets offended easily - more like he is sensitive to other's emotions - and he can be very loud when he is defending someone or something. He would willingly take a wound for any of his clanmates. He is also extremely smart and thoughtful, often sitting in the shadows daydreaming.
Looks(Pictures encouraged): see pic below
Crush/Mate/Kits?: none/none/none
Kin(Family): He has a brother, Hawkswoop, in his birth clan, HiddenClan, and his parents died in a fire that drove Trailfire to leave.
Other: NightClan.

"Something must be done. We must rebuild the wall, and we must do it fast. Perhaps we could shore it up with some branches?" Whisperstar suggested.
