    Plot:

    Chandler:

IC: Chandler walked into the high school and made a B-line for her locker. She kept her head down and her hair over her face. She fumbled with the books in her locker but when she turned around, a large senior knocked them out of her hands. She didn't say anything and when she refused to respond, he got in her face. Chandler pressed her back against the locker and held her head to the side, not making eye contact or saying a word.

"What the? What are you doing?" Karter asked, pressing herself back against the wall as much as she could. This was probably not good.

"Maybe...I think that section over there is still somewhat intact." Anything for Karter. If she was up there then she could be hurt and if she was hurt, Tyler would never forgive himself.

The next words out of Tyler's mouth were foreign but he felt the need to say them. "Be careful. The rocks up here are probably still loose and we don't have gear. We won't be helping anyone if we're dead."

Karter wasn't sure what was going on but she'd never kept her mouth before and saw no point in starting now. "You guys think you're so tough but you just hide behind your pokemon. You kidnapped a couple of kids for basically no reason. You're bullies and cowards and you won't get away with any of this," she snapped irritably.

Karter landed on her bum with a thud. She cringed but then glared at him. "We only chased you because you were spying on the gym and we wouldn't have been battling if you'd answered us when we asked what you wanted. You were the one who started all of this and now you're picking on a couple of kids who can't even fight back. That sounds pretty weak to me."

Tyler pulled himself up and as his foot left a small ledge it crumbled and fell away. It took all of his willpower not to look down. The only things that kept him going was the fact they were almost there and the fact that Karter might be in trouble.

Tyler reached up and let Clay pull him up. He hadn't been above the edge long when he saw the man with a Houndoom approaching fast. The pokemon reared up to attack and Tyler pushed Clay out of the way. "Look out!" A powerful flamethrower hit Tyler square in the chest and sent him sliding backwards and over the edge of the cliff. He managed to grab onto the ledge and held himself suspended by one arm.

Liren cursed. That should have taken out both of them. "That was pretty noble. Too bad nobility never got anyone anywhere. In fact, it's going to get you a one way ticket to the ground. Houndoom, keep the other one at bay while I deal with this vermin." Liren looked down at Tyler hanging suspended before slowly placing his boot on Tyler's fingers and pushing down hard.

"Gah!" Tyler yelped in pain. His hand started to slip and he knew that if he fell it wouldn't be good. With one strong twist, Liren shoved him off and Tyler was in the air for a few seconds. He threw his arm out and luckily caught onto a branch that had grown out of the side of the mountain. "Clay! Run!" he yelled painfully. "Find the girls!"

Karter almost laughed. "You're going to threaten me with electricity? Please. I've grown up around electric type pokemon. Volkner's my father. I know a thing or two about electrocution."

Having turned away from Tyler, Liren smirked. "Don't get too cocky, kid. Houndoom, handle this."

Tyler tried to pull himself up, but his left hand was possibly broken and the branch was loose. If he moved too fast before he was ready, he could fall and kill himself. "Clay, be careful!" There was also the burn on his chest that produced a dull pain and made it kind of hard to breathe. His shirt was smoking where the fire had burned through.

Karter glared at him. "Even now, you won't do anything. You're letting your pokemon do your dirty work. I'm not scared of you because I know you're just a scared little boy, hiding in a man's body. You can't hurt me. Not in the way you want to."

Standing up again, Chandler didn't make eye contact. "Thank you...I'm Chandler..." She was blushing slightly and a harsh bruise was peeking out of her hair line on the right of her forehead. She held her books in a sloppy mess, everything out of order. He wasn't the only one short of speech.

Liren yawned. "You've got spunk, kid. I'm not scared of you, but you do like to act tough. Your friend won't hang on much longer. If you can get past me, you can save him. Good luck."

Karter yelled insults at Drax. "Who's the chicken here? You're running away? Weakling! Come back here and fight fair and we'll see who wins then!"

Tyler held himself up with one hand still, thought it was getting harder every second. "Clay! Forget me! You have to find Karter!" He tried to pull himself up a little but the branch made a cracking noise and Tyler slid a little towards the thinner end. He cursed aloud and got as still as he could.

Dakota's eyes widened when he grabbed her hand. She kept her head down because her face was bright red. As they passed people in the hall, it was hard to ignore the whispers. "Who's she?" "Is she new?" "Why is she with them?" "Does she even go her?" It was nice to know that she was truly invisible to these people.

Once they were in chemistry and (Colton?) let go of her hand, she nodded shyly that he could sit with her. When he wasn't looking, she pinched her forearm. Nope. It was all really happening.

"Alright, class, today you need to pick groups and study your periodic table. There will be atafill in test tomorrow when you walk in the door. No more than three to a group. Go"

Kalen followed his gaze. She immediately let her hair fall back into her face. She blushed slightly. "That's from something else. I'm fine, honest. It's nice to meet you as well." She didn't know if changing the subject would undo the damage, but she hoped he'd let it go.

Kalen blushed. "No, thank you again, though... I'll be going to class now..." She shyly slid past him and walked down the hall towards her first class, History.

OOC: I promise this will pick up ^_^'' I haven't been able to get on very much and that's affecting my muse but I promise if you stick with me, the story will get better :-[

Kalen saw him coming up the bleachers and slammed her notebook closed. Shoving it in her bag, she looked up to see him right next to her. "Oh, um...hi...I was just leaving...Sorry if I bothered you..." She was seemingly tripping over her tongue. "I'm Kalen...by the way...Just in case you cared...which you probably don't...sorry."
