I practice a lot. Hunting is never boring. An impressed look involuntarily shone in Fablestory's eyes before she caught herself looking the way she did and immediately wiped the expression off of herself. If he was telling the truth, then he was better than she had been in her apprentice days. She had never found herself voluntarily practicing anything. It had only been on her mentor's pushing that she had done everything.

Velocitypaw's next answer made it much easier for her to look the way she wanted, until she caught the last part. I'm the mouse-brain who can't focus long enough to learn one move. This tom certainly was blunt. From the tone that he had used and the expression on his face, she doubted that he was lying and was just being overly-modest, like some cats did.

It took her by surprise when the tom turned around to direct a question at her. Why are you asking me all this? I'm not really worth the time.

The brown tabby sat in place for several heartbeats, taking her time to respond and playing with her choices of words. Finally, she meowed, "It's this mentoring system of WindClan I'm not happy with. Do you have any idea how many apprentices currently have no mentor? I just wanted to know what you know. Perhaps..." she paused, struggling inwardly with herself to say the next part, "I would be able to help you with some stuff. It makes me feel sick to see all of these mentorless apprentices spending their days off lying in the sun. It would make me feel better if I could just teach a little."

Eternitypaw turned back to glance at Eleemosynarykit, eyes amused. "Ten million times. Obviously," she meowed. "No, I'm just kidding. But quite a few times, at least." She personally didn't like Halftail as much as the other she-kit did, and whenever she went to the elder's den, she found herself always shying away from him and going to the more affable of the elders. After all, they weren't always as grumpy and were more easily to forgive if one brought them a slightly skinnier piece of prey. But if Eleemosynarykit could stand him, perhaps he couldn't be too bad. The she-cat made a mental note to speak with him a little more and try to befriend him.

The apprentice breathed a deep sigh as they left the nursery, taking in the scent of fresh air and the sun. "I was thinking, perhaps we could play hide and seek," she suggested. "Maybe.. in the territory? It doesn't have to be far off in the territory, either. Close by would work perfectly fine." She didn't suggest rule breaks like that often, but in her opinion, it should have been fine as long as neither of them ran into danger.

I don't think we should begin roleplaying without Finn, either. Maybe we can just plan some stuff out and wait for Finn to come back and add some things in later as he sees fit. I don't really care who you would end up choosing to be Summerpaw's mate. xD. Either Miragepaw or Delusionpaw would be equally good in my opinion.

Or, on second thought, perhaps we don't even need a love triangle. We could just have them get mixed feelings where sometimes they like each and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they think they're in love, but other times they don't feel anything.

    [ Yep, Fable's obviously having a great time. :3 ]

Fablestory leapt back, suddenly startled as Velocitypaw burst into the air, seeming to release all the energy that had been held back in those last few moments of stillness and proper behavior. The she-cat sat in place silently, stiffly, watching as the chocolate tabby spun around her in a blur. Her eyes were narrowed slightly and her head placed straight ahead, not even attempting to keep up with the circle that was being run around her.

Such an interesting way of showing delight. A normal cat surely would have just thanked her, knowing that she would not appreciate such immature acts. But she should have known that there no such thing as normal when she was with a cat like Velocitypaw. He would have quite a bit to learn with her. She couldn't be tolerating any more of this hyperness if she were to keep her sanity, after all. I will morph this apprentice into the proper cat, she thought to herself in determination.

As he finally came to a halt, the brown tabby stood up again, shaking her pelt as if to clear off any dust that had gathered on her pelt during his not-so-brief-feeling moment of euphoria. Then she gazed down at him again, her eyes sparking with irritation.

"Done now? I'm glad. That took a really long time. Unacceptable. This will not happen again in the future, I certainly hope. Anyways, let us begin now, first with hunting then fighting. Show me what you can do. Now." Her tone was commanding, as if she expected him to comply without question.

Eveningsky twitched his ears, noting Lunatus's heavy accent. None of the cats he'd ever heard around here, even at the Gatherings, spoke the way she did. She must have come from afar. I bet she's been traveling for quite awhile. That would explain her matted appearance, the brown tabby thought silently to himself.

So, my question is, surely you have enough territory to go around, yes? Unless - you wouldn't happen to be a tribe would you?

The warrior gazed at the tortie silently for a moment without speaking, sizing her down once more and playing with words in his mind. "Enough territory or not is irrelevant," Eveningsky rasped, taking a step forward towards her, as if back her away from it. "But the point is, this is our territory, our land. You are not to be here unless you have a good reason, and even then you are to be under guard the entire time you are here." He spoke firmly, quite sure of himself, but not necessarily in a hostile manner.

The tom then paused slightly, waiting to gauge her reaction. He had met many loners from near and far before - some had even begged him to stay before, occassioanlly going as far as to fall to his feet.

"And to answer your question, no, this is not a tribe. This is Clan territory, ShadowClan territory. Oh yes, and my name is Eveningsky." Maybe she had been from a Tribe. There were quite a few that he knew of - the Tribe of Burning Eclipse, the Tribe of Rushing Water, and several others that were more minor ones.

    I'm applying too! ^^ Done.

    Name: nemesis~

Kit name: Orbitalkit - Orbitalpaw - Orbitalpath

    Kit looks:

Orbitalkit is quite the handsome young tomkit and has the type of appearance that generally sends other she-cats in his direction. He doesn't make an extra effort to look pretty the way he does; there is no extra preening on his part, but it just happened to be that way naturally. But going onto the actual details now. A light brown serves as the base color fur for this tom-kit. Overshadowing it along his legs and tail are darker, gradiented stripes of ebony black, which contrast well against his lighter brown base fur and make him a brown tabby. Perhaps the most prominent marking on him is a black 'M' shape marked darkly onto his forehead. This tom's eyes only add to his look, making him all the more attractive. Being a striking ice blue, they hold unlimited depth with flecks of sunlit gold. They seem to have an expression of their own at times; when Orbitalkit is angered, they flash with the hint of a coming storm; when he is delighted, they shine with a new glow of their own.

This brown tabby has a very strong and muscular build, which sets him apart from many of his leaner Clanmates. If you were to see him strolling around the camp, his chin is almost always lifted in a confident manner and his eyes gazing straight ahead. If anything, he radiates the feeling of certainty about him.

    Kit RP sample:

A pairs of ice blue eyes snuck stealthily around the corner of the nursery, flashing around quickly as if to assess the surroundings. Search for cats now. No cats in sight? Good, let's get goi - Oh, wait! There goes a warrior. Okay, she passed. Let's go now aga - Great StarClan, another warrior just passed! What is with this warrior overflow? Orbitalkit's gaze flickered around the camp clearing in frustration, searching for a passing through the constant crowd of cats. All that he wanted was to get a piece of fresh-kill from the fresh-kill pile and make it back without anyone noticing. That would certainly gain him bragging rights with his siblings and and make his parents proud of him as well. Was that seriously too much to ask?

But with this crowd of cats, he wasn't quite sure if that was very possible. The brown tabby heaved a sigh before seeing an opening in the crowd. His fur lifted in anticipation, and before he even knew what was happening, his paws were already carrying him towards the pile.

Mission part two, succeeded! the tom though triumphantly in his mind, a wide grin on his face. He immediately pulled through the pile, tugging free a skinny mouse. It was a ragged and bony thing, but oh well. At least he got something. But now, to make it back. Orbitalkit turned around again, heaving a sigh at the endless flood of warriors. Oh, boy. Not again.

    Possible plot ideas:

I may end up getting Orbitalkit into trouble often because he may end up sneaking off into the territory sometimes as a kit, or perhaps trying to steal some berries away from the medicine cat's den just to see what it would taste like. ^^. I already like the thought of Orbitalkit already.

Then also, if there is a sibling that matches with his personality, I may arrange to get him a Sibling Bond sometime with them or purchase another power. It would be cool to have him to discover and use his power. He'll probably end up wanting to test the limits of it as well, and arrange to try some experiments with whoever he shares the bond with.

He'll also most likely end up with a mate and kits later on. I was thinking that for his mate, they could start off as enemies then slowly work their way into friendship zone and finally, mates. Perhaps he and his future mate could be stuck together in a life-or-death kind of situation [ blizzard in winter, for example ] and have to work together to get out of there alive. That experience would help them understand each other better and bring the two of them together. It's just a thought, of course. If I get Orbitalkit, it would be confirmed later on.

Lastly, there's always the developing. I don't really have much in mind yet, since I haven't roleplayed him yet. But once I figure out his personality a little better and get to know him, I will add on to it. :3

    Other:

Eternitypaw flashed a quick grin and turned around towards the nursery wall to begin counting, aware that the moment she turned around, Eleemosynarykit would probably be tumbling off towards the entrance of the camp and into the territory. That was fine. She would be able to scent her out, the way she did with prey all the time. Her mentor was Gravelstar, and the leader had taught her well, of course.

"One.. two.. three.." The apprentice began counting softly to herself, staring at the rough patterns of the nursery walls while she did so.

Eternitypaw glanced at Eleemosynarykit, taking in her tired expression that was worn all across her face. "You should go and take a nap," the she-cat suggested lightly, quite aware that some kits she knew of recoiled at the suggestion sometimes because they considered themself 'too old for naps'. It was ridiculous, in her opinion, since she had shamelessly taken countless amounts of naps back in her kitten days.

The lilac tabby then turned back towards Geniuskit. "I know, often, I've realized that most apprentices and warriors dislike kits for some strange reason. They think that they're annoying or something weird like that. But I think they're the ones who are weird." After all, what was there not to like about kits?

Eternitypaw stopped counting about the moment she heard Eleemosynarykit's pawsteps retreating into the distance. She usually only counted the first few numbers until she was sure that the hiders were already gone. Then she just waited for however long or short of a period of time she wanted to wait before heading off again. After several heartbeats of examining the patterns of the nursery, she stood up and began to pad off towards the entrance. A few moments in the forest taught her immediately that something had been amiss.

A pile of dung stood off to the side with strange marks inside of it. The lilac tabby stepped forward to sniff it carefully. The strong scent of the dung hit her like a wave, causing her to recoil, but not before she smelled Eleemosynarykit's faint scent on it. A crooked grin of amusement appeared on her face. So the she-kit had stumbled in dung? That must have been an interesting experience for her. Strangely, she didn't feel guilty or bad about it at all.

She scented around, catching the she-kit's scent on a leaf.

Fablestory followed the chocolate tabby as he began to head purposefully towards the scent of prey, keeping several paces behind him. She watched silently from her point of view as Velocitypaw began to creep forward towards the rabbit. From where she was positioned, the scent of it carried lightly across the breeze, but she couldn't actually see it. Both Velocitypaw and a thicket of thorny bushes set off towards the side was blocking her view. But she also didn't move. If she did and he happened to miss, who knew what he would do. She had seen apprentices who had blamed it on their mentors before because they had shifted slightly in position while they hunted.

You don't need to move, either, she told herself firmly. You can guess where the rabbit's at. Use some imagination. Gosh.

She kept as still as she could, which was something that she was rather skilled at, unlike Velocitypaw, noting his form and the way that he positioned himself. Although he certainly was the best, she had to admit that he wasn't at all that bad, either.

As he came up with the rabbit in his jaws, she padded forward, giving him a curt nod of approval. It wasn't the kind that was filled with warmth or affection, just a simple nod, but it was much more than she'd given any apprentice before Velocitypaw.

"Okay. Now drop that prey and bury it where you are. Meanwhile, listen to me. When you take steps, take lighter steps. Don't be so heavy. Set your paw down lightly, and roll it across the floor if you have to. You final sprint was okay, but if it could be softer, then that would be good as well."

    [ That's okay. x3 ]

Shadow nodded. "Great, thanks!" he mewed enthusiastically. He let out a purr of amusement as she crouched next to the bush and positioned him on the other side of it. "You chase the prey out, and I'll catch it from here," he growled playfully, before standing up and shaking his fur. "Anyways, we should probably get moving from now," the chocolate tabby mewed.

I see, strict about your borders, eh? Eveningsky narrowed his eyes at the she-cat, tail flicking. He didn't know much about her, that was for sure, but he already knew that he didn't like her too much. She seemed liked quite the fiery type, who would possibly even battle her way through it.

"Very," the brown tabby agreed, nodding. "And so are most other Clans or Tribes, unless you're joining. This is our territory, after all, the land we've kept for ages. Anyways, get off. Now. Otherwise.." He paused momentarily, as if debating something, then slid his claws out.

"I doubt it's worth the fight here, just saying."

Fablestory nodded grudgingly, rather surprised by the acceptance that she felt for the chocolate tabby. He was very different from what she had been expecting. For one, he wasn't actually all that hyper the way that he had been when he had been "thanking her" for her offer to teach him a very few things. Then there was also the fact that he even seemed somewhat serious about what he was doing. Somber, actually. And tolerable.

The brown tabby watched as he dashed around again, trying out the new suggestions she had made for him. His first attempt at the light pawsteps seemed successful enough; it wasn't nearly as loud as it had been before. But his second try at the light running didn't come out nearly as good.

As he halted in front of her, she surveyed him briefly before speaking. "Try again, keeping what I told you in mind. I want to see that you can run more softly next time." If there even is a next time, she muttered to herself inwardly. But, did she want to meet up with this Velocitypaw again? Even with his being-an-apprentice and all, he wasn't too bad.

She pushed the thought out of her mind and turned to concentrate on the apprentice. "Go ahead."

Eternitypaw padded silently into the den, the she-cat's ears pricked with attentiveness as she gazed at Redpaw, Plasmastar, and Sierraverse. "I think it would be best if we wait for them to attack, and I certainly agree that we're currently not prepared to forge another battle. Maybe you could warn the Clan to further prepare, though there's also the possibility that that could cause panic." Her tail flicked once, wondering what any of them would say in response to that. Attacks on WindClan had become a rather serious problem over the last few moons. She had seen warriors gone for days at a time, resting in their dens to recover from whatever wounds they had obtained through the fights.

Eternitypaw's head peaked into the den, alerted by that familiar squealing that was pretty much the signature sound of kits. The she-cat entered, eyes flickering to each cat individually for a moment, a brief feeling of confusion sweeping over her. These weren't Plasmastar's - or any high position's, for that matter - kits. But as she stood in place, gazing at them, a grudging smile reluctantly made its way onto her face as she noted the way that the kits spoke with one another. It took her back to her own experiences as as kit. "Who are they?" she asked softly, looking towards Redpaw. Despite the fact that she could have directed the question to one of the kits or the adult she-cat, she felt it more appropriate to ask her Clanmate first.

What was the rule regarding main Clan joinings again? Are loners or warriors from other Clan allowed to transfer over to another main Clan at their age, and do they need the leader's permission to?

    Thanks in advance! ^^

ShadowClanner. The scent hit her like a wave, and immediately her hackles rose. Eternitypaw silently began to make her way towards the scent before spotting Pinepounce. After a moment's hesitation of uncertainty, the lilac tabby then stepped out into the open, gazing at the other cat squarely in the eye. "What are you doing here on WindClan territory?" she growled, tail flicking.
