Therefore, it would seem that he doesn't have one single true appearance. In truth, he does have a true form, which is simply a three by three foot long mass of black goop. Whatever form he takes on will be pitch black in color. Just like the color of his forms, his eyes never change. They constantly remain white and are often described as little glowing moons. Any hair, fur or feathers seen in any of his forms is actually made of thin strands of goop, and feels as if it were always wet or damp.

His human male form is short in stature, probably standing just a few inches shorter than the average man. He has broad shoulders and - what would appear to be - some visible muscle. He obtains a round shaped face with a crooked nose. His "hair" in this form is straight and manages to cover his forehead and the tops of his ears. His human female form has very little curve and looks rather thin. This form would appear to stand at the right height for a female. In this form, his "hair" reaches past his shoulders and is very wavy.

When he grows in size, his body will mass produce toxic chemicals. When these chemicals come in contact with the air he "breathes" it generates a reaction. This reaction causes the chemicals to change into the very goop he is made of and expand to a certain degree. His body will generate quite a bit of energy when doing so, energy that is caused by the chemicals reacting to oxygen. This energy, instead of wiping him out, causes him to gain more energy to burn. The more he grows in size, the more chemicals produced, the more reaction and, thus, more energy. However, when the goop is no longer producing the energy, it will obviously begin to use it up. If his body uses up all the energy he will grow weak and rapidly shrink back into his true form. Piper will then have to rest before attempting to grow in size once more. It is said that if he pushes himself too far his body will shrink down further and further past his natural size until he completely disappears.

However, if he grows to the size of, let's say, a buffalo, then his body will use more energy at a more rapid rate. This is why, in larger forms, his body will develop transparent sacks inside of itself as stores for more energy. The bigger the form, the larger the sacks. If he grows to the size of a trailer, then the sacks will get so large they will begin to break through his "skin." The energy within these sacks are bright green in color and pulsate with tremendous energy.

If too much energy is produced Piper can become extremely dangerous. The sacks can grow to such an astounding size that they will begin to cover his whole body. He can become a walking time bomb for multiple reasons. One is the fact that, if one were to pop from the pressure, deadly chemicals could flood the surrounding landscape. However, one wouldn't have to worry too much about the sacks being popped, for it is an enormous pain to do so. The sacks, despite appearance, can take all sorts of bullets, knives and swords without so much as a scratch. Another thing to worry about is the fact that these chemicals pulsate with negative energy which produces emotions like rage, anger and bloodlust. Therefore, if he grows too large, then he will attack anything that moves. When he is angered and/or aggravated, it would be unwise to touch him. The goop can become hot and sticky when he becomes one or both of such states.

Because he obtains not a trace of what creatures here on Earth have, he cannot be poisoned. When poison enters his body, the goop will identify it as a foreign contaminant and push it back out of his body. However, certain poisons will be absorbed and turned into energy. There are quite a bit of other things his body will absorb; such as any editable substance, including other chemicals.

In result of the fact that he has no organs, he also has no vocal cords.However, there is a small amount of a special kind of ooze that is produced within him. It is generated in small pockets in four areas of his "body." They are produced in the neck and head areas of the forms he takes on. It is unknown where they are originally placed in his true form. This kind of ooze is significantly different then the rest of what makes him up. It is actually white in coloration which can suggest one of its purposes - sight. This ooze generates electric pulses and is created partially from the energy he can create, his own ooze and a tiny gathering of cells that was taken from his host. The white ooze in his head is used for thought processing and telepathy. He is unable to control what his voice sounds like when using telepathy. People who "hear" it can perceive it however they like. In other words, they basically hear what they want to hear. The white ooze found in his neck is used for a rather odd form of communication only understood by himself and possible future generations. This language has both a written and spoken form. In writing it appears as a square shaped gathering of complex lines - almost like Japanese, though some might say it looks more majestic. In spoken form it consists of a series of, what is referred to as, chirps. However, they aren't like bird chirps. As a matter of fact, it sounds like a flute being played in most cases. Because of the way it sounds, there is no way to determine if it is feminine or masculine.

Personality ;; Piper can be seen as a generally pessimistic person. However, he denies is pessimistic nature and goes on to believe he is rather optimistic. What one can find to be ironic about this is the fact he looks down upon those who are optimistic in certain situations. Piper sees himself as the intelligent sort, and he actually is quite wise and a bit witty. He can often come up with the best of comebacks in verbal conflict which was apparent during a fight someone was having with a few others. What was also revealed about him in such a situation is the fact he likes to point out others flaws, whether it be about themselves or the ideas they come up with. Another thing to note about him is how unnaturally calm he is around violence. He is also able to remain calm under pressure and in moments of desperation and darkness, which could mean that he is somewhat optimistic. Piper can also be described as sadistic. He even frowns upon those who reflect their pain in body language and expressions. He feels that by doing so they are revealing the fact that they are weak.

When it comes to encountering enemies, he responds in the same calm and collective manner as he does in other conflicts. However, when it comes to inflicting pain on his foes, his dark side is shown to a surprising extent. He often mocks and laughs at them, he even goes as far as to verbally put them down. As he does damage to his enemies he will often experience uncontrollable bursts of laughter along with wild looks in his eyes. It seems all too clear that his moments of highest joy come when laying his foes to rest.

History ;; Pip was born inside a cottage far back from the modern age. He lived a normal life, working on a farm with his family. He lived with his dad, cousins, uncles, aunts, and siblings - his mother passed soon after birthing him. When he turned eight his members of his family began to disappear into the woods. His dad soon forced what was left of the family to stay close to the cottage and get inside before sundown. One morning, Pip saw his youngest sister walk into the forest. He he ran after her, shouting her name and begging her to return. He stayed in the forest until nightfall, looking for his sister. By morning he was exhausted for he had been searching all night, his sister had yet to turn up. Even if he had attempted sleep he wouldn't have been able to. Pip believed he had heard strange sounds in the woods, and even an occasional scream. He stumbled upon an abandoned building which held a hidden entrance into a wine cellar. However, that hidden entrance was open. Pip gazed down the staircase which became darker further and further down. He picked a match out of his pocket and grabbed a nearby stick. After he lit it, he entered the narrow passage. He swore he heard his sisters voice several times, which grew louder when he came upon a dark hallway. Pip stumbled through the darkness, calling for his sister. Suddenly, his sisters voice faltered and fell silent. He panicked, screaming her name until his throat became sore and his voice raspy. He collasped in the darkness, sobbing uncontrollably. It was then that there was a sudden chill and the air around him felt odd, like something was wrong. A voice ringed out, "You shouldn't have come..." Without warning, the fire on the stick flickered and died out. The situation seemed all too cliché. Pip screamed when he felt something grab him and begin to wrap around him. He desperately tried to escape, lashing out at whatever it was in vain. The creature seemed to consume him as his final bloodcurdling scream echoed up from the cellar.[/fancypost]

Her eyes used to be a fiery orange; now they are dark and hollow, rarely offering glimpses of the little girl she used to be - a little girl trapped inside a creature.

[according to the book, Sleepers cannot be killed. In terms of the roleplay, this is to be decided by Bubbles. If we must alter this character from 'cannot' to 'hard to' kill then that is fine by me.]

Personality ;; Like all Sleepers, she is reclusive and prefers to stay away from people. If Elizabeth decides to come in contact with others, it is usually with only one person at a time. She has the tendency to stalk people, but as soon as she is spotted she will run off. She is particularly protective of Pip and, with each visit, always demands a story from him. She loves hearing stories, particularly those with a happier ending. If she takes on a liking towards someone, she will likely stay closer to them and insist that they play games with her. Like the rest of her kind, she is always hungry and reflects such hunger in her gaze. She diets on animals but they do not satiate her. What she desires most is human blood. She is prone to bursts of violence where she will attack almost any being she sees. She is highly protective of the home that she inhabits - The Devil's Hand. It is a rock formation which appears to be an enormous hand rising up from the ground. There is an area at the bottom of the palm, usually covered up by snow, that has a rock which can be moved to the side during the full moon[It is an entrance to a tunnel which is quite difficult for adults to squeeze through. It leads to room with shelves, books, a bed, tables, and other things. In this room are three tunnel entrances which can ether lead to dead ends, other tunnels, or triangle shaped rooms. There is the possibility of finding a room with round walls, a circular fire pit, a number of little mounds of dirt, and drawings and writing on the walls in either charcoal and red-brown paint or blood. The crude drawings were of people rising up from the grave to be alive once more, and "Sleeper Awaken" is written at least a hundred times]. Her home obtains a room where a supposed 'portal' is, which is required in the process of bringing up a Sleeper.

History ;; To put it simply - especially given the fact this character is a sibling of an existing one - she was abducted in the woods and kept captive in a cottage for several days before being murdered. Her body was later found in a ditch near the house by Pip. Upon the discovery of her body, Pip was overcome with both sadness and rage. It didn't take him long to find the killers and slaughter them. Later on, while determining a proper burial, he discovered a way to bring her back. During the seven days she walked, she spilled the blood of someone. In accordance to what has been said about Sleepers, if they spill a mans blood then they will walk for eternity. Pip has said once before that if there was a way to free his little sister from the creature she inhabits, he would. [a more detailed story may be written later.]

Night Children are those who have become the host of a member of the Shadow Folk[reference to those creatures in the gif above]. To clarify what the Shadow Folk are, read the following: Shadow Folk are, basically, beings made of shadows. They are lost souls who have committed suicide in the woods, people like us who had lead on miserable lives before. Like poltergeists, they are unpredictable and extremely dangerous. These malevolent creatures dine on the auras that surround people and animals. Often, their feasts end in the death of the victim. It was once thought that the only way to "kill" them was by performing a form of exorcism. This form of exorcism was, of course, the kind to banish evil spirits in the surrounding area. However, it was soon learned that these beings were able to resist such banishment. It is now thought that the only way to rid them of this new life was by convincing them that they are done with this one, that "it is time to bid it farewell and move on. Just let go." Only one has accomplished this, mainly because many are too afraid to attempt conversing with one. Quite a few of those who managed to approach supposedly become hypnotized by the gaze of the Shadow Being. By the time they realized they had been in a trance it was already too late.

Overall Appearance ;; She is a short, petite girl who stands at precisely 5'0". She has fair skin with numerous scars on her legs, arms, body, neck, and one on her cheek. The scar upon her cheek stretches from her jawline to near the right corner of her right eye. She has long, wavy, dirty blonde hair that reaches her waist. It is usually in tangles and has that 'dirty hair' smell. Her eyes are slightly large in appearance and are usually an olive color. However, they can change to pure, glowing white saucers at any time. She has the ability to transform into a shadow being [like those in the gif above, only with a few differences] that almost looks like a silhouette of a human being. However, this form appears to have no legs and the arms have the ability to disappear into the sides of the body. The eyes of this form are often massive and saucer shaped. They have the ability to shrink down to the size of a humans eye. They glow pure white and are described as hypnotic. It has been said that when these eyes look directly into the eyes of another they give people the feeling of the eyes 'staring directly into their soul.' When in this form, if she looks at someone, she immediately gives them the feeling of being watched. This is a curse put upon all Shadow Folk which is passed down to the Night Children. It acts as a warning for the Natives back at Effie's home. In the code of the Natives, it basically states the following: "If one gains the feeling of being watched whilst out and about in the woods, head home immediately."
