She can be nice if you get to know her, but she is fairly defensive around strangers. She gets really sensitive and defensive if someone asks about her real family, or if they mention her father. She is witty and smart, and is kind of a know-it-all. She doesn't care for gossip and cares very little about what other cats think of her.
History: On a dark night in the middle of a huge rainstorm the medicine cat, Brackenfall, was brought a kit by a cat who said the parent's identity was to kept a secret, so he brought the to one of the nursing queens, a tabby she cat named Sunsky, and told her that the kit's parents had abandoned her and she needed a family.Sunsky gladly accepted the kit, as she had birthed no daughters and two sons just a sunrise before. Sunsky renamed the little she-cat Risingkit and raised her alongside her sons Flashkit and Flickerkit.
Risingkit eventually became an apprentice to a tom named Floodclaw, who taught her hold to hold her grip on the slippery rocks where they hunted and how to fish and swim in the cold waters of the creek. Early into her apprenticeship she fell in love with a tom by the name of Reedpaw, and they were mates for a short time before he left her for another apprentice named Mosspaw. She hated Mosspaw for the remainder of her apprenticeship until she realized that Reedpaw was nothing but a one-time fling. She moved on, focusing more on her training than obsessing over how much she hated Mosspaw.
About two moons before she became a warrior she asked Sunsky why she didn't look like her brothers or her parents. Sunsky explained to her that Brackenfall, the medicine cat, had given her to them to foster, as he said she was abandoned by her parents. Risingpaw was horrified. She began to dig deeper into who her real parents were. She asked Brackenfall and he told her her real mother's name. her mother's name was Hazelcloud, a Windclan warrior. Brackenfall refused to reveal anymore, and told her not to talk to Hazelcloud or he will postpone her Warrior Ceremony. She ignored him and looked for her at the next gathering after she'd become a warrior. She found Hazelcloud at the back of the clearing talking with two young warriors, a brown and white she-cat and a dark brown tom. She asked if thy could talk in private and she asked her if she was her real mother. Hazelcloud confirmed that and was crying about how sorry she was for giving her to Stormclan. Risingstorm asked who her father was, but Hazelcloud denied to answer. Risingstorm left disappointed and angry. She had to find out who her father was. She was ranting to one of her friends, Frozenpetal, who was confined to the medicine den and she started to get a little overreacted about all of it. Frozenpetal kindly told her to calm down. She angrily yelled at her that she didn't understand what it was like to not know who your real father was and ran out of the medicine den crying. Brackenfall found her on the shore of the creek crying and asked what was wrong. She explained why she was crying and how angry she was about no one telling her who her real father was. Brackenfall blurted out that he was her father in the middle of her explanation and she just gaped. He hung his head and began to walk away with his tail behind his legs, but Risingstorm ran after him and nuzzled her head against his neck and told him how thankful she was and how happy she was that he was her father. He smiled and told her she had a brother and a sister too, named Lavendersky and Sparrowflight. Risingstorm was happy she knew who her family was and was happier she had family in her clan who loved her. Brackenfall told her that she could not tell anyone about it though, because it was against the code for medicine cats to have a mate and kits.
