The apprentice was just itching with excitement to have her first real battle. Still, a few twinges of anxiety could be felt in her belly. "You nervous?" Vixenfur stood on the side, in her fighting stance. She lashed out at an approaching rat, her claws raking through its face. While the rat blinked, disoriented, Vixenfur pounced, taking it out with a neat bite to the neck. She got back up to attack again when a rat leapt onto her back, where Vixenfur couldn't reach it. In an attempt to shake it off the tortoiseshell flipped onto her back, consequently leaving her belly open for other rats to attack.[/fancypost]

Vixenfur squashed the rat that was clinging to her back and she sprung to her paws, readying herself to take on a wall of rats that had approached. Where are they all coming from?! She thought anxiously.

The apprentice didn't mind the treatment, but with the way her clanmates were reacting Leafpaw got the impression that her face looked just as bad as it felt, which was pretty bad.[/fancypost]
