    Autumndapple drew a paw over her ear. "Jaypaw? Can you help me with something?" She mewed, trying to contain her excitement. She was experimenting on a treatment, that if she was successful, would save many lives.

    Moonflower got up slowly and paid Autumndapple and Jaypaw farewell. When she exited the clinic she slunk back to the nursery, entering quietly. She curled around her kit and the apprentice sleeping with him.

    Kaylee's death: Blizzard's story
    Blizzard flicked her ears in farewell as Bandit left, knowing that the pup would find his sister. She closed her eyes to sleep, but her head shot up at squeals of pain. Adrenaline shot through her body, giving her new strength as she followed Kaylee to the noise. Her progress was slow, but steady. When she finally made it to the scene, there was an ugly brute on top of her friend. She bunched up her muscles and cleared the wall of fire, the adrenaline blocking out the screeching pain from her injuries. Without a second thought, she lept on the brute. (Don't know who else is there so... yeah.) She sunk her sharp teeth into its flesh, and then lept off. Zury had helped her for a bit but she had dissapeared. Blizzard managed to drive the God forsaken beast into the fire, smiling as she smelled burning flesh and fur. "Have a nice time in Hell!" She yelled over the fire to the dying brute. She turned to help Kaylee, but she was too late. Her friend had died. She rushed over to her, flashbacks of her parents deaths flicking in and out of her mind. "No! No, no, no! Don't be dead!" She whimpered, burrowing her muzzle into Kaylee's bloodstained fur. She raised her head and let out a long, low, howl. One filled with anger and grief.

    "Follow me!" She mewed, brimming with excitement. She slipped out of the Clinic, and trotted across the clearing to the exit. She didn't care if the other cats noticed that she was acting like an apprentice who made their first catch. She was way too exited! "Jaypaw! Find the thinnest and sharpest thorn you can find!" She called over her shoulder before leaving to find her own.

    Autumndapple slowed her pace to fall in step with Jaypaw. "We needn't go that far." She mewed, flicking her ear. "I'm showing you a special place." She padded on for a few minutes until she came up to a spiny tree with budding flowers. It smelled sweet, but with a hint of sour. "Jaypaw, this is a lemon tree. Daydream's favorite place to relax." She explained to her apprentice. She padded forward and plucked a thorn from the tree. It was about half a whisker length long.

    Blacksoul waved his tail impatiently. "Well? Can I come instead or not?" He mewed a bit louder, his voice edged with annoyance. Why are apprentices so deaf nowadays!? He thought, his whiskers quivering.

    Blizzard 5 yo female Wolfdog
    Blizzard lowered her head after she howled. She was numb with grief, not even feeling pain from her broken ribs. Her ears blocked out the roaring of the flames and the dying yelps of the dog she pushed into the fire. She lowered her muzzle into the ear of her deceased friend. "Thank you for saving me from drowning in the river. I- I wish I could have saved you, friend." She paused her whispering as a tear rolled down her cheek. "May the great wolf in the sky, guide your paws on a safe journey to the cave of souls." She prayed, before starting to clean the blood from Kaylee's fur. As if in mourning, the sky opened up and poured down water. The ring of fire started to put out the ring of fire, but would the rain get far enough in town to save the others?

    Silhouette relaxed his body. "Okay mister." He replied, his bushy tail swaying. He looked up, curiosity burning in his purple eyes. "What is your name, mister? Mine is Silhouette." He asked, twitching his whiskers.

    Moonflower got up from her small rest, she felt better now. Before she left the nursery, she licked both Gingerpaw and Neptunekit softly on the head. She saw her mate and her brother-in-law across the clearing, and she bounded up to them. She caught Sleepingwaters's questions and waited patiently until Blacksoul replied about the first. "Starclan said that I would be having five healthy kits!" She mewed excitedly.

    Blacksoul flicked his ear as his brother approached, listening to his questions. He also greeted his mate as she approached a few seconds later. "I asked one of the apprentices if I could go on the patrol instead of Dapplepaw, but they didn't even hear me." He explained, pointing with his tail at the apprentices den. Before he could reply to the second question, Moonflower spoke up. "By Starclan! Five kits! That's wonderful!" He mewed, almost crying through joy.

    Moonflower: "You would have been the best warrior.... May you hunt with Starclan, Hollykit." She sat vigil for her son, even though he was too bloody for the others to sit with her. She stayed there until morning, her fur soaked to the bone in blood.


    They never found Owlheart's body. Although he is certainly dead. Right?

    Moonflower dipped her head in response to Sleepingwaters's compliment. "Thank you! And I'm sure you will be the best uncle Starclan have ever known." She mewed, laying her tail affectionately against her Brother-in-law's shoulder.

    Blacksoul smiled at his brother's compliments. He noticed his brother narrow his eyes when he turned to him. Is that envy? He thought, twitching his whiskers. I should catch him a nice plump rabbit, it pains me to see him unhappy.
