Tornleaf gasped incredulously. “Right!” He breathed, emerging from the den. “Now, we have a big decision. Should we chase off the badger first, or look for Blossompaw?“ he pondered worriedly.

Tornleaf followed as fast as he could, tripping on a branch. Quickly, he regained his balance and padded after Roseblood as fast as he could. He spotted Roseblood licking the lifeless apprentice. “She didn't make it,” he said somberly, lowering his head. “What a shame,”

Tornleaf promptly followed, hauling his sagging spirits with him. They seemed to put a huge burden on him as Tornleaf attempted to keep up with Roseblood, sometimes falling way behind and then darting forward in a sudden burst of speed.

Tornleaf couldn't watch this. “I'm gonna go hunt,” he mused, slowly padding away while deep in thought. When he reached the forest, he sat motionlessly, obscured by a large fern. His spirits continued to undermine. “What a shame. I never really got to know Blossompaw. If only someone had saved her,” Tornleaf thought as he resumed his alert watch for prey through clouding eyes.

(Sorry for being so late D:)
    Name: Mintkit (Mintpaw/Mintmist)
    Gender: she-cat
    Age: 4 moons
Appearence: Mintkit has a goldenrod pelt with one white hind paw, right to be precise. Her fur is short and corse, and her tail is slender and not puffy. Mintkit's eyes are a light minty green.
Personality: Outgoing, bubbly, silly, exaggerates a lot, a big dreamer
    Mother: Meadowgrass
    Father: Foxtail

Tornleaf sat behind the bush, becoming sad and impatient. He lashed his tail in exasperation towards his current situation. Prey was taking forever to pass by him and an apprentice was found dead. “And by the time something DOES go by, I'm probably gonna miss it 'cause I'll be all sidetracked thinking about Blossompaw!" He thought aloud, with pure irritability seeping in on his edgy words, scaring away some mice and a sparrow, which Tornleaf had no idea were there. But they knew he was there by his loud, uneven, impatient stomps when Tornleaf had arrived in the forest. But he didn't want to return so hostile back to a grieving clan that, to put a cherry on top, was pretty small. So he cooled off behind his favorite fern. “Deep breaths.” Tornleaf told himself.

Tornleaf has a decision to make. To think cognitively or to think emotionally. He had no motivation whatsoever to kill anything or to look at anything dead that was once alive. But his clan depended on his hunting skill. Tornleaf allowed a tear to trickle down his face as he scanned the forest halfheartedly for prey. Waiting was the worst part. The long, annoying, monotonous wait. Tornleaf decided to think cognitively and selflessly resume to search for prey. His eyelids gradually drooped as Tornleaf opened his jaw to yawn. It had been a long day for him, savagely battling a badger, spending some time in the medic den, looking for Blossompaw, finding she was dead, waiting for prey to hunt, then finding there was none available at the moment. Tornleaf heaved a long sigh of negative feelings as he gradually lifted his old, tired body from the dirt, emerging sluggishly from the fern. Tornleaf padded back to camp, wishing the day would just end. Salty tears descended from his intense violet eyes and produced dark circles on the forest floor. Tornleaf put his short tail between his hind legs as he spotted Roseblood gazing at Blossompaw's deceased body. He came closer, taking a seat on some grass. “Aye, she was too young, but I guess we'll just have to accept it as reality,” Tornleaf mewed solemnly, his voice becoming shaky.

I'll sign up for it! :D
    Name: Hollystripe
    Gender: She-cat
    Age: 34 moons
    Rank: Warrior
Appearence: Hollystripe's pelt is a light shade of ginger. She has white rings around her eyes, ankles, and wrists. Her pelt is somewhat long and very soft. Her ears are short and rounded, but she can still hear very well. (Duh it's a cat).
Personality: Can be overly nice/sympathetic, tries her best to be helpful, bubbly, outgoing.
    Siblings: Riversong and Moonscar
    Parents: Goldenlight and Berryfur
    Backstory: Nothing exciting

My OC Cryptictail might make a nice mentor for Copperkit. Cryptictail is a calm, collected warrior who is serious when it comes to something potentially threatening or following through on something that could bring her clan higher. Cryptictail is protective of her clan and anyone she is close with, but prior to being her acquaintance, she appears shy, but quickly breaks free from it once she gets to know them. If its a smaller cat than she is the process of them gaining her trust usually passes faster.

Rustwing gazed out on the tranquil forest. But he knew with this “unknown group“, the peacefulness could be abruptly pierced by the wrath of war. He slithered along without a sound, keeping a good eye out for prey. His ear twitched as he heard a sparrow hopping along under a huge, shady tree. Rustwing followed the sound of rustling leaves, approaching the small, brown bird. It swiftly cocked its head towards the ginger tom coming closer to it. The petite bird quickly ascended into the air, but Rustwing was hot on its heels. He leaped after it, swinging his paws towards the fleeing sparrow. Quick as a flash, Rustwing climbed an old tree stump. But he was off as soon as he was on, lunging towards the sparrow. It happened to be a sparrow that had just been liberated from its parents, so it lacked stamina for flying. It struggled to keep airborne, just out of Rustwing's reach. Rustwing became frustrated and pursued it with anger. He lashed at the panicking bird, penetrating its wing with a sharp claw. It continued to attempt to fly amateurly and lopsided, an exasperated cat after it. Rustwing lunged forward once more and he and the sparrow plummeted to thr forest floor. It wasn't a huge fall, if you could call it a fall. Rustwing held the sparrow in his jaws, dusting himself off slightly. He contently sauntered the short way back to camp, dropping the dead bird in the fresh kill pile.

OOC: I was thinking the same thing. We're pretty much just hunting and starting brief conversations. Both an attack or a prophecy would be exciting, but it would be great if Shellpaw would come back.
IC: “Sure, it's always nice to have a nice, full fresh-kill pile,” Tornleaf replied coolly.

Grayheart lifted up her head from the fern. She remained close to it, waiting for any other prey to pass by. She watched intently on what she could see through a single eye. The sharp fangs of bitter cold nipped at Grayheart's ears and paws. She shivered slightly and swished her tail. “Prey is so scarce in leafbare, but the good thing is you feel really good when you finally catch something and know you are truly contributing to your clan,” Grayheart breathed optimistically, resuming her scanning of barren whiteness, with a few of her clanmates suffering the same fate of being out hunting in leafbare. The cold temperatures were really starting to bother Grayheart as she sat nearly motionless under the fern. She searched thoroughly through a patch of land, but saw merely bare trees, snow, and a few apprentices. Subconsciously digging her claws into the snow and dirt, Grayheart heaved a long, begrudging sigh. The brown and white mixed under her paw and a strange concoction formed. But it was an insignificant, sloppily-made mix of snow and dirt made by a bored she-cat attempting to hunt in leafbare.

“All 3 of us already caught something, should we go back or keep hunting?” Grayheart inquired, lifting herself off her haunches. She padded over to the river to get a drink, where she spotted Darkpelt. A puzzled look crossed her gentle face. “Was that you? I heard a huge splash,” she mewed.
