"Indeed. We're always around." Greeting the unfamiliar male with a small smile and dip of her head, Monika checked to make sure he was no threat. Wouldn't want to lead an enemy into the camp, a place supposed to be safe.

Nope, he checked out. Now, to business. "Might I ask your name?"

Prom. Why was she here again?

Because Monika actually liked social events like this. It might have seemed surprising to some, but she did actually like these. Especially things such as prom or anything else that required formality. It was absolutely her forte.

She wore a long white dress, a ring of diamonds ( synthetic of course! ) around the midsection of it, shiny silver bracelets around her right wrist and diamond earrings adorning her ears. She had a whole theme going, silver and white. And she absolutely loved it.

She actually arrived with John, but they both ended up going separate ways as soon as they got there, which was fine. It wasn't like they were dates. They really weren't. Hell no.

"Tama!" Oh look, there was one of her friends now. Thank god, she didn't want to just walk around with no purpose to it the whole time. Walking up to the other as she entered, the German girl let a smile decorate her features as she looked the dress up and down. Tama in a dress? No... She could get used to this. [b]"You look stunning."

    Where was she?

She knew this was all just a dream, she knew that. But this wasn't BlizzardClan. This place was...dark. Shadows danced around her, and the only lights she saw were the moving and flickering lights of fireflies.

She felt compared to explore, so she took the first few steps she needed and continued from there, a little wary and yet unafraid all the same, as if she knew this place. And she felt she did, though she'd never seen any place like this before.

She stepped out from behind a tree, watching as some of those shadows formed into a figure. A tall and young figure. A tiger, it seemed. She didn't know what it was about him, but he was all too intriguing to her. From behind, he looked so strong, so brave...she felt attraction.

Then he turned, and something changed all at once. Feelings of pain and betrayal filled her heart, visions of blood and some girl taking over her mind. She imagined his death, though it was too violent to be real.

Then it all lightened up, and the figure was gone. She couldn't breath as first, the sudden pain and emotion too much to handle.

She stumbled away, not wanting to be in that place.

In time, she found herself running. Shadows of once alive beings screamed and shouted at her, and it was enough to drive her mad.

The ground eventually crumbled beneath her, and she fell. Water filled the space beneath her falling body, and she crashed into it, breaking it's surface. Scarlet bloomed out like a beautiful display of the pain she suddenly felt, realizing she had impaled herself on a rock as she tumbled down the earth into the water.

    "Look at me."

That voice was in her head, but she obeyed anyway. She looked up, seeing something reach for her. A lioness, she was sure, and as it got closer, she realized she was right.

As it reached closer, she closed her eyes, feeling nothing at all.

She awoke with a start, coughing and feeling as if she would drown. Monika shook like she was freezing, breathing heavily. She pushed herself up and stumbled outside, coughing even more. But when she felt something upon her jaw, she looked down and only got even more disturbed. She coughed up blood, and it hadn't stopped.

She was tired of these memories. They only brought pain.

    "Why are you still here?"

"Stop it...!" She shook her head, heart racing. She was so scared. Was she going to die? Was this person, whoever she had been, were they going to retake this body? Push her soul far away?

She was being possessed. She was losing her grip...on herself?

    "Give me back my body."

    "Get out of my head!"

i'm in the mood for my main characters to get possessed.

"I..." She shook her head, trying to calm down. Though, as she was quickly discovering, it was hard to calm down when there was someone in your head demanding such things as it was. It was actually scaring her.

And this was one of the first times she ever had so much emotion. Now, she was no robot, but this way beyond her. That didn't help at all, either. "It's...She's...I don't want to disappear...!" She couldn't even come up with full sentences at this point. It was just sobs and shaky words. What was happening to her? [b]"I don't want to die..."

    "Tama...I'm sorry..."

As her friend embraced her, telling her it would be okay, Monika let out a few shaky breaths, shuddering as a chill ran down her spine. No, she had to pull herself together. She was fine, she was still here.

    "Candy..."

That same person, in the back of her mind, was calling out to someone. She didn't know who this person was, but whoever they were, mentioning them sent a wave of sadness through her. But, somehow, calmed that ever so angry spirit inside her.

She hugged her friend tightly, though careful not to crush her. Normally she would've pushed everyone away and left to be alone, not being able to stand her moment of extreme weakness. But she couldn't bring herself to do that. Not now.

"I don't know who it is...I don't know..." Trying to answer Lacelock's question the best she could, Monika closed her eyes and just leaned into Tama a little bit. God knows she needed the comfort. Hopefully she wasn't being too clingy or overbearing. "Someone from the past. I think she might have been...me."

"I'm not possessed! And I think you got salt in my eye." Blinking icy blue eyes as she felt a stinging pain, Monika rubbed her eyes and shook her head. Just great.

Who was this person? Hadn't they talked at the border or something? Well, whatever. The thing now was that she had salt in her eye and Whitepaw was rambling about something having to do with demons and her being possessed. It wasn't that...it was a little more complicated. And what was the deal with salt? How did that work?

"Might I ask why you use salt? That's simply and old wives' tale, and I rather you not blind me."

( human au, hope you don't mind! gives me muse, especially in private threads. )

So, now she knew. She had most of her memories, and she got what she wanted. Of course, there was the occasional regret that she did, especially with the sad ones, but for the most part, she was relieved to have gotten them back.

    There was just one problem.

Looking at Tama now had gone from a vague déjà vu to finding herself saddened for no reason. Obviously someone knew, whoever she had been. But the thing was, she couldn't possibly know Tama. Unless...

No, they couldn't have been the same? That girl she saw so often in those memories, going back to old days. There was no way. Maybe she saw some resemblance, but it couldn't have been...right?

Shaking her head, Monika brushed some blonde hair out of her face and tried to push all that aside. She had to stop thinking about it, that was it. She just needed to relax. But at the same time, guess who was really her only friend. You guessed it.

    Oh.

That was right. She only had one real friend. Up until now, she hadn't cared much about friends, always focusing on getting the job at hand done. Being successful and all that. Guess now she had a friend. That was strange.

Monika sat by a small river, tugging on one strap of the short black dress she was wearing, her legs under water, the surface of it just below her knees. It was a rather relaxing place to be, the gentle sound of water as it moved around the rocks calming her nerves down quite a bit.

"I'm good, actually!" Looking up at Tama with a smile as she showed up, Monika offered a wave and tugged at her dress again. Nervous habit, she supposed.

That small feeling was messing with her again, whoever it was. She'd put together enough pieces to realize there was something about Tama this other person knew of, but she didn't know that much. It truly irritated her, and she wanted to know what that thing was. [b]"How's everything going for you?"

"Good. Hey, Tama...can I talk to you about something?" Glancing up once more, Monika pat the ground beside her, offering a seat for her friend. Wouldn't want her just standing there while she was sitting. How rude.

She wanted to see if Tama knew anything, but she wasn't here to interrogate her. She was just...curious. Maybe she could figure out some more information. Specifically if she knew about any sort of past life, too.

"Alright..." How would she word this without sounding crazy? She was pretty worried about that, but then again, this was Tama. Her friend. Friends wouldn't do something like that, would they? Hopefully she wouldn't.

"So, I think I've figured out that I'm the reincarnate of someone, and I know now who it is, but there's something always on my mind. They keep mentioning someone, and they sound pretty sad about it. I think it has something to do with you, but I just don't know why. I want to help her, but it just all sounds crazy..." She let all her words out like that, as if breaking a wall to let water flood out. She needed to just...get it all out. It would be the easiest for her to talk about this like that.

"Do you know anything about Candyfangs?"

"I see...that would make a lot of sense, then...I think I knew Candyfangs, or at least the past me did."

Monika looked down, lightly tapping her chin in thought. She closed her eyes for a few moments before opening them when she heard the question.

    Who had she been?

She tried to find a name. She looked through what she had, finding all these things that never got her any closer, or did they? There was the man she saw in her nightmare, Realm or something. That was his nickname, right? And there was Gloire, and some other young girl she must've known. One who was apparently her sister, and there was her mother...all names forgotten, though. And she felt bad.

And then she saw it. There was this young woman, blonde hair short and pulled back into an even shorter ponytail, wearing a black t-shirt, ripped jeans, and boots. Things she knew, things she had worn. Did she get that from this woman?

Their eyes were the same, too. Bright and blue and tough. She looked a little tougher than her, though, obvious muscle keeping her whole body smooth and toned. She seemed nice, though, and smiled at her.

    "Scheiße..."

She snapped out of it, what she was looking for rushing back to her all of a sudden. She looked up at Tama, looking a bit shocked.

    // *crashes through the roof*
yoooo, i'm Tori and i've been here a couple of years, but i can't remember how many. I've played quite a few characters, and I tend to play multiple characters in one clan a lot. I currently play Monika and John in BlizzardClan as of now, and I have a few more in other places.
I'm just your average awkward teenage girl in the U.S., and I can't think of a whole lot to say. I'm a fan of anime and supernatural stuff, and I might have sold my soul to Hamilton, among other things. And trust me, i'm always open to PMs!

    -----

"Monika. I don't have much to say, but it's a pleasure to meet you all, those I haven't had a change of meeting until now." Already one could tell she was a slight bit awkward, but she tried not to show it. She wasn't good at social things like this, she was never good with people.

"Name's John Laurens! Best friend to Hamilton and Poe, and friends to everyone else if I can help it! I haven't been here as long as some, but that hasn't stopped me, has it?" The black golden retriever grinned as he wagged his tail, giving a bow. It wasn't until it got into his face that he realized his fur was becoming curly. Oh Was he becoming beautiful? "I was born in some random place and my father was a total asshole, so I came here! I was in ShadowClan for awhile, though...I just didn't fit in. Not as lively as here, you know?"

"Seems you have some company. I'd try not to fight it, baby ducks are almost impossible to get rid of when you're the chosen one."

With a small smile on her face after seeing the poor guy covered in ducklings, Monika shook her head and tried not to laugh. It was cute, and even cuter because he was a grumpy little sh!t. Now, this wasn't something you saw everyday, so she could say she enjoyed this. A lot. "Are they warm and fuzzy?"

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★ ★ ★-- Good god, he was in so much pain.

This is what he got for leaving his brothers behind. Not that he should have stayed. Ever since his mother had disappeared that one stormy night and never came back, he had just been fighting relentlessly with his siblings. Who were, and damn them for it, all much bigger than he was. Was he the runt of the litter? Unfortunately, yes. That didn't stop him, though. He still picked fights and whatever else he did to piss them off. And he wasn't even that old.

He used to be the cutest little kid. Still a bit sarcastic at times, and just the slightest bit maniacal, but cute. Then something happened and you had the pain in the ass that stood today. Maybe it because he was always around those bigger and stronger than him, you had to defend yourself somehow.

But as he left, finally parted ways with his brothers, life turned around and spit in his face...again. Got into a fight with a badger or something, violent thing. Blood bubbled out of nasty wounds around his waist where the beast had sunk his teeth in, tearing open skin and possibly hitting bone. His legs were soaked from the blood alone, and the older scarlet that had erupted out of the mangled flesh was drying in that nasty black color as his fur stood in spikes in all directions. His head was cracked open above his left eye, which left him even more bloody and partially blinded from blood threatening to get into his eye. Damn thing had slammed him against the ground like he was weightless. Bottom line, he looked awful. Blood covered, dirty from his fight and just wandering about, and he certainly was in need of food. Now. You could see his rib cage clearly against the skin.

He was surprised enough when someone approached him, but his surprise turned quickly to irritation when he was offered food. His stomach growled loudly, but being as stubborn as he was, he decided to refuse. Well, that and the fact that he'd rather not bleed to death than not be hungry. Priorities. "Food is the last bloody thing on my mind. I'll eat when I'm sure that I won't die any given moment." He observed this person. Definitely a Yank. He frowned. Hadn't seen one of those in some time. And where he had, well...that was a long story. Hard to explain, and he refused to do so.
