Eternitypaw had been scrounging around silently among the tall, signature grass of WindClan for prey. It was what she often did when nothing else appealed to her, and she had to admit that she did find hunting fun. It made her feel good whenever she could come up with a juicy piece of prey dangling in her jaws. On top of that, she personally thought it was satisfying to hear the crunch of her prey's bones when she killed it. Some thought that she was sadistic because of that, but really, it was only a strange little quirk of hers that one would never suspect she would have according to her outward personality.
The lilac tabby scented the air again, the breeze suddenly bringing a very different smell than she had scented only moments earlier.
RiverClanner! The scent was there, strong and clear. In that instant, all of her thoughts of hunting were abandoned and she began to silently creep up towards the RiverClanner.

[ Sorry for the late response; I was out on a vacation. xD ]
Eternitypaw narrowed her eyes at the way that the other apprentice was cautiously sidling away. It made her feel as if he had done something wong and was guilty of some crime. Perhaps he had caught prey on the WindClan territory. In any case, trespassers, in her opinion, should not be dealt with lightly. The she-cat padded forward, tail swinging back and forth slowly in an irritated manner.
Just as she was about to accuse the other tom of doing something - of hunting on the territory, of removing scent marks on her territory, of anything - she froze. Please don't hurt him! The voice sounded out in her mind, loud and clear, as if he'd said it aloud.
The thought made her stiffen momentarily before she gazed at Crusadepaw, her eyes widening and her expression changing. "Did you do that?" she meowed. Her voice had changed from an accusing to awed in just that split second.
-
[ Sorry for the late response. xD And also, just as a side note, Eternitypaw has this problem with prejudging certain cats. ]
Eternitypaw remained in place, her claws unsheathed. On normal circumstances, she would have allowed any cat to join. But from the look of this ShadowClanner, she was somehow reluctant to let him through. Perhaps she was wrong, and that it wasn't the case, but he seemed awfully enthusiastic and therefore useless. She glanced up as Sparrow padded into view, then turned her gaze back on Pinepounce.
"So, why is it that you want to join, and what do you think you would be able to offer WindClan?" the lilac tabby meowed, voice frosty.
-
[ Tracking. xD ]
The wind blew gently on the moors.
-
Eternitypaw's eyes widened, and all thoughts of chasing the RiverClan apprentice off of her territory vanished. "Really?" she meowed, half believing it and half not. Although she had heard about speial powers like telepathy, reading others' minds, and communicating with others through the mind without speaking aloud, she had always thought that that was just something made up. She had never taken any of that kind of talk seriously, and had always dismissed it with a wave of her tail. But now, she was no longer so sure.
"Well then, how did you do that? Can you teach me?" Her voice was lowered now, more wary and less enthusiastic. There still was the possibility that this Crusadepaw was just lying, and that the voice had come within herself. That perhaps it had been her conscience or whatever just speaking to herself.
"Wait, and what's your name again?"
-
Disturbing the calm and peace, a lilac tabby head poked out of the bushes. It wasn't Berrywhisp's mother, or anyone related to her. Rather, the name associated with that head was Eternitypaw. The apprentice bounded out of the brush towards the other she-cat, a joyful expression on her face. It was such a great day, with the sun shining and the birds chirping and whatnot.
But as she headed towards Berrywhisp, she couldn't help but notice the calculating expression on the other she-cat's face. It was as if she were thinking, contemplating.
Eternitypaw halted, suddenly realizing that the she-cat might not want her to be all bubbly the way she usually was. "Sorry," she mumbled, gaze averting towards the ground. "Was I being distracting? I could go if you'd like."
-
Eternitypaw gazed at Crusadepaw, stiffening again as the words protruded into her mind. She finally nodded curtly, the hard gaze back in her eyes. "I understand," she meowed, voice brittle. Even though she didn't. What did he mean, that this special ability that he had was a curse? What was with that dead tone in his voice when he had turned her down and refused even to try to teach her how to do what he did?
With the offer declined, she rose up again to full size. "Well then, get off of the territory," the lilac tabby growled. "You're trespassing, if you hadn't noticed." She began to take several steps towards him, as if forcing him to back off.
-
Eternitypaw followed the tom step by step towards the border that separated WindClan and RiverClan territory, tail fur raised and spiked. "Take care to keep off of WindClan territory in the future. Don't wander about to this territory again," the she-cat hissed, all thoughts of awe at the tom's 'ability' gone. He wasn't willing to teach her, so why should she show him any kindness?

[ Great! I can't wait to play them around WindClan. ^^ ]
Orbitalkit bounced up towards Oceanfront, the kit still moving on slightly wobbly legs. "Hi, Daddy!" the brown tabby squeaked. Hearing his father's question, he responded quickly, wanting to be the first one to reply. "The Clan's good but con-confusing. Can we explore the camp?" The tom stumbled slightly over confusing, sounding the word out carefully before moving on. He was still unfamiliar with even the slightly larger words and found them hard to say.
-
[ Tracking. xD ]
The wind blew gently.
-
[ Anyone want to have a sibling bond with Orbitalkit later on? :3 ]
Orbitalkit followed after Mockingkit and Teakit as quickly as he could without stumbling, which, unfortunately, wasn't the fastest pace. "Right after you," he meowed, heading towards the entrance of the den after Mockingkit.
-
ShadowClan kill gross. What in the name of StarClan was the tom talking about? Okay, she wasn't the largest fan of ShadowClan by any means, but surely they hunted the same way that WindClan did, and followed through with the same rules. "What do you mean by that? You don't agree with their politics and alliances? You don't like the way that they literally hunt? Or what?"
-
[ Mind if I bring in Orbitalkit? :3 ]
Orbitalkit emerged from the nursery that he just visited, pausing right at the entrance. Immediately, an idea formed in his mind and he hid behind the nursery wall, eyes peekng out in a way that he hoped looked stealthy. On his way to the nursery, he had seen two apprentices engaged in a mock battle. That had actually been pretty inspiring to him, and he had told himself that with a bit of practice, he could probably become just as good, even before becoming an official apprentice.
The tom's eyes flickered around the camp clearing, looking for a cat target to practice on. The warrior passing by? Nah, she looked to formidable. That other kit? He seemed simply the opposite, to frail and weak. Then he suddenly found it. From the corner of his eye, he spotted Teakit tumbling out of the nursery.
Her!
Without waiting for the "perfect opportunity" or for surroundings that would hvae made it a surprise attack, he pounded heavily and clumsily towards Teakit, timing a hopefully successful leap in his head once he got closer.
-
Orbitalkit shot a glance back at Chasingkit, and the tom flicked his tail over for her in an invitation to join them. He sat down, curling his tail neatly around his paws, and watched the huge mass of cats going about their daily lives in front of them. "How... how do you not get lost in that huge group of cats?" he meowed, voice awed. "And how would you actually get to know all them?"
-
Orbitalkit skidded to a halted right in front of his sister, trying not to show his embarrassment. Of course he wouldn't leap at her after she'd invited him over to play. That would just ruin the purpose of a surprise attack. The idea that that had actually been an attempt for a surprise attack had probably never occurred to her at all. The brown tabby flicked his tail once, scolding himself for that mistake, then shrugged if off. Oh well. Maybe next time. All that's important for now is that she doesn't know.
"Hey there, Tea!" he called back excitedly. "Sure, we can play something. Any ideas so far?"
Deep inside, he'd always felt the urge to explore the territory beyond. That seemed so much more interesting than the camp, since he'd already gotten used to the bustle of it and the placement of all the dens.
-
Orbitalkit cocked his head. "By scent?" he echoed. "That would be a lot of scents to mem-memorize and place to names." She turned towards Oceanfront, about to ask his father if he would be allowed to head out to explore the camp. But his gaze landed on Vykit, and he turned back around again, one part of him not wanting to get in the way of the two of them and the other part wishing that Vykit could learn a little faster.
