    FAMILY: audrey's been an orphan for as long as she could remember, so her immediate family is unknown. she has a great aunt somewhere in new jersey but has never met her.
    HISTORY: audrey was born as a result of infidelity, and was immediately put in an orphanage as her mother did not want to raise a reminder of her unfaithfulness. she left nothing, no note or piece of jewelry, for audrey when she gave her up. the orphanage, which was in brooklyn, was filled with viscous children and poor caretakers. audrey had to quickly learn how to survive on her own. at the age of twelve, she ran away to join the newsies, heading for the new york city to evade capture in brooklyn. audrey had to disguise herself as a boy in order to be allowed lodging in the newsboys house and to buy papers, since they wouldn't take a girl seriously. audrey's gained a reputation among newsies, known for being quite snarky and adventurous, not to mention clever.

    Kokoa smiled. At least he knew the name. That was more than most people, who she had to use at least six different examples before they realized what she was talking about. Even then, they usually just shrugged and said it was cool. Not a lot of people realized how much work it really was.

    Audrey hated mornings, for more than one reason. One, you had twobakebup and that itself was a struggle. Her bed wasn't the warmest or most comfortable but it felt like it at times. Two, she had to start her day as a slave to capitalism.


    Don't get her wrong; she loved being a newsie. It gave her a certain kind of freedom that was hard to come by. The freedom to do whatever you wanted and the ability to return to a bed at the end of the day. But Audrey still hated the fact that she needed to depend on Pulitzer to make ends meet, and she hated the system that made it hard for kids like her to live. But there wasn't much she could do about it, so she just grits her teeth and puts up with it.


    The newsboys lodging house went from tranquil and silent to crowded and raucous in a matter of minutes once the landlord came in and woke them up. Audrey had only met him a handful of tjmew, but when she did she made sure to put on her most masculine behavior. He still hadn't figured out that she was a girl; she supposed her lack of breasts helped in that department. That and her short hair and sharp features.

    		 she snorted sarcastically, a smirk on her face. She shouldered her way through the crowd and quickly brushed her teeth.     GENDER: Female

    APPEARANCE: Fawnkit is a dark brown she-cat with white markings on her paws, underbelly, chest, and lower mouth. Her face, ears, and tail fades into a slightly darker brown color. Her eyes are a pale green-grey hue, and are wide and doe-like. In terms of body type, Fawnkit is smaller than the average kit and is a bit skinny, and her legs are long and lanky in proportion to the rest of her body. Her fur, which isn't short-haired but not quite long enough to be considered long-haired, makes up for her twiggy body.


    PERSONALITY: Alluding to her name, Fawnkit is a shy and quiet kitten. She's not very mouthy and prefers to communicate through gestures and expressions rather than words, but once she's comfortable with someone she can talk quite frequently. Fawnkit is overly curious as well and tends to find herself in sticky situations, but it's hard to stay mad at her for lit because her sincerety shows that she really doesn't know any better. Likewise, Fawnkit wants to be liked by the others and constantly seeks validation by doing whatever someone tells her to, even if it's with some hesitation. Fawnkit tries hard to be respectful and kind and goes out of her way to help others, because she really just wants to see everyone happy. As she ages, Fawnkit retains her sense of selflessness, hesitation, and purity, but she does gain a significant amount of determination and self-confidence. Although they are something that she will struggle with throughout her life, deep down she knows she can amount to great things and doesn't give up.
