Dittoing a lot of people with this,
With all of the trad. boards, I think the suggestion of a small group of staff picked from the groups would be a good idea. It would be better to let the overall staff focus on other, probably more important stuff, while the understaff focus on the little things that they are cleared to fix. It seems like it would just be a timesaver for everyone.

I'm pretty sure the Erins don't know much about feline genetics, so that's why a lot of the appearances look so... weird. -

I used to get a ton of tokidoki blind boxes all the time! Now that I think on it, I might go get some more soon. They're so adorable!

I would recommend, at the very least, one post a day. If you can, ask about predetermined relationships with other characters, such as familial relationships, romantic relationships, or other things like that. It can really help you out when jumping back in.
Another thing I would suggest is to make a character you like, and get to know them! Ask questions that you would know the answer to about yourself, and answer them for your character. It really helps to discover the different aspects and ways of playing them.

I don't think so, since the clan cats wouldn't know about koi, as they don't swim in wild rivers. Koi fish are domesticated, but some other prefixes you can use are Pike-, Trout-, and Salmon-.

I'm not sure about the torture part, but warriors from warring clans have been captured in the books before.
