Kalani slammed the door once her parents and little sister backed out of the driveway. They were going to Disneyland (ew), and the only reson she couldn't go was because of her fabulous skills in the art of deception. She told her parents that she had a midterm to study for-which she didn't. Her midterm's were already over, but her parents didn't need to know that. Now they would be gone for three whole days. Kalani smiled to herself as she turned on her phone to text her friends...and some guys. Parents are away...get over here right now. xox -K

Okay I guess I'll go into detail now :P
1. For username color...I used to be able to do this, but I forgot the websites you can use, and I might need help with copy pasting the code correctly..I haven't decided a color yet, but I probably want something that fades into another color.
2. For username font, I know what the one I want looks like, but I have no idea of the name lol. I do know how to copy/paste the font in the correct place, though.

IC: Kalani scoured the fridge searching for appropriate food and drinks to serve. Finally she pulled two cases of beer from the back of the fridge. Nice try, she thought about her parent's terrible hiding spot. Kalani set them out on the counter, along with and endless load of snacks. She dimmed most of the lights, and turned loud pop music up on her iPod. All that was left was to wait 'til her friends arrived.

IC: Kalani steps out of her summer beach house and turns on her iPod music. Her dark, tanned skin compliments her orange bikini. She walks the short length down the beach and enjoys the salty Florida air. Kalani was about to sit down before she noticed a thin, crinkled piece of paper sticking out of the sand. She plucked it out of the ground before the tide could reach it. She opened it up and read, My name is Serana. I've been in the water ever since I've known. Why? Because I belong there. I'm a mermaid. I planned to stay there for the rest of my life until one night when a storm messed with fate. The waves were violently crashing against anything in its path and the sea creatures were taking refuge in underwater caves. I was sleeping, slept right through the whole thing. However, I didn't wake up in the right place. I woke up on shore to find that I was a human and in totally the wrong place. I could tell by the smell, the landscape, the water. It was Florida; I was in the keys, but that was not where my home was. I was from the Carribean Islands. Now I'm hopelessly lost with no way back. If you're reading this, please help me! And tell no one of this, okay?
Kalani's expression turned bewildered. Was this an actual mermaid? She wanted to believe so. She loved mermaids, especially as a little girl. She'd always wished to see one, and swim with one. After long contemplation, she decided to search for this girl. Soon, she was walking down the beach asking girls if their name was Serana. All said no. Finally she came up to a girl that was sitting all alone on the beach.
Kalani tapped her, and asked, "Hi, I was just wondering if your name was Serana?"
Kalani stared back at her in shock. She actually found her! It was kinda crazy. Finally, Kalani smiled at the pretty girl and sat down. "I'm Kalani. I got your note, and uh..." Kalani drifted off, not knowing what to say. What could you say to a girl claiming to be a mermaid?
I was about to say 1. and 3. looked pretty good, but if you can't work the website, that's okay. :)
"Oh, yeah! Of course!" Kalani said, returning the smile. "It's not a problem to help you. It's actually really cool," she confided in her. Kalani got up and brushed off, then offered a hand to Serana. Kalani had no idea what she could do, or what she needed her to do, but she didn't really care. The adventure in it alone was enough to give her cause.
Kalani chuckled, saying. "My name is Kalani. I live on the beach, way over there." Kalani helped her when she was getting up and walked slowly with her across the beach. She brushed her dark brown hair away from her eyes and smiled at her. "So, uh, tell me about the ocean I guess," she said. Kalani had been in the ocean too many times to count, since she lived on the beach, but had never gone deep enough to see anything special.
OOC: Btw, how old are they like teens or in their 20's?
