OOC: Sorry its so long I got really into it
IC: Marth desperately strove to erase his feelings, yet nothing was working. In defeat, he sat down and put his back up next to the tree, that was when he heard the noise of something slithering nearby. His instincts kicked in and he slowly stood as he attempted to see the something out of his peripheral. The suspense was almost enough to kill as he watched the claws of something wrap around the trunk right above his head and he heard the voice of the owner argue with another creature "I told you I ssssmelled them, the ssstrong ssscent of Ares and Athena, my mouth waters at the ssssmell." rasped the monster. "Well, wherever they were, remember the massster's ordersss, we are to bring them back alive sssisster." hissed the other. Marth pulled out his staff and attempted to make a plan, then he stepped on a twig. 'What a cliche, this better not be the way I die.' he thought as he ducked. "Catch him!" screeched one. By now, Marth assumed they were gorgons, he was going to have a few issues. He rolled to the side and evaded a massive bronze wing that would have sliced him in half. Nothing existed for him now except the safety of his friends, he would not allow danger near them. The gorgons stepped into the light and their bronze tusks and matted hair came into view. One attempted to dodge around him and attack from behind, he swung and knocked her back. "Little boy, jusst come with usss and we promisse not to hurt your friendsss, we jussst need to chat." said one with a what she thought was a winning smile. "Sorry, I don't talk to strangers." said Marth. A metal shink resounded to announce the blades on his staff, he jumped, stabbed and parlayed. The metal clangs that sounded grated against his ears. Eventually, one crumpled to dust from a wound on the shoulder and chest. Not before giving Marth a nasty cut across his eye, the only thing that saved him from being blind was his staff, but now warm, sticky blood dripped and blinded him, he couldn't see and he panicked, and the gorgon knocked him to the side. He rolled onto his side and struggled to get up. As the gorgon rushed forward, he surprised her by holding out the staff that meant straight through her abdomen. As he balcked out he couldn't help but think himself a failue, 'Couldn't even stand two gorgons.' he thought regretfully. Now, he lay helpless, he could only hope someone heard the fight and would come help him.
