[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]It had been a long time - some might even say it had been too long - and now the feline was returning... home. for sunclan was her home, wasn't it? not the vicious group that had been led by permafrost but the happy-go-lucky and cheerful cats she knew during the time that colouredstar reigned. maybe there would be no one here who knew of her or even had any idea who she was. maybe there would be no one there that she knew or recognised. but if there was one thing that faunalife had learnt during her lifetime of disappointment and heartbreak, it was that sometimes a fresh start was all you needed.

the red tabby and white feline had been pretty before, cute even... but now, with over two years of knowledge glimmering in her tenerife eyes, the long furred she-cat was striking, maybe even gorgeous. once the girl had been a young and flirtatious little vixen, wooing boys in and breaking their hearts, although her own was broken numerous times in the process. oh the lives she had destroyed back then! if there was one thing faunalife would go back and change it would be her years as a young, unwitting and stupid little girl. her life had been a mess until she had met niney, who's real name was nineteen. to him she had given birth a litter of gorgeous kittens, ones that she had loved with all her heart but no longer had any contact with. nineteen had been her husband, the golden band she had worn around her paw had symbolised their tight bonds.

yet those highs and lows were well behind her now. she had learnt well from her mistakes and was determined to come back and have a fresh start, even if that did mean going into the clan friendless with no one there to remember who she was. letting out a gentle sigh now as she walked calmly towards the top of the hill. seeing the well kept and maintained houses reminded her of her childhood home; the old schoolhouse. a bittersweet smile on her maw the female's azure eyes would flicker around her as she walked the streets of the town, remembering back to her times with colouredstar as a leader and realising just how much she missed it all. but sunclan had changed and so had she, now was a time for new beginnings not a time for remembering the past.

deciding she may as well stop now the tabby cat looked around her once more before sitting, nestling down on her haunches and wrapping her white tipped tail over her equally white coated paws. "hello? sunclan?" faunalife called out with pricked ears. her voice had once been sickeningly sweet and innocent - now it was calm, soft and knowing. she had the tone of a girl who had experienced much, the tone of someone who had fought hard to be where she was now. "i mean no harm. i just wanted to come home." the once sunclanner added, her words trailing off whimsically with a tilt of her head.

the first thing that the feminine creature noticed was not the luscious chocolate fur that coated the cat walking towards her. instead it was the pair of black wings protruding from her sides which flapped calmly, causing faunalife's eyes to widen a little more. after being away for so long the girl was not used to such extreme powers and mutations showing up in the animals she would soon be surrounding herself with. back when she had been a part of sunclan the most serious and well respected things had been telepathy or the sight. now things were obviously much different, it seemed that a lot of things had changed during her absence.

her head, which was tilted to the right moved as she cocked it to the left, tenerife hued eyes shining brilliantly with curiosity. ears twitching to show that she had heard the york's words the red and white female found herself smiling softly in response. the cat before her seemed friendly enough, but then again first impressions could always be misleading... "yes, i was a kit when colouredstar still led the clan," faunalife meowed with a soft grin as her blue eyes clouded over for just a moment, remembering her time in the schoolhouse, before they cleared again. "oh, and my name is faunalife, wishing to join once more if you please."

just as she finished speaking her eyes snapped to a new figure, an eerily familiar voice catching her attention. gazing at him faunalife, or faunny as she was often called, felt her jaw drop open and her eyes widen even further. nelon. he's here. he's alive. he's here!!! the tabby cat thought as she stared wide-eyed at the tom-cat before her. my, he had grown... no longer was he a tiny little kit for now he was a strong young man with a lifetime of surprises ahead of him. "nelon?" faunny mewled, her voice sounding calm but the slight tremor in her words betraying her overwhelming emotions.

not bothering to think of what the other fem must be thinking of her now the red and white she-cat stepped around cain, her soft smile turning into an elated grin. he was alive! her son was here and alive! in the back of her mind she was worried that maybe he would hate her for disappearing and not being there for her. but right now she couldn't care less, stepping towards him she aimed to place a motherly and loving lick on his cheek, moving to gently nuzzle him. man, she had really missed her family...!

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]if Maria's roleplayer was astounded by the amount of muse being put forth for faunalife then the red tabby's own roleplayer was shocked, to be honest they weren't sure where it was coming from. anyway, the red tabby cat turned to face maria as she spoke, positioning herself so she stood close by the side of the son she had just been reunited with. smiling politely and cheerfully the she-cat's Tenerife eyes seemed to exuberate warmth as she gazed at the female before her. "lovely to meet you maria, i'm faunalife. although most just call me fauna." the tabby cat purred, flicking her tail in a happy manner as she turned to watch another cat, this one obviously still very young, appear.

as the fireflies moved to create the form of a pulsing loveheart the now once again sunclanner laughed joyfully. "that's awesome!" she praised, a beam still on her face as she looked down at the kit. why she still remembered back to when nelon was that young, along with marauder, darcy, blue, rollo and isaebella dee. pushing back the feeling of regret she felt at having left her children at such an important stage of their lives she turned at the sound of pawsteps approaching.

her bright blue gaze trailed from the kitten to a pair of emerald orbs that simply made her jaw drop. not because of their beauty but because of the familiarity of those eyes. refraining from gasping she felt her eyes widen as the voice of thor sounded and that same old crooked grin lit up his face. oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh! "thor!" came the exclaimed words of the feline as her shocked face turned into a large grin. gazing at him she couldn't help noticing that he, just like she, had changed since they had last met. he had always been brawny but now he seemed to have filled out and had obvious muscles rippling beneath his pelt. he still had that handsomely chiselled face and he was the same thor, just as she was the same faunny, but in a way they were both so vastly different. it wasn't the extra scars that riddled his pelt or the fact he'd grown into a handsome and strong tom-cat, in fact she couldn't quite figure out what was so different about him. yet there was definitely something there...

ignoring the feeling she moved forwards, moving to embrace the tom-cat in a friendly manner before she hesitated and halted a mere step away from him. was espie still around? if she was she would surely kill fauna for even laying a paw on thor - even if it was only a show of friendship. deciding against it she simply smiled at him, happiness glowing in her bright blue eyes. "my, you have grown haven't you?" faunalife laughed, noting that he was still a fair bit taller than her - not that he had ever been short.

as two others appeared she reluctantly, and with a sincerely apologetic smile and flash of her Tenerife orbs, tore her attention from thor and to grimnyte and skully. "pleasure to meet you skully. and you too of course, grimnyte!" fauna meowed, dipping her head with the utmost respect and friendliness.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]Out of the cat's gathered Faunalife only managed to recognise a couple, but hey that was better than none, right? so far the red and white tabby cat was yet to make many friends. the only people she really knew in sunclan were thor and nelon; nelon being her son and thor being a tom-cat she had once loved with all her heart. so it was no surprise really that the striking lady was looking to make a couple of new friends was it?

padding over with a gentle and warm smile on her face the sunclanner dipped her head politely. "nice to meet you all, i'm faunalife but please feel free to call me fauna."

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]upon wondering into the immaculately clean and well maintained town that harboured sunclan the female wasn't expecting anything spectacular. certainly she wasn't expecting to have anyone recognise her or really know who she was. her expectations were a small smile here or there and a brisk welcoming - but sunclan never ceased to surprise her, did it? not only had they been warm friendly and cheerful but amongst their ranks the red and white tabby cat had found her once-lover thor and her son nelon! and oh, what a surprise finding them had been for the sunclan she-cat.

now though, when she wasn't basking in the happiness of being with thor or nelon, the long-furred lady let her mind wander. she thought back on the times she would run through the schoolhouse hallways with thor, tackle with frostkit (who went on to become frostbite) and paint the walls of classrooms with sierrakit. in her mind she was laying by the lakeside under a willow tree at the dead of night snuggled by the side of her former mate nineteen. of all those who had once been close to fauna only thor still remained, the chiselled tom-cat bringing back a lifetime of memories with him. yet faunalife had learnt not to let such things get the better of her and so she only ever recalled the happy memories, never would she settle to think of those times that had left her in tears. for example, her rather messy breakup with thor, or nineteen's disappearance or the time her relationship with her brother frostbite fell apart. no - she would not think of them at all.

clambering to her feet the tabby cat stood from where she had been laying on the comfortably dry veranda of a quant little house. the house had cream-peach weatherboards with a gorgeous white roof and veranda, in fact it was exactly the kind of vintage and yet girly house one would imagine faunalife inhabiting. when the girl had wandered across it the dwelling had been empty, although a fair amount of furniture was still in the houses. there was a lovely wooden table in the kitchen, a gorgeous fireplace with stunning couches and armchairs. upstairs there were three or four bedrooms, all with beds that were still in their prime. all of this made faunalife wonder what made the two-legs desert such a lovely place... or maybe they never came? maybe they decked it out and then never moved into the town... who would know? anyway, maybe one day fauna would ask her son nelon to stay with her in the house, but for now she was content to be by herself.

standing up and leaning forward the female would stretch and let out a quiet yawn, a soft smile on her maw. looking around with her brilliant blue optics the cat soon spotted the horned and winged form of cain. ah, wasn't she the one who had first found her when she had came back to sunclain? yes she was! leaping agilely down the steps and onto the ground faunalife's face would light up in a cheerful grin. "hi there, cain!" the feline meowed cheerfully.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]If there was one thing that brought faunalife to tears it would be heartbreaks... or deaths come to think of it. padding up towards cain when the chocolate York announced that she had something to say the red tabby cat had cocked her head to the side with curiosity. personally the Tenerife eyed feline didn't think that cain looked overly happy, but maybe that was just her... but as cain spoke faunalife knew straight away that something wasn't right.

standing there watching the feline as she spoke she felt tears prick at her eyes. oh gosh hearing this reminded her of her own mate, nineteen - or former mate as she should say. just like this 'indi' had, nineteen had just disappeared and it had left the young girl's life in ruins. it would appear that cain was feeling exactly the same way. as she spoke the red and white tabby cat felt her heartbreaking for the brown winged and horned girl in front of her.

as cain spoke of letting go of indi faunalife gazed at her with utmost sympathy. for if anyone knew just how hard letting go of someone you loved more than life itself was than it was faunny. when cain spoke metaphorically referring to herself and her heart as glass, fragile and breakable, faunalife blinked back tears. gosh her heart was breaking for the chocolate clad girl in front of her...! as cain trailed off the pretty feline moved forwards, aiming to embrace the younger fem in a hug.

it would appear that cain needed a friend and someone to help her through. faunalife was determined to be that someone... "It's okay Cain, I'm here..." the tabby murmured softly to the fem.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]A cheerful beam on her maw the she-cat pricked her ears as cain spoke, happy to see the girl in good spirits. faunalife had been nearly brought to tears when cain had made the announcement that she was letting go of indi and the red tabby cat was happy to see she could still muster a smile. god knows that fauna had never managed to smile when nineteen had disappeared! in fact... she had been depressed, for a long time. in the end she had realised that sometimes the people you can't live without could live without you - that was if nineteen was still alive. in the end she had slipped off the golden and flower engraved wedding band and buried it under the willow tree by the lakeside where their litter (the same one which nelon was born from) had been conceived. thinking of it now fauna wondered whether it was worth going to receive the lovely band... would it even still be there? don't be stupid - get a grip on yourself woman. faunalife thought to herself, almost annoyed that the thought had even crossed her mind. let's let the band lie low with the memories, it is a fitting place for it after all. were the girl's next thoughts as she snapped back to attention when cain spoke.

"i'm good, I've spent half the day lounging around actually..." she admitted with a sheepish grin, twitching her ear as she did so. "i should be helping out to be honest but I couldn't find the heart for it today, instead I sat around playing back memories." faunalife explained, a bittersweet look in her blue eyes for just a moment before it disappeared once more. "how are you?" came the girl's next words, smiling as she tilted her head to the side waiting for a response.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]// crappy post because I'm on my phone (:

SunClan had changed so much since the red and white tabby cat had last called this place home. in the time of her childhood the clan had inhabited a schoolhouse and were known for their cheerfulness and open warmth. that was when colouredstar reigned, and the same could be said for lovestar's reign! but as permafrost climbed the ranks of sunclan things changed quite dramatically. it was when he was leader that Faunalife really faded away, when the clan had turned completely anti-clan. no longer were they friendly and cheerful, instead they were rude and viscous. sure, faunny's father the notorious sabretooth/star might have loved that type of atmosphere but the red tabby girl was nothing like her father. in fact if one were to ask her who her father was then in most cases she would shrug and say she wasn't sure. those who knew of her father would understand why she didn't want to be known as his daughter. i mean, the man had castrated fauna's mate when she had become pregnant... but it seemed that after the 'phase' SunClan went through under permafrost' leadership that they came back stronger than ever. once again they were re friendly ad cheerful cats of the tabby's memories.

it had taken a lot of guts for the young lady to come back to SunClan. when she was there she had been labelled a vixen and a whore by her own brother, she had fallen in and out of love and broken many hearts - along with her own. yet she had returned, hoping that SunClan could offer her a new beginning and a second chance at the life she had *ed. upon returning she had found her son nelon and her once-lover thor. despite wanting to start again in life finding those two in SunClan had been her greatest joy! in her glee at finding them she had wanted to embrace thor just out of sheer pleasure at seeing him again! but the thought of thor's mate, espie, kept Faunalife at bay. gods, if the girl was still around she would murder Faunny for laying a paw on Thor!

now, laying down in the warmest spot the tabby cat had managed to find, the blue eyed feline wondered if he was up to anything. would now be a good time to seek out his company?

    [size=5pt][c] praetor dreamíe —[/size]

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]Faunalife had been curious about whether or not espresso was still in SunClan and if she was still a part of thor's life right from the start when she saw the material band he wore. but with some quiet investigation and searching she had realised that, just like her, thor had been deserted by the one he had loved the most. one part of her wondered why he still held on, but the louder and larger section of her mind screamed that she knew the reason. because it was much less painful to hold onto a forgotten love than to admit that the one you loved above all else no longer wanted you or needed you. wasn't that why she had held on for so long anyways? it had taken her a huge amount of time to let go of the love that she had harboured for nineteen. in ways it was still there, just a small little tickle in the back of her mind now. no longer did that love hold the force of crashing waves and stormy skies... she had, even though it had hurt, admitted that he wouldn't be coming back this time.

sitting in her warm patch of sunlight she had been completely tuned out to the world around her, lost in her thoughts as she so often was. that was until thor spoke and the familiar voice caused her ears to prick and her blue eyes to lock quickly on his own green ones. ah, she regretted how things had blown up between them. once she could have said she loved him, but things had gotten messy and she was so very sorry for that... as he spoke, just a simple word, she couldn't muster the strength to smile. watching as he moved she didn't pull back at the feel of his paw against her cheek. in her mind she was playing back all the times he had touched her so, his actions in the past had been so teasing and had left her wanting more... but now she didn't know what to think of them.

"Thor." Faunalife found herself replying, her voice even and steady. it was odd really, talking to him when all those months ago they had stared at each other across the room with glowering eyes as they'd each snuggled by the side of the people they had called their mates. They had gone separate ways Thor and her and she found it ironic really that their paths should cross again. "I'm...." she wanted to say she was sorry for how things had ended between them. but she couldn't bring herself to really say it. instead she ignored the feeling completely, cleared her throat and spoke again.

"How are you?" she asked, her unblinking blue eyes gazing at him.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]watching him she marvelled at how strong and confident he appeared. never did he seem nervous, never did it look like he even tried to stay so composed! she on the other hand sat there forcing to keep her face blank and her body calm. as he lowered his paw, taking it from her face to rest back on the ground, she found herself growing frustrated. if there was one thing that Faunny hadn't lost it was her flaring temper! and now, as he unknowingly teased her so with that paw on her cheek, she was growing irritated. he was teasing her so perfectly and effortlessly without even realising it. sitting there with the material band on was like screaming in her face that she could never have him. placing that paw on her cheek was like walking her through every time he had touched her or flirted with her in his manly ways.

as he spoke though she found herself coking an eyebrow, or she would if she had one, as he went to say he was good. for she of all people knew he wasn't good - or even okay. as he spoke again she nodded, wanting nothing more than to be in his arms and let him know that he'd get through it. because of she, the teenage vixen and whore, had gotten through it then he definitely could. "i think we've both been better before." fauna meowed in response, sighing slightly. for a moment she had honestly thought he was going to continue with that lie of being fine...

"i know you're hurting thor... and i'm... i'm sorry." the red and white tabby cat meowed, hoping that he would know that she was apologising for so much more than his loss of espie...

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]so maybe apologising had dug them into an emotional hole... but it had needed to be said. Faunalife needed him to know that she was so so so sorry for everything she had done. ears twitching as he spoke she sighed slightly, shaking her head. why couldn't their life have been simple and easy? probably because that would have been way too easy. as he apologised the corner of her mouth twitched slightly, blue eyes shining. "You've got nothing to apologise for." she responded, tracking his movements with tenerife hued eyes as he sat down a little closer to her.

Faunalife had dug them into this emotional pit and now maybe she should get them out. because if she didn't she feared really messing things up with thor. forcing a smile to grace her face she reached out a paw to nudge him in a playful way, just as she used to when they were younger. "honestly though! when did you come back to SunClan? you gave me the surprise of my life when you appeared." the red and white tabby cat explained, keeping a cheery tone in her voice. she was completely determined to lighten the mood here.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; letter-spacing: -1px;]as it so happened, cain and vanillatwilight were not the only sunclanners drawn by the sound of the tune. faunalife, her blue eyes aglow, had been out for a hunt when her red tabby ears had pricked and swivelled in the direction of the sound. it may sound cliché but the beautiful tune was literally music to the red and white domestic's ears. despite not knowing the tune or any of the words that went along with it the blue eyed girl was nevertheless drawn to the sound. deciding to check it out the sunclan knight had padded lightly towards the scene, cocking her head to the side as she came to a stop by vani and cain. "that's a lovely tune," faunalife meowed, a soft smile gracing her rather pleasant features. "does it have a name? or did you make it up just then?"

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; letter-spacing: -1px;]"What's happening?" Faunalife meowed with a friendly smile as she padded forwards, joining the small group gathered around Audrey. Watching as that cool smile filled the feline's face the red and white tabby had been oddly alarmed. Cain was right, there was something not so right about her... Not that she was any expert, after all she had never really spoken to Audrey before this moment.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; letter-spacing: -1px;]Leaving so soon? The red and white tabby cat had thought to herself as she watched the duo grow smaller on the horizon. Faunalife had watched them for a moment with her bright blue eyes before she had focused her gaze on her clanmates to gage their reactions. It would appear that most here felt indifferent to the two young creatures leaving the clan. She on the other hand felt pity, because it truly was sad that they were leaving so soon. But at the same time she understood, the cheerfulness and activity of SunClan could be a little overbearing for some people - obviously it just hadn't worked well for those two.

"It's a pity, really..." The tabby cat had sighed, tilting her head slightly to the side as she spoke. "But I sure hope they get where they're going safely." Fauna added, expressing her worry for the two young animals out there on their own. Honestly if they were her children she wouldn't let them leave her sight for a moment, yet there they were wondering so calmly away.

I'm happy to help out."

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; letter-spacing: -1px;][size=8]"Only about 3 weeks . . . where did you go?" As he spoke, his voice still utterly serious to match the look on his face her smile faded and she decided to just roll with it. But the question hit home. Where had she gone? In all honesty Faunalife couldn't name the places she had gone. For months she had just walked, so sad and weary that she didn't even have the heart to cry. Once Nineteen had disappeared all of her happiness and spirit had too. It had taken her a long time to realise that there was still hope for a life without the solid blue tom-cat. That time she had spent walking, wanting to be anywhere but the places where they had shared so many memories.

"I walked," Fauna meowed simply, her blue eyes flickering off the handsome tom-cat to stare into the thin air in front of her. "For a long time. Once he was gone it was as if he had taken all of me with him... I couldn't stay and so I left. I didn't tell anyone I was going I just went," As she spoke Faunalife felt the harsh memories of days and weeks and months spent talking to no one and just walking. "I walked for a long time... Mainly because I couldn't face the fact that he could leave me and that I wasn't good enough for him anymore." The flame pelted she explained, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath as she told her tale. "Eventually? Well eventually I realised he wasn't coming back, I realised that life went on without him. The world didn't stop just because his love did. So eventually I just came home."

As she finished speaking she looked back at him, blinking her blue eyes softly. "And you? Where did you go?" Came her querying words. Where Thor had disappeared to had been a subject of interest for the flame-pelted she-cat.

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; letter-spacing: -1px;][size=8]Unlike Bonepup, Faunalife found music quite enjoyable. She liked the variety in voices, the way some people sing high and sweet melodies well others sung lower and haunting tunes. Although she never was an amazing singer the red and white tabby cat did enjoy listening to people sing. After all, hadn't she encouraged her daughter, Isaebella Dee, to continue with the choir when she had joined? Not only that but she could remember Espie when she was young, before she began to hate Fauna, always waltzing around singing. One particular song had stuck with her, that one called "Carmen". Faunalife could still remember the words... "Carmen, Carmen doesn't have a problem, lying to herself 'cause her liquor's top-shelf."

Now, listening to Anubis singing, the red tabby had a warm smile on her face as she padded up to Cain's side. "Nice to meet you all, I'm Faunalife!" the lady claimed, blue eyes twinkling as she spoke.

    [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; letter-spacing: -1px;][size=8]
"Whatever are they doing on the roof?" Fauna found herself saying as she padded towards Skully and Bonepup, an amused smile playing on her maw. Tilting her head up to look at the figures on the roof she found herself almost yearning to join them. It was the kind of adventurous and daredevil thing that the Faunalife of a couple of months ago would've done. Probably just in the hopes that she would slip, fall and die - ending the misery she had suffered at the time. But now the pretty tabby cat valued her life much more. "Nice up there?" Fauna called, directing her words to the group on the roof as she sat, curling her tail around her white coated paws.[/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; letter-spacing: -1px;][size=8]As she watched the tom's reaction to her words she realised that the subjects of their past love affairs were always going to be hard. Thor didn't want to hear about Nineteen and she herself didn't want to hear of a Espie. Closing her blue eyes for another moment she felt a memory flash before her eyes. Two actually. The time that, as kits, Thor had held her cheek with his paw (just like he had before) and had confessed to being jealous of Coldkit and Ninekit. Then the time he'd taken her out on a 'date' in the junkyard with the picnic rug and the fairy lights... It was there he had told her that one day he would be in love with her. But that day had never come, had it? For here they were now talking awkwardly both recovering from past loves. They had been good for each other though, she knew that. The two had levelled each other out, brought out the best in each other. Yet of course she had screwed up everything there.

Watching as Thor's ears moved to becomes pinned to his head she regretted asking what happened to him straight away. But as he spoke she felt herself almost choke on the air she was breathing in. Everyone, everyone, had thought that he had left Espie. That he had simply had enough of it and walked away. Honestly Faunalife wasn't sure why she ever believed that, because she had known Thor too well to think he would walk away. But at the time she had believed it, because she was in a pit of sadness that felt, at the time, as if there was no way out of it. Yet he had tried, he had tried so hard to come back that eventually he did... Even though he was hurt and sore he fought so hard to get back. Watching him she forced herself not to speak words of sympathy for she knew the red tabby tom would not accept her pity. Nor would he appreciate it.

"Everyone just thought you had left - for the longest time we all thought you had just gotten up and walked away from the family you had with... her." Fauna explained quietly, finding it much too hard to say the name of the she-cat that had succeeded in winning Thor's heart where she had not. "I guess I should've known though - you were always much too loyal and brave for your own good."
