Sapphire Shiverpool suddenly felt dizzy, and everything was fading into black and darkness. It had happened to her numerous times, three times, to be exact, and although she had felt extremely nauseous nothing too bad had become of her.

This time was different, though, she felt agony ripping through her pelt and Shiver suddenly felt a little frightened. What's gonna happen?
''Help!'' The ShadowClanner tried to cry out, but her voice was a feeble croak.

For ages Sapphire Shiverpool lay unconscious there, then awoke. She still felt weak, but could easily get on her feet. She heaved a sigh of relief. Perhaps things were going to be okay. But then she looked down on herself and squeaked, stunned, for the ShadowClanner's wolf body had changed somehow. It was still pretty similar, but instead of white with light grey patches and darker grey stripes, she had a light grey underbelly and strange, vertical, curling stripes that looked distinctly like fire - this was Sapphire Shiverpool's new body.
