[size=1]pit was a tiny little thing - barely two moons old. his tawny fur was wispy and very clean, surprisingly enough. he had wide blue eyes and two little wings on his back, covered in downy feathers like that of a baby bird. they were incapable of flight so far, though he was sure he would learn. giggling as he jumped from the nursery entrance, he grinned and exclaimed, "don't worry palutena! i will rescue-! oof." the kitten squeaked as he tripped over jax, landing flat on his back beside the older tom.

"hey! uh, who wants to do a meet and greet? we could play a game or something to, y'know, make it less .. formal-y." "interesting choice of words there, pit," palutena commented in amusement, causing him to pout and look up at the sky. "hey, it was all i could think of, alright?" he grumbled back. "aw, don't get so defensive. i was just teasing!"

pit held up his newest badge to the sun, proudly examining it. he grinned, unable to control himself; the thirteen-year-old jumped excitedly before fist-pumping. he had gotten through all nine gym leaders - next all he had to do was make his way to the elite four. "that'll be a cinch, right, jiri?" the jirachi that hovered next to pit's head beamed and cooed, "jira~!" pit tilted his head before laughing and chirping, "i'll take that as a yes. ok! just gotta stop at the pokémon center and then it's back on the road." after healing his pokémon and getting a quick lunch, the boy was heading out of town, down a dirt path. "next stop - the league champion!"

"woah! uh, sorry." his jirachi flitted curiously over to duskull. "jir?" it questioned. pit blinked, pointing at duskull. "is that your pokémon?"
