[[font=times new roman]pit loved flying. the adrenaline rush, the drop in your stomach, seeing everything so far below .. but he couldn't do it on his own. no, there was something wrong with his wings. he had to get help from palutena - and her power of flight only lasted five minutes at maximum. if he ever got one wish, it would probably be to fly by himself. it had been his dream his entire life. the chocolate tabby's wings glowed a fiery blue, as they always did when palutena was in control. it was a strange system; in the air, he could control where he was going, but only to an extent - palutena controlled the overall speed and flight path he took. the apprentice somersaulted in the air, laughing happily. he was circling windclan's territory, high above the treetops, despite the cold. "pit, the power of flight will run out soon. i'm going to direct you towards camp." pit's face fell. "already?" he complained as he veered sharply to the left. it didn't take long before he was descending down towards the entrance to the caves below .. still at full speed. his paws hit the ground hard, and he was thrown back upward a few feet before the glow in his wings cut off suddenly and he crashed to the floor below with a yelp. pit sat there for a moment before groaning and sitting up. "maybe we could work on a softer landing next time?" he asked palutena, blue eyes dazed-looking.
