    [font=arial][size=8][color=black]The year is 2023, and a breakthrough in immersive gaming has been made. A new console was released in Japan in 2022 called Nerve Gear - a console that brought the user into the virtual reality, truly transporting them into another world. The first game ever released for it was Sword Art Online - an mmorpg taking place in the world of Aincrad, a giant floating castle in the sky. The castle itself has 100 stories working as the levels, with the objective being to clear the castle.
    The game turned fatally wrong, however.
    All players in the game were trapped within it, unable to escape unless they cleared the tower. If their character died, so did they.
    Despite this the game was released in America, as the news hadn't reached the area as of yet. Upon the release date thousands of gamers logged in - and never logged back out. Four Beta testers of Sword Art Online were among these people.
    These four players have been in the game for several months now, and have reached the 23rd floor. Fighting on the front lines, they solo their way through the game as they attempt to free the many people trapped in the game. But when forced to work together to continue their way up Aincrad, will they succeed? Or will they be destined to doom them all? [/fancypost]

    2. Sign-ups are not a first come, first served basis. I will select based on the quality of the writing - keep in mind that this is an advanced forum and as such I would expect reasonably advanced authors.
    3. The Beta testers will obviously be overpowered in terms of fighting against NPCs in game. However, they can still be in risk of their lives and will be. All Beta testers are level 34.
    4. All Beta testers can have one unique skill that none other has. The ones available are:
    x. Never Miss - This skill allows an archer to never miss their target, once they set their sights on them.
    x. Trap Making - The player may create traps in order to cause their opponent to become immobile.
    x. Heightened Attack - Every blow they land causes extra damage, regardless of opponent.
    *Duel Wield will be the unique skill of my character. Other players may use any weapon they desire, but may only use one handed, two handed or sword and shield. They may not equip two swords or two daggers at once.
    5. No character is invincible. They can and will become very close to death and may die unless saved.
    6. At least two paragraphs per post please. I will not accept one liners.
    7. Preferably anime pictures only, as this is based off of an anime.
    8. You may not kill another character. However, if it isn't a character played by anybody then, by all means, feel free. You will be labelled as a murderer and recognised as such however, as it shows to other players.
    9. Cursing is allowed, however within reason. I'd prefer if it wasn't in every sentence.
    10. Romance is encouraged.
    11. To even genders out, there is one girl available and two boys. However, I am up to changing this.

    One handed sword named Blaze, with an enchantment that causes the sword to flame up. When she is using dual wield her second sword is Storm, which is equipped with a lightning rune.

    Shana appears to be a rather delicate woman due to her small stature. Standing proud at 5''0, many people have tried to take advantage of this slender woman, much to their regret later on.
    Spread across this tiny frame is skin the hue of porcelain, appearing just as flawless. Small freckles dot across this skin, particularly over the bridge of her small nose. On either side of her nose are piercing blue eyes, capable of darkening to a stormy grey when angered. Her small mouth contains pearly white teeth behind full lips, the bottom of one canine slightly chipped.
    She has a black greatcoat constantly equipped, a rare drop from a wyvern on floor 19. On her back is her sword, Blaze, always poised at the ready should she need it. Her hair, a fiery shade of red that very much holds the appearance of fire, is often tied up during boss battles for fear of being caught - in such cases it is tied with a black ribbon into a tight bun.

    At first sight, Shana looks to be a rather quiet girl with not much to say. This suits her very well, as she does not wish to be known for her beta status and dual wielding skill. She has an air about her however, one that very much gives the impression that once she starts talking, you should start listening.
    Calm on the surface, you discover something much different as you crack the hard exterior of this small woman. Inside, there is a fire that burns as fierce as her fiery hair, a rage that none can tame. Her passion can be seen in the way she fights - as though she would give her life for this cause, which she would. She possesses a fierce hatred of the creator who trapped them in this game, fighting for her chance to be free.
    Around people she trusts she can appear almost maternal in nature. While appearing very stoic and unfeeling, Shana can have her softer moments - caring for any children they come across that appear lost, and never giving in to protect everyone she comes across. She's desperate to save as many men and women as she can, no matter the cost, and it shows.
    She can be rather sensitive to the suffering of others - should there be any sign of unfair treatment among the hierarchies set up she will snap, and fight desperately to rectify what has been broken. She cares far more than she lets on, but she's not afraid to fight back should she be attacked. She will never kill another player however - never. Even if it causes her own death.

    Hallo! I'm мαנσяαѕ мαѕк but you can just call me Majora, or Maj, or whatever you'd like. I'm new to the site but a reasonably advanced roleplayer and I was looking for some threads to get me started! I will warn you that I'm in an exam year however, and so I may be slow in responding at times. My apologies, but I'll try to make my posts worth it!
    I'm afraid I'm utterly pants at plotting but if we worked at it I'm sure we can figure something out :3 So on that note, let me tell you what I will and won't roleplay, yes?

    I'm a huge fan of the whole darkspawn thing moreso than the mages v. templars, but we could definitely lace that in with the darkspawn plot. Something involving the Crows would be mega cool too! Zevran is love <3

    I love DAII this is such an unpopular opinion omg you're flawless <3 I can understand some of the critique cos like y'know reused maps can get pretty tedious. But the characters varric and fenris are my life and story just kept me in so like I didn't even mind <3

    Yeah, the world itself got a bit tedious, although I just adore Kirkwall. da:i has areas you can explore for hours i mean what Inquisition does it so well eugh I want you to play it right now it's actually become my favourite DA game <3


    Love me some adventure C: It'd be cool if they met along the way? ororor they could be like. old enemies from when they were training with the grey wardens but rivalry turns into begrudging respect because I love it when that happens.     omg the mage origin was my favourite purely due to how cute he was around my Warden and then in Kirkwall he was all hardened and like "mages r bad" and I was so sad and then inQUISITION HAPPENED <3 Im so emotional over Cullen he's my baby.

We could have it that the mage character kind of has this huge grudge against the templar/ex templar cos he was the type who wouldn't do much because he was taught to believe that this was the way mages deserved to be treated but then as he grows and learns especially in kirkwall when mages are treated like poopy he's like ok maybe i was wrong. i love this this is going to be amaze <3


    Our characters can definitely be different races to add further taboo to it. Like an elf and a human getting together is generally frowned upon so that could add another layer of tension.


    The Qunaris are so good!!!! I'm playing my first play through as an elven archer who looks suspiciously like Daenerys from Game of Thrones but my next playthrough is going to be a Qunari purely because I'm in love with them. Iron Bull is best <3#ridethebull

    1. No OOC drama please! In character drama is welcomed and even encouraged, but any OOC drama and it'll result in a warning. Three warnings and you're gone.
    2. Romance is most definitely encouraged. However, fade to black during sex scenes or take it somewhere else.
    3. Cursing is allowed, but within reason.
    4. Preferably no one vlogger is more famous or popular than the other. They are at the height of their own sections of the Internet - each has their own fanbase and support groups.
    5. No Mary Sues, Gary Stus please! Your character MUST have flaws.
    6. Keep genders equal. If you see there are three forms for girls, then please choose a boy.
    7. You may only have one character. However, if this thread doesn't become all that popular you may choose to play two, should you wish.
    8. I would prefer nobody played an actual YouTuber. Faceclaims are of course accepted, but please do NOT play as that YouTuber. Similarities are unavoidable, but if your face claim is Zoella, don't allow your character to be Zoella.
    9. In the case of two forms for the same character, I will choose the one I personally felt suited the role more. It's not personal, and I don't want any complaining.
    10. If you've read the rules, put 'the vloggers' somewhere in your form.

    It was the day of VidCon, and everyone who was anyone in the YouTubing industry was there. A group of six vloggers in particular were the talk of the crowd, their own stalls and workshops booming with fans clamouring for their attention.
    These six YouTubers come together at the after party of VidCon, and soon become fast friends. Several months later and the group moved in together in the city of LA, looking forward to a lifetime of bliss with the friends they adore and the job they were made for. But, as relationships form and drama develops, will the group stay as strong as they hoped?

This website has boomed in popularity since they've moved in together, and is occasionally a cause for drama when somebody posts something a bit too personal.

    The Artist is seldom found without a pencil in their hand. Passionate and a genius with a brush, the Artist can paint pictures that could make the coldest of hearts melt. Often you can find them curled up in front of the fireplace, sketchpad on their lap and pencil in their hand. Occasionally you can see them create beautiful murals on the walls of the flat, always a pleasure to behold.

    The Musician is practically a prodigy with anything instrumental - from a guitar to piano to drums, the Musician can play it all. With the voice of an angel, they can often be found in their bedroom, jamming to their favourite song on their iPod. If there is anything you need to know about the latest tunes, they're the person to go to.

    The Director is a whiz with a camera, capable of making short movies and videos that could astound the most talented of movie makers. A fan of capturing slow motion videos and shots of people when nobody is looking, they are never seen without a camera or recorder in their hand. Their bedroom wall is a galaxy of photos and camera equipment, many of which involving the group.
