ic: Kay ran out of the bathroom towards the sound of the banging just as Graymark was possessed. "Oh, god!" she yelled at the sight of the security gaurd slumped on the floor. She began to ran over at the sight of the blood on his head, her eyes wild, hoping she could help him somehow. She stopped just in front of Graymark and slammed into her just as she called for the students attention. She took a few steps back and said, panting, "hey, who did that?!" she pointed at the unconcious guard on the floor, disregarding and not really realizing the fact that she was yelling at the director of the school. "is he hurt?! Who hurt him?!"

Kay just stared at Graymark in confusion as she grabbed her shoulders. "I'm sorru, ma'am, but I-" she began frantically, prepared to step away from the old woman's grasp. When she said she was Adrian, however, and was reassured the guard wasn't dead, her tense shoulders relaxed. She was still in a state of slight confusion as Madeleine dashed off to who-knows-where. Everything was happening too fast.

ic: For a moment, Kay looked at Alexander a little strangely. He's joking around at a time like this she thought. She realized then that people who had resided in the dorms for a while were probably used to this kind of thing. She laughed a little; it was a little forced while still being a little genuine; and looked over at Adrian as if expecting to be told what to do.

Kay was jolted out of zoning out when Kialani greeted her. "Oh... hello..." she said, and smiled a little. She wasn't used to being greeted so casually, and supposed she should be friendly back. She held out a hand for a handshake, looking at the wall behind the newcomer rather than the newcomer himself. "I'm Kay." When Alex turned to head off somewhere, Kay, not sure what else to do with herself, follow tentatively, lagging a few steps behind. She wasn't sure if he had intended for the group to tag along, so she didn't say anything. She looked behind her shoulder, expecting Kialani, Adrian, or both to follow as well.

ic: When Adrain made the comment about having boobs being difficult, Kay looked at him quizically, head tilted slightly. As Adrian was either still talking to her, beginning to turn around, or already walking away; she couldn't tell or remember; she looked down at her chest with eyebrows furrowed and, without thinking, put her hands on her breasts for a moment. Suddenly realizing how idiotic she was being, Kay let out a little squeek from her throat and slammed her hands back down to dangle vertically at her sides, her face turning a deep shade of pink she she whipped around and quickly followed Alexander without another word. She could only hope nobody saw that. The scene had only lasted little more than a second.

She wasn't sure whether it was acceptable to sit down next to him, in front of him, or a seat or two away from him, so she just made a last-minute decision and sat in front of him. "No..." she answered his question, shaking her head. "Not sure I want to see it again..." she said softly, only half-joking. She laughed a little.

Kay was silent at Madeleine's new demeanor, almost afraid to say anything. She turned her head to the waiter and said softly, "I-I-I'll just have, um..." God damn, why is my stutter coming back now?! She dug her nails into the palm of her right hand, though her face seemed mostly calm. She set her jaw and decided to change her order; she was going to get a salad with spinach leaves, but the letter S made her stutter when it was acting up. Her lips lay frozen, slightly parted, for a moment before she said with a burst of air, "Just..." He throat grew tight mid-phrase. "Nothing," she choked out, and forced herself to smile.

Kay narrowed her eyes slightly at Madeleine when she said that. "No, 's fine," she said a little frankly. She wasn't really mad at her, more just mad at herself; but she often times projected that at other people.

Kay watched, baffled, as Madeleine kissed Alexander's cheek. As Madeleine sauntered off, Kay stood up, apparently done for the day, frustrated and tired." G'night," she said frankly to Alexander without looking at him. She walked off in a bit of a pout, running her hands through her hair and digging her nails into her scalp. Tears were brimming her eyes. She turned the corner and headed hotly to the girl's dorm.

When Kay entered her room, she closed it shut gingerly and stood there, blank-faced, in the dim light. Her mandible was set harshly. She presently slammed the side of her fist against the wall in a burst of anger and ran her hands through her hair a little too hard. She slammed the lights off, ashamed of herself for stuttering even just a few times today, and flopped into bed. She closed her eyes in darkness, surrounded by books and chords, too morose to care to move them.

Kay pressed snooze thrice that fateful morning. Oh, if she could only have caught the stomach flu that morning. As she dressed and readied herself, anxiety for the day to come rose as well as the sun outside her window. Introductions. Socializing. Speeches. Oh, lord, speeches. Oh, lord... She had to sit down for a moment and take a few deep breaths before she was able to force herself to leave her dorm.

ooc: Dining hall... oh, yeah. Madeleine drank her fill of blood in the woods and now she's her "usual" self; flirtatious and cocky. Madeleine came back to join them in the dining hall and before we even got our food, she left, but not before kissing Alexander on the cheek. Kay stuttered a lot when trying to order her food so she stormed out after Madeleine, ashamed of herself. The others kind of just left. Oswald felt sick afterwords cause he didn't have enough ink or had too much ink; not really sure. Now it's the next morning and they're getting ready to go to school or are in their first class. Alexander has a nasty hangover and Madeleine is in flying class. Kay is just walking out of her room.
And @Rudolph, recaps are supposed to cover what all the characters are doing, not just one person's character :)
