Joseph turned his head to look again at the shecat who had now followed up over to the leader. "Do I know you?" he asked curiously. His eyes gazed over the feminine face of the cat standing before him, but recognition he had not. "Did you know my mother?" Joseph asked, hoping he might finally find some answers.
Northernstar watched on, his mouth almost dropping. But of course a cat of prime and policy such as him would never let his emotions show so openly. Instead he took on an expression of simple curiosity. Why was Dragonrose making such a scene?

Goldenheart heard the faint whisper from the back of his den and quickly washed his paws of the sweet smelling herbs he had been preparing. After licking his paws dry, he padded over to the entrance where Tigerfang stood, looking quite worried. "What can I do for you?" he asked, a smile appearing on his face in an effort to comfort the young tom.

The scent on the air was so pungent to Blackwidow's scent glands as she padded through the thick copses of pine trees. The trees sheltered her from the thick beams of sun that would have coated her back with light had the branches not protected her. Shadowclan was known to be a rather cold and dismal place but her senses showed her the beauty of the place. Blackwidow had not spent such a wonderful morning since she had forsaken her mother and rejoined the clan she was born in. She hadn't seen her father in moons but she assumed he was visiting their mother. Why should he love such an evil shecat? The kind that would murder her own daughters...her own flesh and blood! It all seemed so wrong. But the past was behind her and she could now enjoy the fresh air and the open feeling of escape.

umm...lol...you meant that for serenade, right? xD
When i first met you I was reminded of my favorite Japanese anime Howls Moving Castle. ^ ^

Concern fluttered over the medicine cat's eyes as he examined the kit, lifting her paw with his own and checking her reflexes. "She's very unbalanced, as you can see. I fear she will fight as a warrior with much difficulty and never complete many of the tasks set before her. Not to mention that she has fewer claws than most cats. I would say that she could defend herself against most things, though," Goldenheart meowed, lifting his head to Tigerfang with a hopeful expression.
"No doubt she's still a wonderful addition to Thunderclan, regardless of her disablility. Her strength might lie in nursery-work rather than in clan defense. And of course she's still fit for patroling," he added, more cheerfully now. Those were definitely tasks that would help support the clan.
He hoped Tigerfang would still be proud of his daughter even if she couldn't do all the same things other kits could. Goldenheart would be proud of his daughter no matter what, he was sure of that, if he indeed had a daughter. But of course the gender of his own kits would not be known until they were kitted.

"You speak in riddles, woman," Joseph growled, a little frustratedly. "A cat that shares your breaths...?" he meowed aloud, hoping it might make more sense after that. Alas, it still confused him that this shecat she spoke of was a friend. "Is she still..." Joseph gulped. "...living?"

It seemed kind of odd to her, the stillness of the woods. Besides the breeze, she heard nor saw a sound. She grew frightened, hoping to at least hear a bird chirping but not a sound came. Then she heard it...the rustling in the bushes. Was it just her imagination or were two eyes staring out from the cover of the maple tree?

When I first met you, it felt so official and coorporate and stuff since you had that trademark on your name. I didn't notice that you'd photoshopped it all in until a little later. xD *feels gulible*

Joseph looked down with sympathy at the shecat showing shame before him. It seemed so unreal that this creature should be the one who brought him into this world. "Well then, I'm your son Joseph," he meowed to her, bending his head down so, forcing her to look into his big blue eyes. "I don't hold a grudge against you for whatever you did. You must have had your reason. But I've come to claim my heritage, mother," Joseph meowed, hardly able to choke out the word "mother". He had never had one and hadn't imagined ever having one. But now she sad before him with tears in her eyes, sorrowful that she didn't raise him up. It warmed his heart to see such devotion even if she had at one time forsaken him.
-
Blackwidow stared at him, a bit surprised, but also a bit horrified. What on earth was the strange tom in front of her singing about? It scared her to see the looming figure in front of her but...he seemed so charming. The look in his eyes seemed friendly and she soon grew more and more trusting as they gazed at each other.

Goldenheart padded into his den, his eyes angled toward the ground. He was thinking about where his apprentice might be when he spotted Rosepelt, bleeding in the center of the room. "Rosepelt! What happened to you?" Goldenheart asked, his expression that of horror.
-
"Not long at all, darling," Greengaze meowed, brushing her muzzle against his. "Only a few moons, I'm sure." She smiled and then her body shivered a bit at the cold breeze that had just spilled into the little warriors den and chilled her through. "It sure is getting colder as leafbare approaches," she meowed, her gaze on the open doorway where the wind had approached. "Do you want to settle down and rest? It appears to be quite dark out," Greengaze offered to Windtide.

"Through my experience in the wilderness, I have grown in great wisdom, Mother. The young will do foolish things and regret them later, but as long as the sun rises on them, they can still learn from their mistakes. I was not a mistake...was I?" Joseph asked, stuttering a bit on that last sentence he spoke. He had waited all his life for this moment: to finally meet the shecat that gave birth to him and to discover his true home. Why did he feel so rejected?
-
Blackwidow stopped for a minute, wondering if it was right for her to say her own name to a stranger. After finally making her decision she responded in turn. "Blackwidow," she meowed, her voice low and husky but her face sweet and trusting.

I nominate... BLACKMAGIC!
She killed Starclan believer Cardinaltalon in cold blooded murder and threatened to have the queen's kits ripped to pieces. She sent her Nightclan believing daughter to kill her Starclan believing daughter...and she's sending four kits out into the clans to spread Nightclan in all it's "glory" :P Fazedpelt is murdering cats for her sake... :-/

Hahaha! *points and laughs* jk...
Well, I'm glad that fooled someone... you've made my day, Greeny!
I glad!
I thought you were the 'Cool-Admin' when I first joined.
Of course I realized alot of the Admins are cool, but you were the first one that I noticed [i]was/i]. :P
I get so many people who are confused by that.
Actually, in original Latin, Serenade or rather "Serenamus" was a masculine-only word, meaning that it was no less manly then the word 'Male'.
That's so sweet! Actually...I was the friendly admin. ;)
And that's cool that serenade was a masculine word. I wish more men would serenade to women. Don't be so shy, guys! xD ^ ^

OOC: I'm terribly sorry I'm so late. I shall do Blizzardkit's apprentice ceremony and Sparklepaw's warrior ceremony. If there are any that were also waiting in line that I forgot, please let me know in an OOC post. ;) Also, for Sparklepaw's warrior name, I was considering Sparklespirit. What do you think?
Northernstar headed uphill through the brush that ran alongside the river and over to the highrock where he perched himself upon it. His paws grew stiff and his tail twitched as he prepared to give the proper speech to the clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join underneath the highrock for a clan meeting," Northernstar yowled as loud as he could. When he saw a sufficient crowd gathered below him, he began speaking again. "By naming apprentices, we show that Riverclan will survive and remain strong. Blizzardkit, please step forward to receive your apprentice name."

You play piano?? ^ ^ You know, that's a talent that really turns a lot of girls on. Ability to play an instrument. *hint to all you guys who are reading this thread* xD
Well, people will do anything for money these days what with the financial crisis and all. Heck, that job doesn't sound half bad. If only guys cared about girls singing to them. xD I don't mean to brag either but I got some mean singing and piano playin' skeelz. ;)

Northernstar glaced up at Doublekit from the fish he was eating and then pushed away the leftovers and stood on four paws. "Greetings, Doublekit," Northernstar meowed rather sternly. "I've been waiting for you to come see me. I understand that you were supposed to become an apprentice with your sister but I do believe she has earned this right, don't you agree?" he asked, his tone cool and passive.
-
Goldenheart padded through to Yewberry, looking sympathetically at the shecat. "Thanks, Wishingpaw. She definitely needed the attention," Goldenheart meowed, his tone stiff and serious this time.
