It had been a long night. A long one, too. Meekly, the kitten scrambled up a long beach, not much in sand. There was a forest nearby, which she dared not to enter. With dawn light only yet to reach it's peak on the dark, winter sky, it felt unreasonable to enter something so dark, something that she could get lost in so easily. A frown forming on her muzzle, the blonde carried on. Her paws were cracked, on fire with pain. A long journey for a being that was as young as she was. Swallowing nervously, Harleen looked around again, blue eyes deep with fear. Whatever this place was, it was scaring her. Such a large piece of lang couldn't be deserted. It was logical to assume some forms of beings lived on, somewhere. Only, where? So far, this place seemed completely empty. However, a stale scent hang in the air. She wasn't near enough stupid not to notice it. Maybe just from the day before it was, but what being it was? Was it dangerous? Life-threatening, perhaps?

Many questions arose in the young kitten's mind, none to which she could find an answer to. "Come on Harls, we both know we can't go on like this." She eventually meowed to herself, voice weak and raspy due to the amount of time it was unused. Hardly making progress anymore, feeling herself ready to collapse, she sat down, flicking her tail in annoyance. "Only a moment... I just need a little rest." She promised herself within a whisper, looking around. If resting was to happen, then she'd need to find some sort of a hiding place. Otherwise, she'd be too exposed to attacks. Leaving tiny pawprints behind, she went ahead to slip under a piece of greenery on the edge of the woods. It was a shrub of some sort, she couldn't precisely tell what kind, not interested quite as much on plants as she could be. A satchel was neatly set to her side, filled with items she collected on the way.

During the cold season, it brought a little bit of warmth. Puffing out her coat to preserve some body heat, she curled up next to the somewhat large bag, snuggling far enough to make herself hardly visible. It was still dark, so unless something crossed her prints, it wouldn't be too easy to find her. And anyway, she'll keep moving after she rested a tiny bit, so time was on her side. By the looks of things, it wouldn't be long before the prints were only a memory, until waves swallow and hide them away from the rest of the world. Nobody had to know about her existence, not about her presence, not about her. Warm eyes watching the beach from under the branches, looking for any sort of movement nearby, she watched the dark sea flick back and forth, lulling her to sleep.

Cursing under her breath, the youthful being tried to sneak deeper under the bush, but God forbid it worked. Probably only made her ramp stick out from the other side. So she was correct after all. About the island having it's people. Through narrowed eyes, the blonde cleared her throat a little. Showing fear now would be a death sentence, at the most. However, the dog didn't seem hostile at all. Who knew, though? Maybe he'll change his mind. She was much smaller, weaker. In combat, there would be no chance for her. Though he seemed young, too. Maybe there was hope. She was slim, therefore could reach high enough speed to escape if ever necessary. If that would be the case, she'd have to leave the satchel, which was worth a lot to her. Maybe more than actually going ahead. Standing up from her cover and shaking out her fur, she nodded, tightly taking the satchel into her maw and applying it back around her neck.

"I'm fine, thank you... I didn't mean to trespass, sorry." She meowed slowly, inching out of the bush to stand before the canine. Eyeing him carefully, the kitten offered a weak smile. "I can get back on my way, if you want me to leave." She added, hoping that he wouldn't take her as someone that might threaten him. "Do you live here alone? Wouldn't you get lonely? It's a big island, from what I saw so far." She asked, making sure to relax her muscles, not to come off as nervous, or expectant of an assault. That may just as well provoke him to do so. "I'm Harleen by the way. Who are you?" The introduction was missing a lot of points, but unfortunately, she had yet to learn much about herself, starting from the point of growing up alone, therefore not being able to put her trusts into what she'd heard from other people about her person. Not particularly minding the slight problem, either, she patiently awaited a response, making sure her fur lay flat. It was ruffled and coated in mud, making it slightly difficult to see anyways.

Tired from the short period of time she could spend on actual sleep, she blinked a few times, fighting to keep her eyes open.

Us. So there were more of them, as she'd assumed earlier. Made enough sense for her. The thick-furred kitten looked down for a moment in contemplation, making sure to think of all consequences of every action she could perform now. The choice was simple, and her body begged her to follow wherever the group had settled for their camp, get her energy back, to be able to sleep for the first time in days without having to worry about her safety. "An entire group... Hmm. I'd be glad to stay, for as long as you'd have me. I... I don't want to be a bargain." She promised, voice growing softer than before as she concluded her sentence. After he mentioned her tiredness, she shrugged softly, believing to be used to it by now. "I'm going to be okay. It's nice to meet Gin. I should get going, but I guess I will need my strengths up, wouldn't I?" She finally sighed, lifting herself up with a soft grunt. "So, what's this place called? I've never heard of it before." She meowed, stumbling a few steps ahead. Taking the path inch by inch, she paused for a few seconds every other step, struggling to lift herself above the snow, in which she sank, but determined to make it back to Gin's lair, or whatever they may call it.

Fur prickling with unease at the newcomer, Harleen took a deep breath to remain calm. Her pupils widened slightly at the figure of the much larger creature. Unlike Gin, he didn't seem to be young, in fact by the looks of things, he was actually an adult. "Thank you." The kitten meowed as politely as she could master. So far, everyone seemed to be friendly enough. No-one looked like they were about to attack, either, and that definitely was a plus, considering earlier experience. "I'm not sure if I'll be staying for a long time. I got someone to search for. I'm not sure exactly how I got here either. I just need to regain my strength." The kitten meowed, loosing her footing, swaying on her paws, somehow managing not to fall over completely. "TidalClan? Don't answer if you don't want to, but how does that exactly work? I don't mean to be rude... it's just, I never met any group with such a name." She meowed, changing the subjects. She'd rather question them, than having them sniffle around her. Sometimes it was just better not to reveal much personal information all at once.

Blinking up at the new stranger, feeling strange to attract so much attention, she nodded, offering a lopsided smile, uncertainty clear in her expression. "I see. Like a family would, right? Only I'd guess you're not all related." She meowed, mostly to herself, nodding slowly. The slightly nerdy female looked around again. "I don't think I caught the names of you two. I'm Harleen." She introduced herself, forgetting momentarily about doing so. As they told her more, the TidalClan gals grew more and more interesting. Or she was only too curious, perhaps. Whatever it was, it drove her to the edge of despair to know as much as possible. "What are the ranks for? What are ranks, to begin with anyways?" She murmured, whiskers quivering in wonder.

New to the system as she was, the youthful kitten padded forth to see what exactly was going on. Seeing the group, she quietly sat down towards the edge of the crowd. She didn't know what was going on, what rank the two females up the front were, or the purpose of the exercise, but she enjoyed learning and was eager to test her knowledge on the topic. Taking that one of the females was holding a bark, she could easily guess that it had something to do with medicine. A step closer to getting to know the customs of the Clan. The blonde flicked her tail around her paws and stared at the medic, missing the question, she was unable to process what she was supposed to do, and so remained silent. She might have called out the wrong answer, embarrass herself, or only shoot in the dark and hope to get something right. Harleen had limited knowledge of herbs, but was curious to see what else this day may teach her. Finally getting some rest, she smiled at the familiar figure of one of the females up the front; one that was present during her joining.

Recognizing Gin from her own joining, the blonde kitten stumbled over. She wasn't exactly the social type, having no clue what a meet and greet was in the first place. It sounded innocent enough, and gave a rough idea of what the activity would be, how to act during that though was a mystery. As always walking with her satchel, Harleen cocked her head, wondering if she should introduce herself again in case the pup forgot. She was easy to forget, not being a very memorable being. That was maybe a subject to change though, somewhat in the future. At least she hoped. It felt odd, out of place in the Clan so far. She barely knew anyone, and it was hard to get into the midst of things. "Hi..." She meowed iddly, not knowing what to say, being more social awkward than usual.

Settling as comfortably as it would be possible, ears pricked, the kitten awaited for the other female to pick her own herb. This sounded interesting, like some kind of a game for the Clan. An entertainment source, perhaps? Whiskers quivering, she pressed her paws against her satchel, laying at her feet, glancing down at it from time to time just to make sure it was still there, despite feeling it's touch on her paws. Overprotective of the item, she reluctantly let her gaze up to Pastel again, looking around for a moment longer to see who was present, and if she could remember some faces.

So he did remember her overall. Looked excited to see her, too, which she felt unfamiliar with. Having been alone most of the time, it was hard to see anyone who might just be excited to see her, especially due to a demeanor of social awkwardness, not being good with people, of any kind, gender and age. Straightening herself up, Harleen nodded, smiling ever so slightly. "I'm fine, thanks. Feels like I slept for over a moon. How are you feeling?" She asked, believing it to be a conversation path worth of following. Sitting herself down close to the growing group, yet keeping her distance from the other participants she didn't recognize, or never got afflicted with before. Instead, she only eyed them, to remember their faces, wondering whether they held some special place of respect within the ranks of TidalClan. She'd been told about them, but she never understood what they were. Not all of them, anyways.

"Thank you." Harleen mumbled, smiling meekly. She didn't know what else to do, supposing that since they were being friendly with her, she should be too, however that was ought to work. They were offering her a lot, and she felt bad for not being able to give anything to them. There was always time for that later though. She could make something for them, or give support through helping with everyday activities that kept them going.

The small female walked over to the group, flicking her ears curiously. She didn't possess any powers, but if it ever happened that she earned some, sure this could come in handy? Slipping to the edge of the clearing, the kitten frowned. Remaining out of the training area, not to disturb the training in case room was necessary. She knew nothing of powers, seeing that she first heard of them around in TidalClan, therefore didn't know what to expect. What if it was needed to have room around you for some sort of movement? Or maybe it required only mental concentration. Whatever it was, she hoped that she could learn more soon enough, the prospect causing her pupils to widen ever so slightly. They looked like they were in pain, making the female squirm with fear. There was still time until she'd have to fight battles. From what she heard, she was too young still to participate in these kind of events. She supposed that was fair enough, although it would be nice to somehow pay the Clan back for acting so kindly with her.

Hoping not to be spotted, thinking initially that she'd get into trouble if she did, the kitten proceeded to sink deeper into her cover, like she did on her first day here. Narrowing her blue eyes, she cocked her head slightly. Whatever was happening, it didn't look too good. These were warriors though, and she trusted that sooner or later they'll find a way to block the pain. Where it came from, and how it happened to struck them was a mystery, but that was probably only part of some power. Didn't take a lot of thought to figure those could easily harm her. The better to be here.

The kitten padded over with a curious glint in her eye. Stumbling ever so slightly, she eyed the snow leopard, never standing before such a creature before. "Welcome, I suppose. I'm Harleen." The socially-awkward female piped, flicking her tail in greeting. It was better to make some friends, even if getting to that may take quite a bit of her time. She wasn't a peoples' person, making the goal harder to achieve.

Harleen had been exploring the camp further, having only seen so little of the large area. It wasn't hard to miss the commotion further down the way. Furrowing her nonexistent brows, she began to slowly trot in the direction. Somebody already had taken care of it by now, most likely, but since that wasn't a certainty, she still was willing to see what had happened. She never was in this part of the place before, making her steps a little slower and her pelt to prickle with unease to the unknown. As expected, a small crowd had arrived before her, leaning over the body of who she recognized to the apothecary, Miami was her name, wasn't it? Seeking her memory to find the details of the girl's identity. She had mentioned some Lady, but she didn't know who that was.

She couldn't be much of a help, but still wanted to be some use to the ones around. Trembling slightly, she stepped forward, frowning in confusion. The kitten looked at the she-wolf that had been the last to speak, blinking up at the larger canine. "What happened?" She asked quietly, aiming the question at anyone that would be willing to answer. Being late for whatever happened, she still wore a questioning look on her maw.

"Nice to meet you." The kitten meowed, titling her head off to the side at the newcomer. He appeared to have the same discomfort in large crowds as she did, making her smile a little. At least she knew she wasn't alone in this. Perhaps there was still a chance for her. "Hope ya like it here." A small amount of her accent dripping through her voice, one that she was trying to hide, making her clear her throat a little and look away.
