There were always two. A master and an apprentice. Ha. As if. Anuva snorted and pulled away from the psycho mumbo jumbo star wars book. Idiots. Who wanted all this technology and why did they think for a second lightsabers were good weapons? They had this mysterious force thing, which she supposed was okay, but clearly having the powers granted this world and a way of coming and going from human form was far more valuable.
"Evangelical Nightmare! Let's go." She said, her tail twitching. The black pharaoh could wait if she had to, and she enjoyed making other people wait, but her orders were to get started as soon as possible.
Evan, of course, was having none of this. "I don't wanna go." He complained, his claws digging into the earth to show his extreme reluctance. "It's my choice and I don't wanna."
The child was insufferable. Of all the idiots to catch her Mistress' eye, he had to be the one? It was horrid that he even thought he had a choice. He did not understand the power of her Mistress yet. He did not respect her. But he would. "You want to make people happy, don't you, Evan?"
He snorted. "Well sure. They're happy, I'm happy, we don't have all this stupid fighting and nobody has to feel bad." He hated being sad or angry, just hated it. The emotions almost made him sick. "What does that got to do with anything?"
"Well, Evangelical Nightmare, there are paths back from the land of the dead, paths you can help people find. You can bring them back, people that were gone. Honeypaw was lucky. You remember her dead body, the way her soul was gone. She could have been gone forever. She might not have been able to make it back. If she'd run into trouble, who could have helped her? You, Evangelical Nightmare. So listen when I teach you."
"You're lying. Lee said StarClan knows when to send people and when not to."
"Oh you don't really believe that nonsense, do you? StarClan is only a corner of the sky, and their power is laughable. If they could really control such things evil would not find its way returning all the time. No, they are the liars, numbskull, and stupid to believe it. Almost as stupid as you." Anuva said. She knew she had caught his interest. He had to wonder about the spirit world, since he could see so much of it. His Sight was strong. She just had to make sure not to teach him how to look into the future. Then he would know what lay in store for him. He might become...difficult.
"I..." Evan frowned, his face forming into hard lines. He got up abruptly. "I don't like you and I'm not talking to you!" He said, hurrying away. Gosh golly her. What did numbskull even mean? It didn't sound very nice. And Lee wouldn't have lied, right? And he wasn't stupid -- he was some important thing in the clan, and advisor or guardian or whatever. Evan could never get them straight, didn't know the difference between them.
He sat down outside of camp. Great. Now he wasn't happy anymore. She just had to go and ruin his day. He was really beginning to hate her. He should have listened to Cynthia from the start. He had just been curious...and it wasn't as though he'd truly seeked her out. He'd been trying to get rid of her for a while, and she had responded by coming in a physical form. Jerk.
