An Abyssinian cat appeared to be blinking a sleepy haze from his eyes as he stumbled forward, squinting. "And who are you?" he managed to mutter before shaking his head. The gears in his brain rattled before they began to turn and process the situation. "Oh! You're one of those quest-seekers, aren't you? Okay."
"Bring me five fully-grown Fireferra, and I'll make it worth your while."
-
This was the second time someone had tread into his abode and asked for some sort of quest. He wasn't quite sure what was happening, and his grasp of why he was here was even more foggy, but the feline supposed he should give them what they wanted. If nothing else, Breakingpoint was a people-pleasing showman at heart.
"Give me one female and one male pyren," he rasped, echoing the minimalist way of speaking he sensed in the human. There was no time to question how they could communicate.
-
It was fortunate for Moonpaw that Breakingpoint was a very patient man- even if the only reason he could wait for so long was because he could promptly forget that he was waiting for anything in the first place. "Hey, wanna do something for me?" the Abyssinian continued before a reply registered. "You would make my day if you could make me a poem with 15 lines. I'm feeling artsy."
-
An Abyssinian suddenly plummeted from the heavens, or perhaps just leapt down from a nearby tree branch. It landed in a bracing crouch before rising slowly and casting a glance at the she before him. Sagetail, was it? It was a pleasant name, he thought. The Tom paused as he struggled to remember his own alias, years of knowledge tucked away and scrambled in his mind. He would likely remember at a later date.
"Hello." His simple utterance gave no indication wether he had been the one summoned or not, but perhaps his inquisitive look did. Breakingpoint had come to expects requests for a quest of his in return for some sort of reward.
-
"A quest, hmm?" A feline emerged from the shadows with a stiff gait that suggested he once walked with strength in the past, and therefore had no need for agility or grace. Now, however, it just made him clumsier than most.
He couldn't recall why it was that he gave quests to anyone, but it gave him a sense of purpose. It was almost as if this was a job he had been born to do. "Here's one, if you want it: Bring me one female and one male pyren- Oh! Fully-grown, too. The young ones like to nip at my tail."
-
[justify]A low chuckle bubbled from his belly. It was a noise strengthened by gusto. There was something about her that he appreciated, but he couldn't pin down the name for it. With a breath, he began. "If it's a quest you seek: a quest you shall receive."
"Bring me two fully-grown creatures that hatched from an egg, and I'll give you something cool from my personal collection."
He quite liked the young critters in his collection, but he would be willing to part with one if it meant his incubators would have more variety.
-
He gave the two Fenniflies an appraising look. They seemed like healthy adults- just what he was looking for. "Those two are perfect. Send them over to my account, and I can give you your reward."
-
A grin lit up his handsome features and he vanished for a few moments. Breakingpoint was back in a few heartbeats, having just sent over the reward. His first transaction had gone well, drawing a purr from him. "Pleasure doing business with you. Come again soon, eh?"
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]Ooh, this one was brave. Her expression, her stance, and her tone of voice would make the former strongman proud, if only he could remember who he used to be. The unaware Abyssinian trotted forth, quirking an invisible eyebrow. "I'll reward you if you're willing to work hard to accomplish your quests." That was a good lesson to be reinforcing, right? "If you could fetch me five full-grown plants, please, I'll give you something nice."

[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]The great and wonderful Breakingpoint suddenly appeared. "Sure thing! I'll reward you if you fetch me one adult, female pyren that is purple and one adult, male pyren that is green," the feline purred cheerfully.
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"My stars!" was the first thought that went through Breakingpoints's mind upon seeing a glittering pelt. He'd never seen anything quite like it! If he thought about it, such a pelt would make a marvelous rug... It was a good thing he didn't thing about it, or much else besides coming up with errands for others to run. Instead, the feline dipped his head in greeting before speaking in a deep voice. "For a unique guest to this place, I will grant a unique quest:
Could you bring me one adult Saketorra with a blue head, another with a pink or purple head, and another with an orange head?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify][It would make it a bit easier for me to keep tracks of things if there's one quest per thread. If you'd like, I think you can make another thread to ask for another quest. I've seen people with two quest threads going at once. :3]
A tall, muscular feline strutted on over with the confidence of a king. "Hey, there. I got a quest for ya, if you'll take it. Could you bring me four fully-grown Fireferra? Two males and two females, please. I'll reward you handsomely if you do."

[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"Hello. Are you looking for a quest?" a tom asked curiously. "I have a couple of errands that need to be done. If you help me out, I can give you a reward."
[/fancypost]
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"Those are lovely Snowferra, but I'm afraid I need Fireferra. They do sound pretty similar, don't they? Fireferras look a little more like lynxes, as opposed to Snowferra, which look a little more like snow leopards."
"If you'd like, I could also give you another quest you could do instead."
[/fancypost]
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]His head bobbed in a nod. "Of course." The feline paused for a couple of heartbeats as he thought of an alternative quest. "Would you be willing to bring me one fully-grown Pytheran, as well as make a 500-word oneshot in the clan board of your choice?"
[/fancypost]
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"You see, I have a cousin who loves tending remodeling terrariums, but I may have accidentally destroyed part of one. I want to apologize and give him a few things to try to make up for my mistake, but I don't have the time to find them. Do you think you could bring me four fully-grown plants and a Pytheran? I promise I'll give you a reward to show my gratitude."

[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]The muscular cat grinned cheerfully. "No worries! There's plenty of things to do here in-" Wait, where were they? He blinked a few times, casting a glance at their surroundings. Why was he here? His poor memory couldn't recall. "Ah, where was I? Oh, yes! A quest."
"Could you bring me four snowferras colored with a gradient?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"Many thanks, kind stranger. I look forward to seeing you soon!"
[/fancypost]
-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"Thank you. See you soon!" he meowed out after her, but the she with the red triangle under her eye was already long gone.

-
[fancypost borderwidth=0pt][justify]"What's this? A guest! And he brings tokens!" The broad feline was uttering to himself as he approached the visitor. "Welcome to the realm of Dragon and Foxes. Hw many tokens do you wish to trade in, and what would you like?"
