Faria growled indignantly and batted at his face with her paws. "Hey! That's not fair! I'm blind on that side!" The fae attempted to look angry. And failed. Jasper's laughing was highly contagious and she found herself laughing with him. I guess I must have looked pretty funny. "Not safe in my own camp, then," she joked, sticking out her tongue at him.

Ayra grimaced and tucked her tail around her. "Ayra," she whispered. "Of Pine Pack, daughter of the old alphas and adopted sister to the new one. Warrior class. And the last of 'the alpha pups'." She was barely audible. The blue fae didn't really want the brute to hear her. She wasn't sure whether to trust him or not, but at least he looked friendly.

    Okay :) Go ahead!

OMG - what if Saff, like, goes into a coma, Sauit appoints a NEW Beta then Saff wakes up? Then the other character challenges Sauit for choosing to keep Saff over him and betrays them or something? But, like, secretly? As in sells out all their camp's weaknesses, explains the best routes through the territory, etc, whilst pretending to be loyal and respectful and shtuff.

    (Okay, great :) Thanks, Kirami!)

Faria snarled playfully and struggled against the sudden weight; being younger and a lot lighter, his bulk made it kinda hard to breath. She eventually wormed her way out from beneath the 'dead' brute and sat about a yard away, pretending to sulk, and raised an eyebrow at Nonami, shrugged her shoulders and smiled in a mock-baffled kind of way.

(Not towering over her for long, she's still growing and is already large for a wolf. XD)

Faria yelped in surprise again, and went to cuff him around the head. "Hey, seriously, stop it! I'm jumpy, OK?" She in a not-very-serious voice, and hid her laugh behind a loud, sudden coughing fit. "Sorry about him, Nonami." She looked to the brute at her side and indicated Nonami. "Jasper, this is Nonami. She's staying with us for a while. Nonami, this is Jasper. He's a warrior, and he most serious guy I've ever met." She rolled her eyes and went to elbow him.

"To be honest, you probably are," Faria laughed and went to cuff him again. She felt happy again, and though she still felt violent and selfish, and all the other evil qualities she had, didn't feel quite so overwhelmed by them. She felt normal, like she had before he foster parents became too old to fight, before she'd had to lead the warriors in their place, before she'd had to become an alpha at the expense of her childhood. "Jasper, can I talk to you for a second?" She got up and walked towards her den, then stopped in the middle of her camp and looked over her shoulder, waiting for Jasper to follow.

Faria looked carefully from side to side, sending a fierce snarl at anyone in the immediate vicinity and sat down at the entrance to her den. "I don't really know how to say this, Jasper, but the Beta position... Its been empty since..." She winced. "I've been doing this all alone, and though I'm good at the battle side of things, when it comes to other things I've no idea what to do." Mentally bracing herself, she tucked her tail tightly around herself, as though afraid of draughts. "I need a friend by my side, someone wolves listen to, look up to, universally respect... So, to cut the chase... Will you be my beta?" She shuffled uncomfortably. "Please, Jasper. I don't trust anyone else to do it."

Go to the Fir pack camp? I believe Sauitatis and Imperial are free?)

Faria pressed the crown of her head into his chest and sighed. "Thanks, Jasper."
She stood and bounded out of the den, leaping onto her ledge as the sun sunk below the horizon. The alpha watched as the pack - her pack - went around their business. The rock was cold beneath her paws. She flicked her ear and laid down, stretched across the rock.

Aww, Jasper is officially my favourite character. So cute. XD)

Faria vigilantly scanned the camp for any trouble. She paused to thump her tail a little as Jasper sat beside her, and shifted slightly so that he was shielding her left side. Her major weakness worried her a lot, and it was always on her mind, in the dark corners of her mind (of these she had many) and haunting her as she slept. She couldn't spend her life pressed to a wall, though, and now she had a second to watch her back - or on this case her flank - she felt much less uneasy. She glanced at Jasper. "I'll make the announcement at sundown."

Ayra watched the brute - Iolite - go and turned to head back to her own camp. It was getting dark, and she was scheduled for vigil: she knew that she'd meet a cruel end if she endangered her pack. Running at a steady pace, she ran over to Nonami. "Hey... I'm on vigil duty soon, so I won't be in my den tonight, but I can show you where it is if you'd like to rest. Or you can help with the watch tonight, if you'd rather do that," she whispered, keeping her voice as low as possible.

"You sure? I'll be glad of the company, but it's a long night..." Ayra wagged her tail, pleased that she wasn't alone, at least. She hated vigil; it wasn't the all-night watch itself, but the idea that if the enemy attacked, she might have to face them alone until the warriors woke up. Nanomi looks tough, so at least I won't have that problem tonight.

    Who loses whose title?

Nope, I meant that Saff loses her title because she's in 'mysterious deep sleep' and therefore no use to anyone, but eventually wakes up and reclaims it. Then the one who gained (then lost!) their title goes traitor. So she doesn't actually lose her title, but in the RPG she will do for maybe a month? Just long enough for the new beta to get all comfortable and cocky and arrogant and big-headed and stuff. XD

Rylith can do it if you like :)
