[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]Tetsuro flinched when Nori hit the ground, about to step over to get him, but the other was safely behind him before he knew it. Alright, at least he could keep him out of harm's way like this. The man would have to get through him to get to Nori, and that was a good thing as far as he was concerned because Tetsuro was definitely stronger than he looked. It would've taken a lot to get past him, but then again, the male before him was about his size, if not a bit bigger. That made him uneasy.

"Ssh," he murmured gently, trying to hush Nori. The other's input probably wouldn't help much at this point, and Tetsuro could tell by the way the man stepped closer that yeah, it definitely hadn't aided his efforts. However, he stood his ground and cleared his throat, only to stress and articulate one word. "No," It was as simple as that. He definitely wasn't going to just pass Nori off like that, there no way in hell. "Absolutely not. There is no way I'm going to give him to you just like that-- there's no way I'm going to give him to you period."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]Tetsuro knew what Nori was trying to do as soon as he spoke. Honestly, he had his doubts, considering the entrance was pretty noticeable. As the man came at them, he stepped back and braced himself for an impact that never came. No, he'd actually fallen through the floor. Good. That's what he deserved. That didn't mean he wanted to see the outcome.

Honestly, Tetsuro figured such a fall would kill someone on the spot. That obviously wasn't the case because the loud yell he heard moments later. He had no doubts the walkers would get to him before anything else. He felt his stomach churn at the thought, rubbing his temple as he tried to think about something else, almost like he was trying to forget all of this had just happened. He then ran a hand through his hair, tearing his gaze away from the ground and looking over at Nori. "Are you alright?" he asked, stepping close to the other male.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]Tetsuro watched the other with sympathetic eyes, frowning at his statement although he couldn't help but internally agree. God knows what that guy would've done to the other. Honestly, it wasn't something he wanted to dwell on. He wrapped his arms tightly around the smaller boy, almost in a protective way as he clung to him, a vague smile appearing on his lips as he looked down to answer the other. "Of course I wouldn't. I did say I wouldn't let anything happen to you, didn't I?"

By now, he had a thread hand threaded into the other's hair, simply trying to comfort him. Again, he felt a responsibility to make sure Nori was okay. He wasn't going to back out of that feeling any time soon. "I think we should just call it a day." he murmured, tracing patterns into the other's back with his fingertips.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]"I don't think wings just 'fall off', but whatever you say." Orian explained, the corners of his lips teased into a kind of half-smile that actually appeared pretty welcoming. Smiling was a rare thing for the demon, but it was yet another thing he did around Josiah that he wouldn't have dared to do anywhere else.

Oh, he knew well that he had the angel wrapped around his finger. He could tell just by looking at him. That didn't mean Orian had any malice intent though. It was quite the opposite really. He wouldn't have dared to use Josiah, let alone harm or manipulate him. Sure, he easily could have, he knew that, but he didn't. He probably couldn't bring himself to do such a thing even if he wanted to. Josiah just meant way too much to him. Maybe it was just the sheer fact the angel cared about him, but Orian really couldn't help but love him. On another note, he probably would've done whatever the other asked of him if it was in his power. He'd bend his morals and ethics, do anything just to make him happy. In a way, it a mutual thing.

Orian sighed, pressing a kiss the side corner of the other's lips. He knew he only had Josiah for so long. An hour or so wasn't long enough in his opinion -- no, he needed so much more time -- but he didn't complain. He was just grateful he actually got to see him. Then again, it would've been nice to have him around longer. Just a day would've done it, even a single night was better than nothing. Orian knew he was thinking up things that would more than likely never happen, but... he really couldn't help.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]Tetsuro nodded, watching the other go towards his bag and retreat back to him. He watched closely, examining with a keen gaze over every item that was pointed out to him. Wow, they actually had some pretty decent stuff. At least they wouldn't have to go out for awhile or at least not for necessities.

"Good job," Tetsuro praised, although he was sure he'd seen something else in the bag, but he wasn't going to be nosy. He had no right to be. "You got more than I did. All I managed to find were some clothes and first aid equipment and-- oh, do you like chocolate?" he asked out of the blue, remembering the candy he nabbed earlier. Considering the set of events that had just occured, he really didn't feel like eating so he figured maybe the other would want it.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]Orian pulled back, a small smile etching over his lips as he noticed the other's grin. It was kind of hard not to smile, and the demon was a weak soul around the other, there was no denying that. He laughed lightly, a low but soft sound that vibrated his chest. "Cute," he teased, his dull dark eyes brightening slightly.

The demon straightened, his gaze lifting to the sky for a split second. It was darker than it had been moments earlier, but he knew that was only thanks to fact days were shorter now. Either way, they didn't have a lot of daylight left. Ugh. Again, all he needed was a little more time than he knew he had, that's it. Was that really asking for much? He didn't think so.

    [mobile & rushed.]

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify;]"Great because I grabbed some when I we were at the plaza. Honestly, I don't know why since I don't even like it-- probably just impulse-- you can have it," Tetsuro explained, blinking when the other turned around only to look back at him with a cigarette hanging from his lips. He frowned slightly, his neutral expression disappearing under what might as well have been mild disgust. Quite frankly, he hated smoking. It was a dirty habit. Addicting too. So yeah, he didn't exactly like cigarettes.

"I hope you know how bad that is for you." he chastised sternly although he didn't sound angry. Maybe a bit disappointed, but not angry. Again, he found smoking horrible. It was the prime cause of a multitude of illnesses and diseases and was honestly just gross. Something like drinking he could've understood, mostly because alcohol wasn't terribly distasteful, but smoking just didn't set well with him.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Orion sighed softly when the other ran his fingers through his hair, smirking subtly before gingerly batting at his hand. "You're gonna mess it up," he joked, considering his hair was messy as is. His hair always tended to look like he'd just rolled out of bed and hadn't even bothered to touch it, which was kind of true, but really he just couldn't do anything about it.

Feeling Josiah rest his head against his shoulder, the demon wrapped his arms around the other, resting his arms on the dip of his back as he glanced around the area, giving it a quick once over before focusing back on the angel when he spoke. "I don't really mind it. Then again, I like the dark," It was a demon thing, he guessed, but he preferred the night over day, and had for awhile. That wasn't the point though. The point was it was getting dark. "It's getting kind of dark... Shouldn't you be getting back soon?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]"Rude," Orian murmured lazily, almost like he was tired although he was anything but. Then again, he'd never really been a very motivated or energetic individual. No, he was actually idle and was a pro at procrastinating. For a big, scary demon, he was mostly just a teddy bear with the appearance of a wolf. He wasn't nice, but you actually had to piss him off-- which was relatively hard-- in order for him to retaliate.

When Josiah mentioned staying with him, he almost immediately perked up although it wasn't exactly from excitement. More like concern. "Are you sure about that? That means you'll have to stay in the human world for the night if you so although I'm positive you already know that," he explained, furrowing his brows. It's not that he didn't want the other to stay, he was just worried about th consequences-- thinking ahead, y'know. "Plus, it's not like we can just stay out here in the middle of nowhere for the night. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of sleeping on the ground."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Tetsuro listened carefully, his gaze directed at the ground as he absorbed every word Nori said. It was obvious by the way his body tensed, by the way he bit the inside of his cheek, his attitude towards the situation. He was torn between how he should treat the situation, whether he needed to be soft-spoken or firm. Eventually, he came to a conclusion.

"Don't... Don't say things like that," Tetsuro muttered, glaring daggers at the other male. "Given, yes, you probably are going to die and so am I. Odds are by the hands of one of those things," he frowned, even if he seemed to be loosening up, his gaze slowly softening. "That doesn't mean you should mope about it. If you think like that, it's more likely to happen," Pale blue eyes retreated to the ceiling, gazing at the high wall above with little interest. "Besides, I really don't like the thought of you dying. After all, I was just starting to like you."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]"That's what I said," Tetsuro stated, looking over at Nori. The blond didn't really understand it much himself, but he'd formed a rather quick infatuation for the other. He wasn't completely head over heels or anything for him, but Tetsuro actually did like Nori. He enjoyed his company. He would've gladly stood up for or protected him. He didn't really get it, but he simply assumed that under the circumstances they were in he'd grown attached the other male.

Pale blue eyes narrowed slightly at Nori's accusation, but he hastily relaxed, frowning slightly. "Nori," he began. "I wouldn't just say something like that. There's plenty of other things I could've said to make you feel better, and that really wasn't my intention in the first place. I was just trying to get my point across," he mumbled softly, watching the smaller boy intently. "You don't have to believe me, but I really do like you." Tetsuro clarified before dropping the topic and deciding he'd already said enough and needed to put a sock in it.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]"Ouch, I could hear the sarcasm in that one," Orian commented, although he was obviously just joking. He smiled genuinely when Josiah said he'd never let him sleep on the ground, a quiet chucke brushing past his lips. "Alright, if that's what you really want then I guess I can't really say no, can I?" Personally, he really didn't like the idea of a hotel either, but they didn't have much of a choice. At least they could actually sleep in the same bed. Orian was elated about that part.

"You wanna go now?" the demon asked, brushing the other's hair back and catching a few pale locks of hair in between his fingers in. "It's getting kind of dark." he commented, gesturing up to the sky with his free hand or at least the one that wasn't messing with Josiah's hair. The idea of being with the angel longer than a couple of hours was actually a nice thought. Far past nice. It was also a bit nerve-racking, but since Josiah didn't appear worried, Orian didn't bother with it.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Tetsuro blinked, not sure if he was surprised by Nori's words or not. He eventually decided that he wasn't. "I'm... glad to hear that," he murmured, not really sure what else say, but he was honestly pretty relieved. It was nice to know the feeling was mutual. Honestly, it was probably the best thing that'd happened to him since all of this-- the zombies, the deaths, all of it-- happened.

A small smile appeared on his lips at the other's statement, hugging him back without hesitance. He probably could've stayed like that too if Nori hadn't pulled back. "Oh, yeah," he remembered when the chocolate was mentioned, sliding his hand inside his jacket pocket to retrieve the piece of candy that was surprisingly still in tact. It hadn't melted either. That was good. Tetsuro held the chocolate bar out for Nori to take, smiling vaguely. "There ya' go. It's all yours."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Orion watched the other create the ripple out of thin air (literally) before huffing slightly. Given, he didn't like angels, but they had some pretty kickass abilities he would have killed to get back. Sure, he had some tricks of his own, but it wasn't anything as convenient as that. He grinned slightly when Josiah tried to usher him through the ripple, making no move to resist when his hand was taken and he was led by the angel before him. Before he knew it, they were in front a building, one that actually looked pretty nice.

Orion realized they didn't have any money although that really wasn't much of a problem. They both had plenty of ways to get a room, but Josiah seemed to have that covered. He grinned faintly when the other 'persuaded' the woman into giving him a set of keys, and once they were out of earshot, he laughed faintly. "So much for being a precious, quintessential angel. I'm pretty sure you weren't supposed to do what you just did."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Tetsuro shook his head, eyes trained down at the smaller male. "No, it's fine," he explained. "I'm not big on chocolate or candy for that matter. I just grabbed it because I saw it. Besides, I want you to have it," With that said, he trailed over to the other side of the room, grabbing his bag that he'd tossed earlier. He needed to empty it, take out the supplies he didn't really need to lug around with him.

The blond briskly moved to nearest desk, swiping his arm over it to push the papers and such that cluttered it to the ground before placing his satchel atop of it. He then opened it, beginning to sort everything he'd found in a neat yet simple order. "You know what we need?" he inquired absentmindely. "Some blankets, maybe even sleeping bags. Oh, or maybe an air mattress if we can find one. I'm not exactly enthusiastic about the idea of having to sleep against a wall the rest of the time we're here."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Orion smirked at the other's statement, more focused on the room than anything. It was nice. A little small, but nice, especially for a one night stay. Besides, he'd stayed in places a lot worse, so he wasn't complaining. When he was tackled, he gasped, having had the breath knocked out of him. He shot a glare at Josiah, mostly for catching him off guard, but his harsh gaze quickly melted when the other started laughing which turned out to be pretty contagious. "Easy, tiger. I'm not going anywhere. Taking me down like that isn't necessary," he cooed, glancing at Josiah momentarily when he curled up next to him. "I seriously didn't even have time to get my shoes off or look around the room for that matter," Orion huffed, releasing his loose hold on the angel for a moment so he could sit up and kick his shoes off. After getting his jacket off as well, he directed his attention back to Josiah. It was going to be a long night, he knew that or at least he would try to keep it that way. Honestly, he really wasn't even tired. The demon was used to staying up all night and causing havoc throughout the human world-- he was sort of nocturnal, in a way, so he had no doubt it would be awhile before he was actually willing to settle down and rest.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]"Yeah," Tetsuro affirmed, setting his bag down against the desk when he'd set everything out in the most organized fashion he could. "Can you think of anything else we might need? God knows how long we'll be here, so we should probably start thinking of anything we might need while we still have a decent opportunity of finding it," If they waited, they'd only have a harder time finding anything they specifically needed, as looting was bound to become more popular as survivors grew more desperate. Tetsuro wasn't exactly worried, but he wanted to think ahead for his and Nori's sake.

The fleece blanket he'd kept in his bag was now hanging from his arms, his pale blue eyes tiredly looking out the nearest window. It was getting pretty dark. Tetsuro knew it wasn't as late as it appeared to be, but he felt like it would've been best to call it a night. They'd need to wake up early in the morning, and after everything that had happened, he was positive they both needed some rest. "We should probably call it a night, Nori. It's already dark outside."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]"Yeah, it did." Tetsuro agreed, glancing out the nearest window for what was probably the tenth time. Slowly, he maneuvered towards the wall, reverting back to where they'd slept the previous night before slowly sitting down, pressing his back against to wall in an attempt to keep his spine straight. He really didn't want a sore back in the morning.

He adjusted two or three times, shifting his legs and body until he was situated as comfortably as a person could probably be, making a lazy effort to push his boots off with his feet one at a time before kicking them to the side. Finally, his gaze landed back on Nori, and without really thinking about it, he opened his arms and held them out -- it was an invitation more or less. Really, if he were to be brutally honest with himself, Tetsurou kind of just wanted to hold the other. Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe it was some kind touchy-feely protective trait he'd formed over the course of a matter of hours, but either way, it's what he wanted.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Tetsurou wrapped his arms around Nori when the other had situated himself, struggling to keep his eyes open. He was tired albeit that was obvious. Struggling to stay awake, he was just about to knod off until he felt a pair of unfamiliar but soft-- really soft-- and definitely welcomed lips press against his cheek. He blinked, not entirely in shock but still slightly surprised.

"Of course." he eventually murmured, tightening his hold on Nori and drawing simple shapes into his back. He then shifted and rested his head against his own shoulder, his sky blue optics closing hastily. It didn't take long for the blond to lose consciousness, the rise and fall of his chest slowing exponentially along with his breathing.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 8pt; color: white; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]sure ~

    [hr]

It was morning when Tetsuro woke up. A little later than he would've liked, but still pretty early; the sun had only rose about halfway past the horizon. Slowly, his blue optics opened, his eyes immediately landing on the opposite side of room before he noticed the dull pain in his back and neck. Yeah, they definitely needed something better to sleep on. Speaking of they, he glanced down, his arms still defensively wrapped around the boy pressed against his chest.

Blinking, he leisurely leaned back, not really keen on moving or getting up at all. If it had been up to him, he probably would've gone back to sleep, but Tetsuro knew better than that. "Nori," he murmured, still looking down at the other male before cautiously raising a hand and brushing his hair back. "You need to wake up." Besides, Tetsuro couldn't get up until Nori got off of him. Well, he could've pushed him, but there was no way he was going to do that.
